"Umm hello? Is anyone there? Hello?!"

I was so happy that after a week he finally called. "Yeah hi! Sorry, I'm just a bit happy, hearing your voice!" I said, a little too excitedly.

"I'm so sorry I didn't call! I don't think I can apologize enough. Something was wrong with the telephone line and my WiFi. They thought we didn't pay the bill, so they shut it off. We did pay, there was some confusion. My family's out of town so no one was at home. And yes, I live with my family!" Thomas explained in a rush.

I laughed. He can be really adorable sometimes. "Its cute that you stay with your family. And that's okay, that you had some confusion about your bills," I said.

"I just feel bad that I didn't call you or text you. To make matters worst, after the confusion was cleared, a pipe in my bathroom burst so I had to get it repaired and... Yeah. Its just been a really busy week," Thomas said and sighed. He sounded tired, "So what have you been up to?"

What should I say? I'm not going to say that I was depressed because him. It would be weird. I don't know what I'm going to say.

"Umm, well I... I just felt lonely and bored. I didn't do much. Just here and there, bored to death. I'd try to call you or message you but I thought you'd be busy," I hesitated.

"What? I'm not busy at all! Well, at least now I'm not. I'm never busy for you. You can call me whenever you like. I actually missed your voice, I felt lonely too," Thomas told.

There was a silence between us. An awkward silence.

"Hey El, umm I was thinking... Would you like to hang out some time? Just as friends of course. Maybe go for a movie or have coffee. Its just an idea. Its okay if you don't want to go," Thomas suggested.

"I'd love to, Tommy. It'll be awesome fun. Maybe we could have lunch tomorrow, at around 2 PM?" I asked.

Thomas agreed and said that he'd pick me up. I became really excited! I'm finally going to meet him! It seems like he does care about me.

We talked for almost an hour, discussing nonsense and laughing half of the time. It felt nice to hear his voice. Eventually the call ended, which left me thinking about tomorrow.

The next day

Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God! I'll never be ready in time! Its already 1:30 PM!

I woke up just now. Why the hell did I sleep so late? And my stupid phone's alarm didn't ring! I'm just kidding, I love my phone but sometimes it can be irritating.

I took the quickest shower I have ever taken in my entire life. I was finished and out of the washroom in 5 minutes! Its pretty fast for me!

TING! (SMS ringtone)

From Sangster (Tommy)
Hey Els! Just messaged to remind you that I'll be there by 2 pm okay?
By the way, what's your flat number?
See you soon xx

Not the best time to get a text. I look like a mess, my hair looks like a birds nest and I haven't even changed!

To Sangster (Tommy)
Sure! See you soon! So excited!
Its 2nd floor, 206.
xx

Thank the Lord above that I was smart enough to pick an outfit yesterday. I selected clothes, shoes, jewellery and makeup. THANK GOD!

I changed into a white shirt and wore a beige blazer on top. I wore a beige and pink scarf and torn jeans at the bottom. For shoes I wore pencil heels.

My makeup's the usual: foundation, blush, mascara, eyeliner and lipstick.
Trying to keep it simple!

I looked good, like really good! I smiled as I looked at myself in mirror. I looked at the time and it was 1:50 PM. Ten minutes till he comes, if he's the kind of person who's punctual.

To kill time, I made a cup of coffee. I couldn't hide the fact that I was super excited. Its just lunch but, after a whole week of being depressed its better than nothing!

DING DONG!

Must be thomas, I thought as I rushed to the door.

I took a deep breath then opened the door. Thomas stood there looking dashing. He was wearing a grey high-neck sweater with black jeans and canvas shoes. On top, he was wearing his favourite leather jacket. His hair was scruffed up and he had the most cutest expression on his face.

I was fangirling internally. He looked so good! Is it possible for someone to look this good?!

I noticed that he was staring at me. Like creepy staring, as if he could see through me! I waved a hand in front of his face, "Hey Tommy!"

"Hey Ellie...You look really nice! Ready to go?" Thomas smiled and asked. I nodded, took my hand bag and walked out the door.

I locked it behind me and followed
Thomas to his car.

"Oh my God! WOW! That is so cool!" I said excitedly, as I gazed upon Thomas' car. It was a black, convertible Mercedes, and it was beautiful!

Thomas smirked and opened the passenger door for me. He's such a gentlemen!

We both sat in the car and drove off.

We arrived at the restaurant and it was posh and expensive, REALLY expensive. 'Le Grand Goรปt' was written in bold on top of the door. I wanted to eat here some time ago because people say its brilliant but its way out of my 'payment zone'.

I love going to restaurants but only if I have someone to go with and its affordable even if its some special occasion. Anyways, I'm more of a 'McDonalds' person!

"Here we are! I've heard that its good. Never tried it though. One of my cousin's 'super rich' boyfriend took her here. She said it was amazing," Thomas explained.

I was just about to say how pricy this place is but a waiter stopped me. "Madam, zir. You have a rezervation?" The waiter said in a French accent. "Yes, its under 'Sangster'," Thomas said.

"Very well, zhiz way," the waiter escorted us to our seats. Our table was somewhere towards the corner. There were quite a few people dining, all looking posh and important. Then there's me. Cool kid coming to a place I don't belong, with someone so nice I don't even deserve knowing.

The waiter pulled out my chair as Thomas took his jacket off. The waiter then pulled out a chair for Thomas and we both took our seats.

"So, this seems really cool. Till now it seems good. What do you think?" Thomas asked as he looked around. The restaurant really was something. The chandeliers were big and bright, the floor was spotless and there were we amazing carvings and designs on the walls. Everything was illuminated

"Well I think its overpriced for just a friendly dinner. Its too 'professional', if you understand... I'm sorry. I'm not used to eating at these kinds of places. I'd rather cook myself than be served something," I replied. Just then the waiter came back with two menus and a bottle of champagne. He began to pour a glass for me but I stopped him.

"I'm fine. I don't drink," I smiled. Thomas looked at me in disbelief, "You don't drink? Have you ever drank?"

I paused, "Well... I.... No, I have never drunk any type of alcohol in my life. And I don't even want to."

The waiter nodded and then poured a glass for Thomas, but he said he didn't want any either.

"Why don't you want to drink?" I asked after the waiter walked away. "I don't know... I won't drink alcohol for once. It would give my liver some peace!" Thomas said and I smiled.

We chatted for a while, talking about life before we ordered our meals. The restaurant serves French and Italian cuisines. Thomas and I went with Italian. I ordered some spaghetti and meatballs and Thomas ordered beef lasagna. We both choose ice tea for drinks. Lemon for Thomas and peach for me.

After about 10 minutes our food arrived and I immediately digged in. It was so good! I savoured every single bite. It was like heaven in my mouth.

Thomas seemed to be enjoying his meal too. We both were having a great time.

We eventually finished our meals, finished our drinks which by the way had free refills and finished talking about everything. There was nothing more to talk about, literally!

Thomas called for the cheque and took his wallet out. "What do you think you're doing?" I asked. "Hmm? Oh just paying. Why?" Thomas replied.

"Why are you paying? This is my treat!" I said.

"Nope. This is my treat. Anyways, I asked you if you wanted to spend time together!" Thomas said as he looked at the receipt.

I snatched it from him and he looked shocked, "But I said that we should go for lunch!"

Thomas grabbed my hands and took the receipt. "I'm paying and that's final! You can pay next time, If you want to so badly," Thomas smirked.

I huffed and crossed my arms. I'm such a bad friend. He took me to this expensive place and I just let him pay.

We got up from our seats and walked towards the main door. I was still upset. "Oh come on. Don't be like that! Don't make me feel guilty!"

I made a more angry face and Thomas rolled his eyes. I just laughed. He can be so adorable sometimes.

We sat in his AMAZING car. I asked if he could convert the car. He smiled and pressed the button. The roof of the car slowly lifted, revealing the evening sky. It was quite a sight. Finally the roof made its home in the car trunk.

"You ready?" Thomas asked. I nodded with a smile and we drove off, the wind beating at me.

My hair was a birds nest as Thomas stopped right outside my building. "Thanks for the ride Tommy! Thanks for everything actually! It was so much fun," I thanked. "I should say thanks to you for coming with me! We should do this again sometime," Thomas replied.

I don't know why but I kissed his cheek and walked out of the car. Thomas kind of froze and I giggled. I waved good bye and walked off as I heard Thomas drive off.

*******

I sighed as I changed into my home clothes. I wish today would last forever! It was so nice!

I flipped through my phone, looking at all the pictures I took today. There were some cute ones of me and Thomas. I posted one on Instagram.
I wrote: 'Best lunch at @LeGrandGoรปt with #ThomasSangster!! Had a blast!'

I smiled and couldn't wait for our next outing together!
