Biography:
- as a young child tessana learned quickly that a woman's place was to stay silent and obedient and she quickly decided that was bullshìt. as a child she would do whatever the other children would be it climbing, fighting or sailing. and there she found her passion. for the next few years tessana would do whatever she could to learn about sailing and ships. this cumulated in an adventure when she was ten as she stole a smaller ship and using all her knowledge and experience she disappeared for five days. once she got home she was subject to a berating and beating but that would never deter her from her dream. tess would go in disguise and mingle with the common folk as well as serve on ships. soon she was officially allowed to learn to be a captain and from then on she served mostly under highborn captains. as she turned eighteen she achieved her goal and was able to command a ship of her own. the winters wind is a longship that tessan fixed up on her own time, and many of the crew were those that have known her since she was a child. tess hates the iron islanders and their constant attacks on them but this also gave her more time to herself as most everyone cared about that over her as she was the third child.
