Her E/C eyes opened hesitantly. Yet another day, she was granted to live. And she was grateful. Y/N stood up and stretched. There was no sign of Maestro since last night.
She was able to calm down since, but she was still mad at him. He had no right to threaten Rod, nor claim himself to be her boyfriend before they were even together.
Despite this, she couldn't avoid him forever. They were both in this house.
The woman made her way to the kitchen. She took one step inside the room. "Goodmorning, dear!" She flinched as Maestro stood in front of her, wearing an apron and mixing a bowl of who-knows-what. She wasn't ready to talk or see him yet. This could've waited a little bit longer.
The woman sat down at the table. She wouldn't refuse food. She stayed quiet as he hummed and cooked. He was in a good mood today. The atmosphere felt so domestic. Way too much for her liking right now.
There was a small clink as he set a plate down in front of her. The clink was short and barely noticeable, but to her, it sounded loud and caused her to feel slightly more tense.
She glanced down. French toast, bacon, and eggs. French toast was her favorite. Her eyes moved to the side as his large, pale hand gently slid a glass of orange juice next to her plate.
He sat at the table with her, reading a book with glasses on. Spectacles, the ghost called them. She'd never seen him wear glasses. He never stopped smiling this whole time. He was too happy, and it pissed her off.
"Are you just going to pretend none of that happened?" She spoke up.
He looked at her, and his smile didn't wear. It stayed perfectly put. "Of course not." Maestro placed the book down as well as the glasses.
"Last night, I apologize for how I acted. You were right. I don't want to hurt anyone, especially you. I do not want to upset you, either. I hope you can forgive me and we can move past this."
"I guess I can forgive you. I want you to apologize to my friend, too. He didn't deserve that. He's a good guy." The first part was somewhat of a lie. She would forgive him, but it would take some time. Right now, it wasn't really possible.
He bowed his head slightly. "Of course. I will apologize to him if he returns. I've noticed it's become harder for me to travel outside of the mansion, so I cannot leave to do so right now."
She nodded. "Ok. Don't do this again, Michael."
"I promise you, I won't."
Something felt wrong, but wasn't something always off? In her life? The woman just shrugged. She'd be fine. As long as her parents weren't around.
She'd miss Vir. She already does, but there's nothing she can do.
She's stuck with him. And maybe instead of moping about it, she can make the best out of what feels like a bad situation.
He kissed her cheek. In return, she gave him a small smile. That's all he wanted to see.
