It was my first morning at Hogwarts and last night I had the best sleep ever and I'm so excited for what my first day brings. I had been rudely awoken by Hermione this morning, I can't say I minded though it meant I got to spend more time with my friends in the morning. I'm beginning to think that I might actually have found some good friends for once in my life and not people who use me for my families money.

"Mione what's our first lesson?" I asked intriguingly, "Care for magical creatures with Hagrid, and I love the nick name n/n" (nick name- that's another I forgot in the a/n)
I smiled hoping that these friends would stick with me throughout the whole of my Hogwarts experience because I can't think of any other people I would rather spend it with.

So turns out I had been in my own little world for about 5 minutes and the next thing I knew Harry was waving his hand across my face getting me to zone in again. "Okay yeah jeez I get it, I just zoned out for a bit' I chuckled and so did everyone else. "Come on then this is our first lesson with Hagrid we need to get there early!" Mione moaned wanting us to hurry up. "Hermione we've got 20 minutes before we need to be down there!"Ron protested making Mione roll her eyes.

(Harry's POV)

Me, Ron, Hermione and y/n we're walking down to our first lesson. Care for Magical creatures with non other then Hagrid. I was a bit weary of opening my text book as it did try too attack me whilst I was staying at the leaky couldren.

Of course Malfoy had to make an impression on the new girl, he's such a pain in the ass I just know he's gonna make some snarky comment to her.

"Oi l/n" Malfoy called jumping down from a tree. Luckily me, Ron and Hermione warned her about Malfoy so she was prepared with a comeback. "Oh is this the little ferret who has a little Harry Potter fan boy club?" She said sarcastically. This is going to be fun. "Who do you think your talking to l/n?" Malfoy said cockily. He's starting too annoy me now.

"You and your little Harry Potter fan boys." She said. Yes y/n. "We are not Harry potter fan boys as a matter of fact we hate him" he retorted. "Ah well sure because I've been here like less then a day and I'll I've heard you talk about is Harry, ooo Harry is it true you fainted, I mean you actually fainted" she said mocking him. He definitely shut up after then.

"Alrighty then, ello everybody welcom' to yer first Care for Magical creatures lesson, open up yer text books and we'll start soon" Hagrid said. "Um Hagrid how exactly do we open them?" Ron asked. "Yer juts stroke the spine of course." After we did that I heard Hermione say. "I think there funny" talking about the books by the way.

"Oh yeah terribly funny, really witty. God this place has gone to the dogs. Wait until my father heard that Dumbledore's got this oaf teaching classes" Malfoy said, extremely rudely. "Shut up Malfoy" I said walking up to them. "Ooo hoo" him and his little minions said. "Oh sure go tell daddy is that the best you can do ferret boy." Y/n said. Badass. "No one asked you you filthy little half-blood." Malfoy cried. I was about to punch him I swear until his face dropped. "Dementor!Dementor!" He shouted.

Me and my friends heads bolted around to see nothing. What I didn't realise is that I had grabbed onto y/n's arm in the process and stood in-front of her. I wasn't sure why I did it, it was just an instinct.

"Oooh are you protecting your girlfriend potter?" Malfoy and his posse chuckled. "Just shut up Malfoy" y/n retorted and then got interrupted by Hagrid.

"All right tha's enough now, I've got a righ' treat for you lot today. Ta da" I was confused at what Hagrid was showing us and turns out I wasn't the only one. "Uh Hagrid what is that?"
"This Ron is a Hippogriff, very proud creatures they are, you don't wanna insult one it might just be the last thing yer do" Thanks Hagrid.

"Alright' who wants to say ello to Buckbeak?" I was too busy staring at the creature, not noticing that everyone took a step back except from me and y/n.

"Ahh 'Arry, y/n! Well done. Well the firs' thing yer need to do it bow and wait for Buckbeak 'ere to bow back at yer" me and y/n bowed at Buckbeak waiting for a response when he suddenly jumped up at us. "Slowly walk back you two, walk back" Hagrid sounded a bit worried but we did as we were told and y/n grabbed onto my hand. I felt myself slightly blush. No I'm just warm. Yeah that's is it's a hot day today that's why.

Buckbeak settled down and we were allowed to go stroke him. "I think he'll let you ride him now" Wait what. "Um no it's okay Hagrid." I said trying to escape. "Nonsense, come one y/n" Hagrid said picking her up and putting her on the front of Buckbeak. Her smile could light up the room. Shut up Harry stop thinking like this, you haven't even known her that long.

Then Hagrid picked me up too and I had no choice but to grab onto y/n's waist. Out of the corner on my eye I saw Ron wink at me. Oh god I'm not gonna hear the end of this. My thoughts were interrupted when Hagrid said "Don't pull his feathers out, he won't Thank you for that!" And after that we were off into the sky. "Woohoooo" I screamed. "This is amazing!" Y/n shouted back at me. I slowly Lifted my arms up and was doing the titanic pose whilst flying on Buckbeak. "LET GO" I screamed at y/n and she did. "WOOOOOO" We both screamed at the same time.

We then started to go lower and I had to grab onto her waist again. Wait did I just see her blush? No. No i didn't surely not. I was once again interrupted by Buckbeak placing its talons into the water slightly before flying back to Hagrid again.

"That was amazing Hagrid!" Y/n exclaimed. "How am I doin' on me firs' day?" Hagrid asked us. "Brilliant, Professor" I said making him smile.

"Your not dangerous are you, you great ugly brute." Malfoy stupidly said, running towards Buckbeak. "Back off Malfoy." Hagrid sounded worried. Next thing I knew Buckbeak jumped up at Malfoy. Get in Buckbeak.

"It's killed meh, it's killed meh" he way over exaggerated. " oh shut up it's just a scratch." Y/n retorted from beside me.

"Hagrid you need to take him too Madam Pomfrey!" Hermione exclaimed. "Alrigh' I'm the teacher I'll do it" After that Hagrid took him too the hospital wing and class was over.

(Your pov)

That lesson was so much fun. I had this moment with Harry when he put his hands around my waist and I felt butterflies in my stomach. It was just nerves from flying yeah that's all. Definitely. Any way it is now dinner time and we're all sat in the great hall on the Gryffindor table eating. When all I hear is Malfoy moaning to his minions.

"He's really laying it on thick isn't he" Ron said and I couldn't agree more. I had only spoke too him twice and I already hate him.
