It's been some days. Chishiya and I didn't play another game yet. There were only two left, meaning we would need to go to Shibuya Crossing.

We both walked along a street towards Shibuya crossing. In the middle was a person, Arisu. He didn't see us yet. "Hey!", the blond man next to me spoke. Arisu turned his head to us. "So you've come here too." "Chishiya, Yuna." He smiled. He probably didn't see people the last days. "There are just two games left.", now i said. "All the players are gathering in Shibuya." We walked near to him. "We were prtty sure that you'be one of the survivors." Chishiya interwined his hand with mine, giving me butterflies. There was a long silence. "You know, you've both changed a lot." I looked down, but he was right, we both changed since the last time we saw him. "You think?", I asked him. "Yeah. You're mellower." Chishiya let out a small laugh. "Mellower? Yeah, well, I think we've been through a lot." He dragged me further into the direction of Arisu. "Are you both together now?", he suddenly asked. My cheeks got red. He must have noticed us holding hands. "Something like that." I grabbed Shuntaro's hand tighter. "Hey Arisu... would you mind if i share something with you about myself, that i've never told anyone before?" I furrowed my eyebrows at Chishiya, who walked near to Arisu. "Yeah." What did he wanted to say? "Well, I-" A shot came out of nowhere and hitted Chishiya's waist. "Yo!" I turned my head to the person. Niragi. He pointed with his gun at Arisu. Arisu took the shotgun of his back and pointed it now at Niragi I felt how the anger came up in me. "It makes me pretty damn happy to run into you here." How was he alive? He had burn marks all over his face. "Niragi.." "You intentionally didn't kill me with that shot. Did you mean to miss a vital organ?" I turned to Chishiya, who was laying now on the ground behind me. "I didn't want to end this with a suprise attack." He walked near to us. "Okay, let's begin. A game of shootout. Now that the four of us are back together, that seems most suitable, or?" I screamed at him: "A game between players?" "The four of us are very similar. We're oddballs who can't fit in with society. We're scum. Even so, our need to feel alive is greater than most people's." I sighed, knowing he was right. Suddeny he poked out blood. Ew. "I haven't got much time left. So let's do this. As kindred spirits, join me in one final game!" He threw two guns in front of my feet. I took a step back, looking confused at him. I kneeled down and picked both up, turning around and gave one to Chishiya, who was now standing already. His hand was full with blood. "Don't let his words irretate you, ok?", he whispered. I nodded and swallowed, turning around to face Niragi again. "I like it. Join us, Arisu." I knew he had a plan, which one, I didn't know. "Chishiya? Yuna?" "I'm sure you despise me as well. Use this opportunity to take revenge. Let's play a game among the three of us." I hoped that whatever his plan was, it would work. "Are you insane?" I smiled. "Yes, didn't you know?" Arisu's eyes widened. "Come on. You've got a gun too. Take aim!" "Do we really have to do this?" Niragi pointed suddenly at Arisu and shot at him. He ran away fast. I and Chishiya started shooting at Niragi, who climbed on a car. Another bullet came our way, but I shoved Chishiya behind a car where we sat down. My breathing was fast, the world was spinning around me. "Niragi, stop this!" Nothing would stop him, he was insane. "I'm simply doing what I want the way I want! You guys are the same way! It's always 'Me!' with you three. It's always about what you want. You aren't experts on life just because you saw a bunch of people die! 'Living for others'? That's such a bullshit! All we really care about is our own selves! As long as it's good for us, that's all we need!" Was he right? Were we really so selfish? I saw my parents die, I saw my bestfriend die, made me that selfish? A soft hand touched mine and I turned to look into beautiful brown eyes. "I said don't let his words irritate you." I nodded slightly, he was right. Maybe I was this person one time, but I changed, everybody can change if they really want to. "Yeah. You may be right. Killing each other here just might be appropriate for us!" What wanted Arisu to say? "At last, you get the picture." I loaded my gun and were ready to shoot Niragi. "Niragi! What you said makes the most sense! You could almost convince me!", I screamed at him. Almost, if there wasn't Chishiya. "But..", I continued, "I don't ever.. want to go back to being the weak, selfish person I was!" I held on tighter on the gun. Slowly I stood up with my back faced to him. "I won't do this." I lowered the gun and turned to Niragi. "I won't pull this trigger just to help myself." He was still pointing his gun at me. In the corner of my eye I saw how Arisu stood up too. Chishiya seemed to realize something, but then sat up too. "That sure put a damper on things." Niragi lowered his gun. "Arisu." It was Usagi. I knew she wouldn't die, well, I hoped. Chishiya's eyes widened. "What are you doing?" "Oh, yeah, there was you too." He wouldn't dare to shoot her, or? Niragi directed his gun now at Usagi and shot at her. She fell down on the ground. "Usagi! Stop this! Usagi has no part in this!" Arisu held his gun up and Niragi pointed it again at him. "Every game needs a heroine to make it exciting!" I looked at Chishiya, who was staring into the empty. Don't you dare Shuntaro. "This is insane!" "If you're dead, then the four of us can be kindred spirits again. I can't stand to be alone anymore." My eyes widened, it all happened to fast. Niragi shot at Usagi, Arisu shot at Niragi and he fell of the car, probably dead now. I turned to Usagi, or better, Chishiya. My body got numb and my vision got blurry, the voices around me faded out and I couldn't move. The gun fell out of my hand and landed on the grass. Chishiya took the bullet for Usagi, in his chest was now a red stain. He fell onto the ground. "Chishiya!" "Chishiya!" Arisu and Usagi ran to him. She kneeled down next to him and placed her hand on his wound. "Chishiya! Why would you do that?" My legs somehow carried me to him and I fell down on the ground, my eyes wandering over his body. "Why did you protect me?" My eyes landed on his hand, that was searching for something. I placed mine and interwined it with his. "I wanted to do something uncharacteristic. It's probably because of the people I met here like Yuna... or Kuzuryu.. or Arisu." Tears built up in my eyes. "Hey, what were you going to tell me earlier?" "Oh, yeah.." He closed his eyes already, but I could tell he wasn't dead yet. "To me, people who live life so seriously seem like fools. Those people who strive so hard... I just want to curse them. All their goodwill was repugnant to me." I understood what he wanted to say. "But I must have been jealous. They had what I didn't." He looked at Arisu. More tears escaped my eyes. "It seemed like they were criticizing me for being such a vain and vulgar person. I was afraid of them." I nodded slowly. "I knkw what you mean." My head turned up to Arisu. "I figured you would say that, Arisu." I knew, he figured too I would feel the same. I laid my head on his chest, letting the tears flood. "Shotguns" My head turned up again. Is this guy immortal or what? "sure don't do a good job of killing." Arisu stood up and ran to Niragi, who still laid on the ground. "Even by mistake, don't you dare ever call me evil. If there were seven billion of me, then you'd be the ones who are evil. It's good for you... that you're on the side of the masses." I closed my eyes, only wanting to hear Chishiya's heartbeat, knowing he was still alive. A big shadow flew over us. I turned my head up and the others did the same. My heart started pounding. The king of Spades. "He's coming!" Arisu ran back to Usagi. From far away could gun shots be heard. "Run!" Some people ran our way. "Let's move them behind a car." "Right." Arisu ran to Niragi, while Usagi helped me to move Chishiya. More and more people came running our way. "I'll come back. Please forgive me." I smiled at him. Usagi already ran away to Arisu. "Don't worry Peach. You know I love you, or?" My heart skipped a beat. I started nodding, while tears escaped my eyes. "I love you too." I gave him one last forehead kiss before running after Usagi and Arisu, leaving my soul mate behind.
