IT PICKS UP THE BALL, treating us like a toy and slamming it to the floor. I hear the glass behind me break as the impact gives me whiplash. Zach squeezes my hand so I look at him and see him touching his buckle to unbuckle it. He glances at Gray and I nod grabbing his seatbelt while Zach grabs mine and his own. We unbuckle them at the same time and fall to the floor. There isnt enough time to run in between the first slam of the ball so Zach covers us with his body. Then as soon as it lifts up the ball, Zach pushes us.

"Go! Go!" We start booking it towards the trees. I dont think Ive ever ran so fast in my life. I look behind us as we reach the field and see it right behind us. I guess I was looking for too long cause there was a cliff right there and I lost my footing and fell off. I must be the world's clumsiest or something. As I fall into the water, I see Zach try to grab me but its too late.

I swim to the surface in time to see them jump off and the White Dinosaur eat the air right where they were. I immediately dive back under water and stay down there, carefully holding my breath. We wait what feels like an eternity but we hear it shriek and so we swim back up the surface and its completely gone. I dont know if ive ever been more scared. Would it have jumped into the water?

We swim for the shore and its extremely muddy as we climb our way onto the ledge of dirt. I feel like I can actually take my first breath of air in the longest time.

"You actually jumped." Zach laughs with his brother. "And you fell in." He points to me and we all laugh even harder. I slap his arm playfully as I lay on my back, still panting from that extremely close call. We stay there resting for a moment until we decide its time to go. We start walking around and my hand slips into Zach's. We look at each other and smile with a blush spreading across both our faces.

We manage to make it pretty deep into the forest despite not knowing how long it is. There was trees and even more trees for as long as we could see. Ive never been to this part of the park and I assume we're in the restricted area. Gray sees something up ahead and runs past us and picks it up. Its a helmet of a Jurassic World worker thats spilt almost in half at the center, and really broken. He starts to breathe heavily after seeing that and Zach snatches it from him, also looking at it. We look forward to see a broken golf-cart and he looks curiously at it.

"Stay here." He pats Gray on the chest but he holds onto his arm, not listening. I walk beside Zach, who tosses the helmet to the side and I watch it tumble to the ground. The golf cart is clearly broken, and it looks to have been abandoned hours ago. It looks like it was from today though, I couldnt see this being here for longer than 12 hours. I investigate it seeing a badge on the inside, picking it up. It looks to be a Jurassic Worker who got unlucky and was met with the crazy insane dinosaur.

Zach looks forward and there looks to be an abandoned building. Theres a door with stripes and an egg shaped handle. We all shove open the door and inside is tons of vegetation and plants everywhere. There is a banner on the floor that reads 'When Dinosaurs Ruled The Earth' that was old and disheveled. Something about that banner seemed so familiar but I couldnt quite place it.

"Wow." Zach says in awe of the place. He picks up a large dinosaur bone and investigates it flipping it around a few times. He brushes off the dirt from the banner with his foot and picks it up.

"You still have those matches?" Zach turns to Gray. Gray unzips his fanny pack and digs through it to find the matches.

"Here you go." Gray smiles as he finds them and hands it to him. Zach takes one and strikes it, lighting the banner wrapped around the bone on fire. He uses it as a light to get around. There was a velociraptor painted on the wall, covered in dirt and grime. I placed my hand on it, thinking about the raptors that I work with. Me and Zach walk away but Gray lingers looking at it.

"Gray!" Zach yells to him, snapping him out of his thoughts. We turn the corner into a shed or garage type area with two Jeep Wranglers. I notice a helmet on the wall with a logo on it, 'Jurassic Park' it read. I immediately realized this must be the abandoned remains of the park. It all makes sense now.

"1992 Jeep Wrangler Sahara, Sand Beige." Gray points out the make and model of the car. One is pretty dirty and one isnt as bad. I remember as a kid wanting to have one of these as a car, now seeing it infront of me brought a wave of nostalgia.

"You remember when we fixed up Grandpa's old Malibu, right?" Zach turns to Gray, asking him. Gray looks confused by his question, his face scrunching up. I look between the two as I get the sense of what Zach may be suggesting.

"Yeah." He responds, still confused. I understand what he means by that, we're going to fix up the Jeep so we can ride this thing out of here. We get set up to work. We open up both Jeeps and find one thats most suitable to use. We test it to try to see whats wrong and figure out it needs a new battery and a jump start.

We find a battery laying around in the warehouse and start working. We clean off some of the debris thats on it and get the dirt and grime off the car. We pull the old battery out of the car and move a few things around. In the distance we hear a twig snap, causing us to get distracted.

"You think it's out there?" Zach asks looking back. He turns back to notice the increase of worry on his brothers face realizing he messed up. He quickly scans for something else to say.

"I mean, I know for a fact it is definitely not out there, all right. We're totally safe." He reassures his brother, and Gray's face softens a bit. I smile looking at the two, knowing Zach is a good brother even if he doesn't present that way. Hes keeping his little brother safe no matter what.

"Here, go take this. You're stronger than me." Zach hands the battery to Gray, who smiles at his words. He places the battery by the instruction of Zach, to the right area. We loosen and tighten a few things here and there and replace a few wirings inside the engine.

"All right. Turn it over." He instructs Gray, who is sitting in the drivers seat, just barely reaching everything. He turns it on and the engine fires up. Our faces light up as we look between each other, the smell of old car spreading through to our eyes.

"Whoo!" Zach celebrates, and I give him a surprise hug. He pauses for a moment and then wraps his arms around me. Butterflies erupt in my stomach as I feel his warmth enveloping me. I wish I could stay in this moment forever and never leave. We unfortunately pull away trying to collect ourselves.

"It works!" Gray taps the steering wheel. I climb into front seat as Gray gets out into the back. Zach climbs into the drivers seat. I assume he can drive so Ill let him do it. I dont assume much of it as he gets prepped to drive.

"I thought you failed your driver's test." Gray points out and I turn to him. Erase everything I just said because if thats true he is not driving. Id like to make it back to the park alive, plus it would be cooler to be eaten by a dinosaur rather than from a car accident.

"No, only the driving part." Zach smiles and goes to leave when I stop him. I shake my head a purse my lips as he gives me a confused look.

"Ah-ah. We want to make it out of here alive. Move, switch with me." I smirk and open the car door, wiping a bit of dust off of the door handle.

"You can drive?" Zach questions. He still hasnt moved as he looks at me puzzled not expecting that.

"Duh. How else am I supposed to get around?" I tap him on the shoulder as we switch seats. I buckle my seat belt and smile. "Everyone buckled?" I get a sea of yes's and I pull out, careful to not hit anything, and to alert a certain huge dinosaur in the distance.

1575 words! yes girlie can drive 😜
