After a very long cat nap, (Y/N) woke up but she soon realized that she wasn't in the forest anymore. She was laying on a comfortable bed under warm blankets and was in a warm cozy room. Well, if you can call a room painted with a black cozy but she indeed found it cozy. Her (E/C) looked around before she looked outside the window that was situated beside her bed. The room she was in seemed to be very high as she could see and entire mile of trees ahead of her. Either that or there just small seedlings.

She removed the covers off of her and stood up. Her shoes had been removed, leaving her walking on her tights along since she wore no socks. She walked around the room, sliding her finger across the surfaces and feeling them. The room was clean and simple. No cobwebs hang about the room and there was no collected dust. The walls weren't covered with anything and no cracks were visible.

As the (H/C)-nette walked around she spotted a mirror on a wall. She decided to check herself out and see if she changed. She remembered reading that once someone jumps through a portal to another realm, there's a chance their appearance might change. (Y/N) didn't believe it at first but now that she had done it, she might as well see if it were true.

She walked towards it and her jaw practically dropped. Her clothes were still the same but her appearance had in fact changed. Her once (S/C) skin was now darker, almost like another color. Large canines protruded out of her mouth. Her pupils were now slitted like that of a cat. But the most surprising out of all of it was the fact that she had two pointy ears, the color of her skin, on the top of her head. She raised her hands to gently touch them put immediately pulled back when she felt weird tingles run through her body.

As (Y/N) stared at herself in disbelief, she unconsciously turned her body to see if she has a tail which, to her surprise yet pleasure, she didn't. The (E/C) eyed female let out out a sigh of relief before she froze in her place when she heard the door open slightly. 

She looked through the mirror and saw nothing in the reflection. She slowly let out the breath she was holding before she turned around to explore the room more. Unfortunately for her, she didn't notice someone standing behind her until it was too late. She felt her soul practically leave her body once she saw a tall shadowy figure behind her.

(Y/N) jumped back and hissed at the person making them back up slowly. By then, her fingernails had grown slightly and her hair was frizzed. She took a defensive position and was ready to pounce on them when they raised their hands, or what seemed to the (S/C) skinned girl were hands.

"Do not be afraid. I am an ally, a friend if you must." The figure spoke in a dark but female voice.

"I-If you're really a-an ally, show me y-your face." The girl cursed herself for stuttering in such a situation.

"Very well then." It then proceeded to step into the moonlight that came into the room through the window and (Y/N) saw a pretty young face emerge from the shadows. She had pale white skin and silver colored eyes and light purple hair. Even with her little knowledge of monsters, (Y/N) could tell that she was a ghost because of seemingly transparent hands and feet and she was floating a couple of inches from the ground.

"Okay then." The girl said before standing down. It was only then she realized what she had done and looked at herself in surprise.

"You aren't originally a monster, are you?" The ghost lady asked. (Y/N) wanted to lie but this woman may have gone through all the trouble to bring her here when she could have just left her there.

"No I'm not." She replied truthfully.

"I see. Care to tell me what happened?" And so, (Y/N) proceeded to tell her about the portal incident, obviously leaving out the parts that happened before.

"(Y/N) dear," The ghost lady began to say. "Do you want to return back your world?" She immediately shook her head no and the ghost sighed before smiling at her. "I suppose this is your new home."

(Y/N) looked at her in shock before quickly refusing the idea. "I can't do that. You've already gone through so much trouble and-"

"Do you have anywhere else to go?" The lady swiftly cut her off. She smirked as she saw the young girl quickly close her mouth before she continued. "Perhaps I can teach you about this world and my young ones can bring you up to date with the current fashion."

"Young ones?" (Y/N) asked before she felt something collide with her back. She turned to see two ghosts, one was a girl her age with long wavy purple hair and dark blue eyes while the other was a young and handsome teenage boy with short black hair and faded blue eyes.

"Meet my children: Ari and Arion." The lady introduced them. "Please help our guest settle in her new home and world."

"Sure." "Yay!" The two replied simultaneously before pulling her out of the room. And that was how (Y/N) Cheshire began to live with the Hauntingtons whilst she stayed in the monster world. Arion taught her about the monster terminologies and slang, like how one was to say 'Oh My Ghoul' instead of 'Oh My Hex' like she was used to or how a girl was referred to 'ghoul' while a boy is called a 'manster'.

Ari had gone and brought the latest and most popular magazines to teach the (Y/N) about the latest fashion. She taught her how to apply makeup and all about the most famous designers in the monster world. They went out to buy the most popular clothing so she could fit right in. Miss Hauntington taught her about the Monster World and had her enrolled into a high school called Monster High.

At first (Y/N) was excited for school but her mood deflated once she realized that her two new friends won't be in the same school. Because of their ability to change their appearances, Ari and Arion went to a normie school in a town nearby.

"What if you want to invite friends over?" She had asked them.

"Then we just take them to our dad's house." Ari replied. Their parents divorced when the two were young but their parents are still good friends and they all maintain a healthy relationship.

So after an entire month, (Y/N) was finally ready to attend a monster high school. She was woken up by Ari who was already to go to school in her normie disguise. The (H/C)-nette quickly showered and wore the outfit that Ari had picked out for her the night before.

It consisted of a thin, long sleeved, black overcoat that reached her ankles, underneath it was a cute, no sleeved, lavender tank top with black and white patterns. On her waist, a long silver chain was wrapped around it and it held small key chains of cat faces and and paws. On her bottom half, she wore a pair of denim shorts that reached her mid thigh and fishnet leggings. On her feet, she wore black, high heeled, laced boots that reached her knee.

"Oh My Ghoul!" Ari exclaimed. "You look fangtastic!"

"Woah!" Arion said as he floated down the stairs. His eyes scanned her body head to toe before whistling lowly. "Those boys are lucky to have you there doll."

"Ew!" Ari yelled while the (H/C)-nette blushed at the comment. Ari threw her book at him but it passed right through him.

"Alright, calm down." Miss Hauntington said as she clapped her hands. "Have a great day at school today and remember you two no one must know about your monster identities."

"Huh? Why?" (Y/N) asked.

"Normies are afraid of monsters and sometimes hunt them down." Arion said before his sister interrupted him. "If they were to find out we were ghosts, they'd chase us out of New Saleem and back to Hunted High."

"Hunted High?" The (H/C)-nette asked again but this time the twins didn't answer her.

"That's a story for another time. You're going to be late for school." Their mother said and with that, the three teens bid Miss Hauntington farewell before leaving the house. But before the (E/C) eyed girl left the door, Ms. Hauntignton handed her an iCoffin and a school bag with all her her needed school supplies. Ari and Arion floated away in the opposite direction to get to their school bus and (Y/N) was left walking by herself towards her new school.

"Monster High, here I come."
