3rd POV - AUTHOR

(F/N) sighed in relief knowing that Kuroko was able to use his abilities again but this time with a twist. 

Since Mayuzumi had all the attention on him, Kuroko had no one watching him, letting him move around on the court freely.

When Hayama had the ball and took a shot, it fell short making Kiyoshi have the ball in his hands and letting Seirin counter. 

But that doesn't mean that Rakuzan just let everything run smoothly, Akashi was able to intercept Seirin's pass but came face to face with Kagami who was in the Zone again.

(F/N) and Alex watched from where they were and saw how the redhead moved back. 

"He's in the zone while using his Wild Instincts. Taiga, you truly are amazing." (F/N) smiled.

But Akashi was able to pass to Mayuzumi who passed to Nebuya to score. But luckily, Seirin was able to score again.

It was now again Kagami Taiga vs. Akashi Seijuro but the latter passed the ball to Mayuzumi who had Kuroko guarding him. 

The former's instincts started to kick in so he made a drive to get closer to the net and shoot. But Kagami was able to smack the ball down.

Kuroko used Ignite Pass Kai to pass to Kiyoshi who dunked the ball. The lead was now down to 19. Rakuzan then again took a timeout. 

Everyone thought that Mayuzumi was going to be benched but when the timeout was over, he was still in. And the reason was for Akashi to use his abilities.

With Mayuzumi's abilities, he completely overshadows his abilities, drawing eyes on him. Akashi is exploiting that to manipulate Kagami's line of vision. 

He was using the 3rd year to be able to pass the ball. (F/N) chuckled darkly. "Seijuro, you really are cruel." She noted.

The game was back and forth with the point gap not closing in at all. 

What caught everyone on the court's attention was when Izuki was able to keep up with Hayama's Lightning Dribble. 

But that was only for a few seconds because after that, Hayama was able to score a lay-up.

The game was still back and forth with a point gap of 20. 

When Hayama had the ball again and was up against Izuki again, Hayama broke out from Izuki's defence but Kuroko was there. 

But unfortunately, Kuroko couldn't keep up with Hayama's speed but luckily Izuki was still around and Hayama was in Kagami's range.

The said redhead was able to swat the ball out of the 2nd year's possession and Kuroko passed it all the way to the other side of the court. 

Koganei and Izuki tried to score but Mibuchi and Hayama were gonna block them so they set Kagami an Alley-oop as the said male slammed the ball into the hoop.

The game went back to back and forth. As Hyuga listened and watched everything go down on the court, he felt the need to go back into the court in the 4th and final quarter, even if he had 4 fouls already and 1 more which led to him being benched. 

(F/N) breathed out when the 3rd quarter ended.

The stakes were just getting higher and higher. "I feel like I'm growing older while watching this match." She ruffled her hair. 

In 10 more minutes, everyone in this stadium will find out who will win the Winter Cup. 

Seirin started off strong with Kuroko passing to Hyuga with Ignite Pass and the latter scoring a 3 pointer.

When Mibuchi had the ball, everyone thought that Hyuga might get his 5th and final foul when the latter shifted his centre of gravity and touched the ball slightly, throwing it off its line of course. Kiyoshi was able to grab the ball and send it to Kagami who scored.

Mibuchi was given the ball again by Akashi and he planned to use Void to score against Hyuga but it seems like he found out how it works. 

Since the long haired male was able to dip his hips lower, when he jumps, he hesitates, making the opponents' knees locked. (F/N) was really impressed to say the least.

With Hyuga smacking the ball away, Seirin was able to counter. The ball was passed to Kuroko to Kiyoshi and then back to Hyuga who scored a 3 pointer. 

Seirin was able to score again in the stealth full court press. The lead is now down to 10.

(F/N) felt a shift in the air after Seirin scored. She looked at her maroon haired former student. "Oh shit." She muttered.

Akashi, using his skills, got past everyone, and scored all by himself, even breaking Hyuga and Izuki's ankles. Seirin called for a timeout, trying to figure out what to do next.

They ended up having Kagami go against Akashi but it seems like nothing was working since the latter is in the Zone plus he has his Emperor Eyes. 

Luckily, Seirin had Kuroko and Kagami on their side. Since Kagami wasn't able to stop Akashi, and the latter's attention was on the redhead, Akashi didn't notice Kuroko until the ball was out of his possession.

Akashi from the other side of the court, rushed back to get the ball but Kagami passed to Kuroko who passed it back to him to perform an Alley-oop. 

Akashi, not giving up yet, jumped up to block the ball but got pushed down mid-air.

After that mini defeat, Akashi had lost his flow and was now out of the Zone. 

When Rakuzan asked for a timeout, Akashi was lost in thought on his chair. 

(F/N) now had high hopes that Seirin will have this in the bag. 

The young coach felt some intense stare and looked in the direction it was coming from.

It was Kagami staring at her. She smiled brightly at him and showed him a thumbs up which made him smile up at her. 

He was going to keep his promise and was not backing down any time soon. 

Seirin kept scoring point after point until Rakuzan asked for another time out.

(F/N) felt a buzzing come from her phone and saw it was a text message from Ogiwara-kun saying that he had finally arrived at the stadium. 

As she was typing a reply back, she felt another shift in the air. She whipped her head up and looked at Rakuzan's side of the court.

(F/N) looked directly at Akashi and saw that his eyes were now both maroon. 

"Seijuro..." She muttered in disbelief. Ever since the old Akashi came back, Rakuzan was on a roll, scoring point after point. 

Akashi was now in the zone, but what caught everyone's attention was that all of Rakuzan was in the Zone.

With everyone in the Zone, Rakuzan was again dominating the court. (F/N) couldn't help but sit at the edge of her seat, sitting in anticipation. 

Somewhere else in the stands, a male looked solemnly at the court or more specifically, Kuroko. Who could it be?
