[Different]
Finding friends is a hard task, especially for teens.
With insecurities climbing up, self confidence going down and trust issues growing, hardly anyone could find a real friend.
(Y/n) is sadly one of those emo kids nowadays.
The typical depressed girl with an 'IDGAF' face and #lonely, that's her.
She's that one kid in class who stays silent for the whole school year, that kid you easily forget the name of.
Everything in her life pretty much goes down, the only friend she ever had was a stuff toy doogie called 'Fairy'(If anyone got this reference, you get a strawberry) which is now gone, probably got sick of (y/n).
As she walk to her classroom, she already heard chattering from her classmates, mostly the bitches in class, gossiping about boys or girls they don't like- (Y/n).
One of them spoke, " I heard from the teach, we're getting a transfer student!"
"Oh em geh! Really? M or F?"
"I hope it's M!"
"The teach said it was a 'he'"
And then came a loud shriek of excitement from all the girls inside, probably jumping around too.
Once (y/n) opened the door, she stepped in and everyone went quite but just for a short amount of time before ignoring her and continuing their chatters.
Yup. Nothing different today too.
Few days past and the rumors tunred out to be true about the transfer student.
Turns out, he got kicked out from his previous school for bullying, stealing, harassment and low grades, overall, his personality.
He's the definition of a bad boy, the type that every girl would die for.
First time he came through the classroom door, the atmosphere changed, everyone's expression changed, it was all of sudden so alien and different to (y/n).
He didn't introduced himself but just sat down imidiatly, the teacher didn't say anything either knowing he'll be out of this school soon so no one needs to remember a problematic person like him.
The class started, everyone's eyes on the board but their mind somewhere else, specifically the unknown transfer student.
As soon as the class ended and break time was up, all the students swarmed the new guy's desk except for some few, one of which is (y/n).
They get alot of transfer students so she doesn't get what's interesting about another one, he's pretty much like other transfer students.
Cool, gets attention, population up to the roof but what makes him different is that he's a stealing fuck boy.
"Tch. That newbie already annoys me." (y/n) silently cursed to herself, at least she though it was silent but unbeknownst to her, she accidentally said it a bit too loud.
When she was out of earshot, the girls and guys who were still interacting with the new kid sneered at the door (y/n) went out of.
"That girl is so unreasonable," said girl #1 and her small clique nodded in agreement.
A guy jumped into the conversation, "Yup. She's such a bitch and she's still hiding that fact even though we already knew."
His emerald green eyes showed interest towards their topic and asked, "Who's this girl you're talking about?"
"(Y/n) (L/n), the quite and depressed bitch. She's trying to hide that she's actually a total ass, like why bother? All of us here already knows what she really is like," the leader of the clique laughed after her sentence, might I say, a hideous laugh.
Once she finnaly stopped her dying goat cackle, it was her turn to ask and very seductively, "By the way, we never got your name~"
"What difference will my name make?"
⊹
It has already been a month since the new student attended a new school and Surprisingly, still not kicked out yet.
During those months, he got uncomfortably close to (y/n). He's not bullying the girl but rather in need of her attention.
"Can you PLEASE stop following me?"(y/n) pleaded, this has been the usual thing happening almost everyday.
"I'm not following, just going where you're going."
"Tch. That's basically the same as follwing," she grumbled on more complaints while trying to shake off the dog biting her leg.
She finnaly arrived at her usual peaceful spot, only it hasn't been peaceful ever since the still unnamed transfer student shared that spot with her.
When he arrived, everything really changed yet she doesn't know if it's for the better or worse. He made everything different. Less people gossiped about her since their attention was now on the new classmate, his presence always made (y/n) feel like she had a friend she always wanted but never got, and a new emotion inside of her bloomed, growing bigger and unavoidable whenever he's around.
She already knew it's that cliché thing called "Love" but denied it.
Though his actions are friendly and a bit sassy but fun, that still didn't stop alot of uneasy questions to flood her mind everyday; why would he want to associate himself with a loser? What's his motive? Will he Harras (y/n)? Maybe steal something from her? Or bully her?
Not once during the whole interaction with the purple head did (y/n) ask any of those questions, she's the type to sit still and see how things go and not meddle, but with the her paranoid thoughts, one or two questions are bound to be asked.
She started, "Why do you keep one pestering me?" Which he only grinned at and giving her a long suspense.
"....Not gonna answer, I see," disappointed, she lowered her head, for other it may look like she's in the verge of creating a river of tears but she's really just thinking of ways to get the answer out of him.
When the boy saw her action, guilt and confusion struck him, making him almost jump from his spot to comfort to girl but in the end, his attitude took over. "Are you seriously crying over a simple thing such as not answering you?"
"Do I look like am crying to you?" (Y/n) finnaly lifted her head and showed him her deadpanned expression instead of tears struck eyes and red nose like he expected.
He blushed from the misunderstanding, Turning his head around so the girl won't see.
(Y/n) didn't have a proper plan how to get him to answer. She looked at the back of his head as if the answer would just appear there.
Looking at his back a bit longer, the realization of not knowing his name yet hit her.
Hesitantly, she tapped his shoulder, he turned shortly after and gave her a questioning look.
"I didn't get your name yet," she said in a low voice, her shyness coming out of nowhere.
(Y/n) expected him to say it right away, after all, what's the point of keeping one's name? It's not like his an infamous criminal.
But to her surprise, he said,"Make one yourself up," in a low voice, confusing (y/n).
"Wha-...what? Don't you have a name?" He didn't answer, not even a hum or nod.
(Y/n) hesitated again and thought of any good nickname.
"How about...Honey?" She meant it in a joking or flirtatious way but didn't expect him to nod in agreement.
Her eyes widen and mouth agape, "What? Do you even know what Honey means?"
'Honey' turned around and for once, gave a sincere smile but his tone sounding flirtatious, "Honey is a nickname for a lover~ I would never want anything different."
