"Kurt! Will! Anybody!" Ziggy shouts as she runs after the bus, hauling a crying Aurora with her. Noticing Tommy advancing towards them they run towards the mess hall. 

"Ziggy! The backroom in the kitchen! We can hide!" Aurora cries trying to calm her tears.

"I have a better idea! We kill him before he kills us!" Ziggy replies, walking over to the stereo so he can't hear their footsteps or breathing. 'Carry On My Wayward Son' plays by Kansas loudly throughout the building.  After grabbing a knife, they hide in the cupboard looking through the small gap to keep watch for Tommy. Meanwhile, Cindy and Melissa are trying to open the grate on the floor.   

"Let me, please." Aurora asks softly, looking at the knife, "I need to get back at him for hurting Nick and everyone else. Please". She pleads. Ziggy observes her before nodding and handing over the knife. Rory grips it tightly in her hand with a determined look, "let's finish this." They both go still as they hear Tommy start breaking down the door to the room and unlocking the door.

Slowly walking up behind Tommy, the music stops and he hears the floor creaking. Aurora gasped as Tommy turns around and raises the knife high before bringing it down into his chest with a cry. But it seems to do nothing as he smacks her relentlessly into the shelves. 

Hearing Aurora's scream, Cindy and Melissa work even harder to open the grate.

Tommy, having lost his axe and the knife resorts to chocking Aurora against the shelves as she scrambles to find something near to use as a weapon. Ziggy approaches with a discarded bag she had found on the floor. Pulling the bag over his head, Rory has a chance to escape his grasp while Ziggy pulls it tighter cutting off his airway. 

He knocks her off of him onto the floor next to Aurora. Both girls swiftly run away as Tommy regains his axe. Running through the kitchen, Tommy trips Ziggy who in turn trips Rory. Both girls sprawled on the floor turn to see him raising his axe. 

However, the final blow never comes as Cindy stabs him in the back, distracting him. He turns to face Cindy who looks at him broken-hearted before stabbing him again.

"Fuck... you!"

"You swore!"

"It's becoming a habit."

Melissa runs at her sister pulling her close as Cindy does the same with Ziggy. The Berman sisters apologise and rekindle their sisterly relationship. All of them relax slightly until they hear a noise from the vent. Cindy approaches with a knife as Mel throws her other arm around Ziggy. She let out a sigh of relief after seeing Alice pop out of the vent.

"Hey, snitch!"

"What took you so long?" She asks as Melissa comes forward to help get Alice out of the vent.

"You did it."

"We did it" She corrected as she tries to hug Alice.

"Okay, careful, okay? This thing's like a million years old."

"I bought that a month ago" Cindy pouts as Rory laughs slightly.

"No, I'm not talking about your stupid bag, genius. 'Blood will fall' Satan's stone, okay? It was right there. All this time, buried under the moss, and I found it. I fucking found it."

"Found what?" Melissa questions.

"Three guesses."

Alice puts the bag on a table and takes out the skeleton hand, placing it next to the bag. They all crowd around to look at it while Ziggy wonders out loud what it is. Alice inhales sharply.

"It's Sarah Fier's lost hand," Alice tells them.

"Nurse Lane... She spent her entire life looking for this. A way to stop the curse that took her daughter." 

"'Without her hand, her grip on the land holds firm. The curse will last until body and hand unite' This led us to the hand bone. And if the legend is true, that means her body's still buried-" Alice shows Ziggy the book before Aurora cut her off.

"By the hanging tree! Sarah Fier's Hanging Tree" They all came to the same realisation that Alice hand.

"We can end this. No more murders, no more curse, no more... pain" Cindy says looking at her now ex-boyfriend, Tommy. "We can save Shadyside... tonight!" Ziggy pulls the hand towards her, her nose begins to bleed as she touches the hand. Ziggy gasps alarming everyone at the table.

"My nose... I bled on the hand and... I think I just saw her. Sarah Fier. She was... she was angry"

"We have to bury this thing... right fucking now" Alice stresses.

"No, no" Aurora murmurs as the others look at her, "Nick! I need to find Nick, we left him and he was injured. I need to help him before I help you with the hand" She tells them, worry strewn across her feature.

"Nick Goode? Since when were you two...?" Melissa smirks, looking at her younger sister who flushes bright red.

"We can talk about that after, okay? I need to find him and we'll meet you at the Hanging Tree" Aurora says, all of them agree to that plan as she makes her rounds hugging each person as if it was the last time. As she gets to Melissa she hugs even tighter, "I love you. I don't care what happened in the past, you're my sister and I've seen you learn from your mistakes and that's what matters. Just don't die tonight, promise?"

"I promise. I love you too. You and Nick make a cute couple" Rory lets out a watery laugh before thanking her, "I'll see you later, Rory. I love you to death and after" She gives her one more squeeze before letting go. Aurora looks at all of them before running out the door.

"Nick?! Nick?!" Aurora whispers loudly walking into science and nature. She glances around noticing the blood on the floor that drags around a bench. "Nick? Is that you?" She calls walking around the bench slowly.

Rory notices Nick lying on the floor not moving, she falls to her knees next to him. She watches his chest, sighing in contentment that he was still breathing. She rips the bottom of her shirt to tie it around Nick's wound to try and clot the bleeding. Sitting next to him she pulls his head onto her lap and tries to wake him.

Nick slowly but surely regains consciousness and looks up to Aurora's teary eyes. He reaches a hand up to make sure that it's actually her before he realises where they are. 

"What are you doing here? I told you to run!" He sits up worried.

"I did! We killed Tommy, and we found the hand." She tells him.

"The hand?" 

"Sarah Fier's hand, we can end this!" Nick has a blank look on his face, "What? Why are you looking at me like that?"

"I'm going to tell you something, but you have to promise me you'll listen, understand and why you can't tell anyone." Aurora nods, holding his hand, "Sarah Fier doesn't possess people. My family gives a name and we make the next Shadyside killer in return for good fortune."

"Nick, that's not funny. Tell me you're joking." She looks at him but he looks down shamefully with a frown, "Why would you do that? People are dead, Nick! Children are dead!" She raises her voice,

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. But it was them or my family and my dad told me too and... and I thought I could save everyone. I thought I could cheat the curse, and get everyone on the buses but I couldn't and I'm sorry. But they don't die until whoever bled on the bone dies, I only just found that out" Nick explains.

"Nick, I really like you and we'll talk about this another day when we're safe, but Ziggy bled on the hand and my sister is with her!" Nicks face drops and they scramble to stand up as he winces in pain from his injury, "Promise me you'll help protect my sister. She's not your family but I hope your good fortune from this passes to us."

"I promise you, I'll try and save her. I know I don't deserve it but after this, give me a chance and I'll show you everything." She nods and he kisses her slowly before they run off towards where Ziggy, Alice, Cindy and Melissa were heading, hoping they weren't too late.
