Born as a young intelligent man but was kept behind closed doors. He wasted his days doing non-stop experiments for an unknown cause. Being born right under the Authorities rules, he wasn't set to have a free future. He was pushed into the laboratory once he was 10. Old enough to handle chemical substance, they said.

At first he didn't mind the monotonous work life. He was forced to handle poisons and pharmaceutical stuffs. The years spent with poisons made him memorize the specific smell of the substance. He's not directly under the commands of the higher-ups so their work is a bit different. However when the truth unveiled, he decided to run.

"What did you say?" The young man asked quite surprised with what he had heard. The woman who informed the case just sighed and decided to repeat what she told him.

"Sir Moon Taeil, you are ought to work with the other scientist with that project-"

"No I heard what you said, I'm not stupid." The woman frowned but kept quiet as Taeil continued. "You want me to work with the project that does inhuman experiments?"

"It's for the betterment of our world! You should be honored that you're placed under such a highly paid project, Sir Moon. Especially when you're.. working under these conditions" her voice drifted slightly as she glanced around the dark room he was in.

"You may still refuse the offer but I suggest you see how the things go for yourself first. I'll leave you with your thoughts" the woman bowed her head before she turned her heels to leave the room.

He took a look at the files that the woman had left behind and his eyes glowed a bright yellow. His head was throbbing as unusual and foreign scenarios appeared in his mind. It was him working for something before he was shot dead.

Taeil accidentally let go of the file and fell onto his seat as he gripped his head in pain. Another vision went through. It was a girl with a sword, looking down at him. And he saw himself making a deal with her.

He blinked his eyes and it was gone. Sweat rolled down from his forehead and he ran his fingers through his hair. He never experienced that before and somehow his gut tells him to believe what he saw. He quickly went towards the computer to search for something.

"Precognition. A user who sees the future. They are able to predict the outcome of the future and may or may not be able to change what has been written"

-

He was stumbling with his suitcases as his legs does all the running. For starters, he never ran away from home before and he never goes out so this is a first for him. He stopped for a moment to catch his breath. He's in a bad shape that's for sure.

Taeil looked up towards the clear night sky and sees the bright moon. His mind was filled with different thoughts before it was interrupted when something pushed his shoulder.

"Oh, sorry! Didn't see you there. I'm really sorry!" The taller man quickly bowed before he ran towards someone who was calling for him.

"Yuta! Hurry up stop making trouble" the female voice caught his attention and when he glanced at them his eyes widened slightly. The girl from his vision.

"You-" he stopped himself from continuing but they seem to notice. The girl wrapped her arms around her chest and stared right at Taeil who wasn't able to talk. He noticed a long thing on her waist. The Yuta guy who accompanied her saw it and took off his cap before placing it onto her head. Slightly covering her face.

"Do you know her?" Yuta asked with a raised brow. Taeil could've sworn they are at least one year younger than him but why does he feel intimidated. He calculated something in his mind and all the outcome would make him look weird.

"Sorry, I mistook her as a person I knew from my workplace" the girl tilted her head to get a better view of him before her arm was pulled by Yuta. "Eira, let's go home"

A few black expensive cars just went through and it caught Taeil's attention. Shivers went up to his spine when one of the car decided to stop right next to him. The window went downwards revealing a rather familiar woman.

"Moon Taeil?"

"Fuck"

"Follow him!"

Both Yuta and Eira watched as the odd young man ran away quickly as soon as the persom in the car talked to him. She pulled her hoodie up and signalled towards Yuta. "The Authorities"

Yuta's eyes glowed a purple hue as he motioned towards some of the sharp rocks at the side of the road before aiming it towards the glass windows. "Bloody hell!" They heard the people in the car screamed and dashed away from the place.

"A way to make a fucking scene" she muttered, rolling her eyes as they sprinted towards the path Taeil took earlier. "So why are we helping that strange guy again?"

"He's targetted by them so he must be important for something"

"Is this one of your gambles again?"

"Might be"

Taeil went deeper into the forest that he accidentally went into and tripped on some tree branches before rolling down the slope. He groaned in pain and his legs were throbbing. Taeil mentally cussed when he heard some footsteps going towards his way.

"Sir Moon! We're not going to hurt you why are you running away? The higher-ups were searching for you!" The voice echoed throughout the forest and it scared him. He never had this much of an adrenaline rush before.

He decided to remain quiet and not move but something from his pocket fell and it draws their attention. Flashlights were shone onto him and his eyes widened as he scrambled to his feet to run away.

A gunshot was released and it nearly misses him. "Fuck! They're tryna kill me!" The dark surrounding was not helping with his escape. At this point he just run as long as he doesn't trip onto something.

Another gunshot was fired and the bullet grazed his face. He felt some liquid from his left cheek causing him to stumble. His forehead felt cold when he suddenly felt something. A gun.

His eyes widened in horror when the guy cocked the gun as placed a finger on the trigger. He squeezed his eyes shut and prayed to God he never knew he believed in.

He heard a slashing sound and a hard thing fell onto the ground. When he opened his eyes the man was already on the ground, lifeless. There was a clean cut on his neck which was gory to look at. Then he saw the girl from before, holding the now bloodied sword. He saw her eyes glowing red before it went back to normal.

She aimed the pointy blade towards his neck causing him to move backwards slightly but his movement was cut short when he felt someone standing behind him.

"W-what do you guys want? You're not with them right?" He asked just to be sure.

"Oh don't ever compare me with these people" she muttered which was the first time he heard the voice. "Speak. Who are you and why are they hunting you down"

"So you're a what that works in a what?"

"Yuta" the girl looked at him and frowned as a warning. "I mean.. what kind of scientist works in the basement?"

"My father used to have an underground laboratory" the latter immediately shut his mouth and silently apologized. They turned their attention back towards the guy the now know as Moon Taeil.

"How old are you, you look young"

"Seventeen"

"He's older by a year"

"You guys are kids? How come you.. the sword- they died" Taeil who was in disbelief threw a glance towards her now sheathed sword. Yuta crossed his arms over his chest and sighed. "Why do we even still keep this guy?"

"Please don't kill me! I promise I can make good use of my skills to help you" her fingers twitched and she could hear his heartbeat getting faster. Fear. "I don't want to make people do things they don't want to"

"I want to survive! I don't want to go back there and have myself killed. I actually have a feeling that you needed someone like me" Yuta's eyebrows furrowed listening to the guy's irksome talk.

Eira grabbed a small bottle from her pocket and took a pill before she threw it towards him. "What's this?"

"Eira! Why-"

"If you can make the same pills, consider yourself a deal."

"Taeil what's wrong with you?" He heard a female voice appeared right behind him. He blinked a few times, rubbing his temples before facing her.

It's been two years since the incident and he somehow had gained her trust. At least that's what he believed. She had kept him safe and he was glad he had those visions before that he could meet her. Two years had passed and he never saw anything from his powers anymore. Was is just a coincidence? Maybe he was just that lucky to be honest.

His relationship with Eira was a bit complex. Where both only stayed because they're using each other for something. She needed him for her meds or when she asks for intel about someone and he wanted her protection because of the Authorities.

"Sorry, I was just remembering something. Do you need anything?" He asked and the woman seemed unfazed. It was a long silence between them. He noticed her expression looking quite different.

That's bad.

"Moon Taeil, you can stop now." Her words caught him off guard but he was quick to shake it off. "What do you mean, stop?" He knew very well what she meant and it's not a good sign. She's going to leave him.

"I had made sure that the Authorities didn't search for you anymore. Perhaps, they had forgotten about it but you're safe now. Keeping you here won't make any difference. You can leave." Eira gripped her sword and spun her heels around bidding goodbye.

Oh he didn't like that idea at all. He doesn't plan on leaving anytime soon. Someone out there will aim for him.

Taeil hastily grabbed her sword stopping her from walking away and his head throbbed. His visions were getting blurry and he saw an image of a man in an army uniform. Then he saw ten people inside a big dim-lit room, decorated with heavy mahogany furniture.

The future!

"Wait! I had a deal for you" he blurted that out as soon as his eye vision went back to normal. "You have a habit on making deals, I see" she muttered glancing slightly to the side.
Despite the throbbing head, he continued without wasting any time. "I had a vision.. an army from the Authorities will join you. And the Elites will have around ten members"

She pulled the sword harshly and turned around with a solemn look. "Stop spouting nonsense! Why would I let a dog what works with them join me? And how did you know about the Elites?" She took a step forward which caused him to move away, only for her to follow suit until he was stopped by a table.

"I accidentally heard you talking with Yuta the other day and.. you have to believe me! That man will be one of your best assets." He tried his best to convince her as he gripped the side of the table.

Eira narrowed her eyes. "You can see the future." She stated a matter of fact.

"I-"

"And you didn't tell me for two years?" She aimed her sheather sword on his neck causing him to gulp in fear.
"I didn't manage to find the right time to tell you and my power didn't appear again until now. I wasn't sure if it was working"

"So if your so called 'future visions' turned out to be not true, I'll do the honor planning for your funeral, yeah?" A manic smile was plastered on her face and it creeped him out. Shivers ran down his spine.

She dropped the smile and left him alone. When he finally calmed down he heaved out a relieved sigh. "That woman scares me." For a nineteen year old, she can be quite scary. Taeil saw a glimpse of someone else when she opened the door. Probably Yuta.

That man always sticks by her side. It's quite hard to meet up with Eira alone without him tailing from behind. Taeil knowing about her future plan was a lucky thing. It just so happen that he accidentally heard their conversation before. He knew very little about her past but he understands why she wanted to hunt the responsible people down.

He couldn't imagine being killed by someone they trust.
