Y/N Element: Water
Y/N Gender: Female
Y/N POV:
I was on the Element City bus, listening to (favorite music) when I got a text from my friend, Misty.
Misty: Hey girl! How's your summer been?
Y/N: Pretty good. Not too busy, which is nice.
Misty: That's so cool! BTW, my family is hosting a pool party later today, and you should totally come and visit.
Y/N: Girl, you know that I don't like talking to people :(
Misty: Oh, c'mon, it's gonna be fun! Just watch. Something crazy is going to happen.
Y/N: Fine, but if nothing happens, you owe me one.
Misty: Great! Come over to my house at 1 pm so we can get ready together.
I put my phone back in my pocket as the bus hit my stop. I got off and walked back to my apartment to get my bathing suit. After I packed a small bag with my things, I began to walk towards Misty's house.
As I approached the front door, Misty opened it and smiled widely. "I honestly didn't think you were gonna show up, but I'm glad you're here! We need to get your hair and make-up done pronto."
She grabbed my wrist and began taking me upstairs, but I held back. "Woah, this isn't a fashion show. It's just a pool party."
She turned back to look at me. "Yeah, a pool party where you could meet a cute guy! You need to be ready!"
"I'm telling you, nothing is going to happen."
She rolled her eyes. "Look, if you don't end up meeting and befriending another person at this party, you get to pick my outfit and do my hair for the Sailor Drift concert."
"It's a deal."
She smirked, and we continued upstairs to her bedroom to then get ready.
I wore a (favorite color) bathing suit and (whatever you want to do with your hair). Misty insisted on doing make-up, so I told her to go neutral tones.
She then got ready, too, and we began to walk outside.
"Wait, I thought the party was at your pool?"
"Oh, no! I totally forgot to tell you. My cousins, the Ripples, have a pool that's much larger than ours, bigger household, you know."
I nodded, and we kept walking. After a few minutes, we stopped in front of a huge mansion.
"Woah. This place belongs to your cousins?"
"Yup!" We then approached the guard at the door.
"Ah, Miss Misty, and a guest! I'm assuming you're both here for the pool party? Welcome in!"
He walked aside from the doors, and we both smiled at him. Once we entered, I looked around in astonishment.
"We just need to get to the back of the building, and there's the exit to the pool."
As we walked through the mansion, I looked at all of the things around. There were many paintings and glass sculptures.
After a few minutes, we arrived at two sliding doors that led outside. They were see-through doors, and I could see that there were already a lot of people here.
"Are all of these people your family?"
"Nope! We love inviting guests over, and if you're over once, you're always over again."
She giggled and opened the sliding doors. A few people looked over, and then began to cheer and smile. We were approached by a woman who looked very happy to see us.
"Hello Aunt Ripple! I'd like you to meet my friend Y/N."
She looked at me and held out her hand. "It's nice to meet you Y/N! You seem like a very nice girl."
I shook her hand and smiled slightly. "It's nice to meet you too."
She walked away from us to go talk to the adults, and then Misty turned to me. "I'm gonna go look around to see who else is here. You should look around too."
"Fine, I'll just go to the food table."
She nodded and walked away towards another group of people. I then looked to the food table and began to walk over. There were a few little munchies, like sandwiches, and chips, and there was a bowl of fruit punch. I grabbed a small plate of food and stood next to the table.
As I stood and looked around, I saw a water guy start to approach the table. He began to put stuff on his plate, but then he noticed I was there. "Oh, hi! I haven't seen you before, are you new around here?"
"Well, I live in Element City, but not close to here. My friend, Misty, kinda forced me to come here. She says I need to socialize more."
He chuckled. "Well, you're welcome to be here! My cousin Misty can be like that sometimes, but she generally means well. I'm Wade by the way."
I smiled. "I'm Y/N."
He smiled back at me and looked me in the eyes. It was quiet for a bit, but then his eyes widened and he looked away from me and towards the bowl of punch.
"Oh, you have to try this punch, it's my family's own recipe." He got a cup and poured some in, and then held out the cup to me.
I was about to grab it, but I didn't see two little kids running up behind him, at full sprint, and then push him. He fell over, letting go of the cup and poured all of the punch over me. The punch changed my color from blue of the water to the red of the punch.
I gasped and everyone looked at us, including Misty. She came running over. "Oh my goodness, what happened?"
"He just poured punch all over me!"
He looked up and stuttered but couldn't get any words out.
"How rude of you, Wade. Y/N lets go to the bathroom to get you cleaned up." Misty shook her head at him and ushered me away from the scene.
We got to the bathroom, and she handed me a towel. "I'm so glad I thought to bring extra clothing. Wait in here and I'll get you a t-shirt and shorts."
She closed the door, and I washed out the red color, slowly returning to my natural blue. I can't believe that just happened, things were going decently well, too. She quickly came back in and handed me the clothes. "I'll be outside waiting and then we can leave."
I got changed and then left with her. "Y/N, I am so sorry about what happened. I had no idea he would do something like that."
"It's ok, I should've known that conversation was going a little too well."
We walked a bit longer and got back to my apartment. Once we got there, I turned to her. "Thanks for inviting me though."
She smiled. "Anytime Y/N. We definitely need to have another girl's day soon, because this one was not it."
"I agree." I went up to my apartment and carried on with my day.

It was now the day after the pool party, and I wanted to explore for a bit. I hopped onto the bus and put my headphones on. It was a peaceful ride for the most part until we hit a large bump. The force of the bump caused my headphones to fall off.
I reached down to pick them up, but another hand reached too. I looked up to see who it was, and it was the guy from the party. He looked up at me, shocked, and began to try to speak.
The bus driver announced that we were at my stop, so I angerly picked up my headphones and trudged off the bus. As I began walking away, I heard someone call out from behind me. "Wait! Y/N!"
I turn around to see Wade chasing me. I knew running away would take too much energy, so I stood and waited for what he had to say.
He approached me, out of breath. "Look, Y/N, I am so sorry about what happened yesterday. My nephews came behind me and pushed me which cause me to throw the punch at you. I did not mean it whatsoever. Will you accept my apology?"
He began tearing up and gave me puppy eyes. I smiled slightly and nodded. "Only because we were having a decent conversation, I accept."
He smiled widely and hugged me. I was in such a state of shock, that I didn't move. It took him a few moments to realize what he was doing, but then he pulled back, face getting pink. Admittedly, my face was a little pink too.
"T-to make it up to you, w-would you want to join me for the Windbreaker's game tonight? Just the t-two of us?"
He nervously looked at me awaiting my response. I laughed. "I love the Windbreakers! Toot toot!" I pumped my fist in the air slightly and he gave me a huge smile.
"Great! Meet me at the stadium at 5 pm!"
"Consider it a date."
I kissed him on the cheek quickly, and then waved at him, walking away. He put his hand on his cheek and slowly waved back at me.
I couldn't wait for tonight.
