LINE WITHOUT A HOOK โ RICK MONTGOMERY
"I am a wreck when I'm without you."
Boisterous voices that belonged to the skaters of S were chattering amongst in either pairs or groups, stirring in excitement at the events that might unfold at this faithful day. But they were not present for the results of the beef, only present for a certain pro skater that was held in high esteem for their unremarkable talent at the sport.
they held no acknowledgement towards their competitor, deeming them as weak and not to be discussed of, as if the outcome had already been predictedโand I must say, the outcome that was expected was certainly not in Reki's favor.
"Let's call it off." Miya's vigorous uncertainty and unease brought the group to a halt, stopping in their tracks to glance at the boy who was brimming with anxiety for the disadvantageous fate brought upon Reki.
(don't mind the majestic writing I'm testing sumn)
"Empty isn't really a lie anyways!" His distress was masked by a facade of a boast, attempting to drag Reki away from the beef that would most likely bring him to a state of agony. he was troubled, it was prominent and his behavior was proof of that.
Dropping his pride and reaching to the intent of calling off the beef was vexatious; [name] couldn't deny it.
"Miya, you aren't empty. those who would call someone like you empty, don't know what it is." [name]'s hand wrapped onto his wrist, as he noticed their deep assertive sentiment seen through their astute gaze.
"How would you know?" His hands formed into a fist, nails digging at the palm of his hand due to the force added onto it.
"Because its something I experience everyday."
Miya couldn't contain himself from glancing at [name] every opportunity he got; it was like a tedious cycle he couldn't terminate. [name] was completely aware of the subtle movements of his eyes just to glimpse at them, finding his unease to what they stated earlier adorable.
Miya infact, realized not too long after the conversation that he knew not much about [name]. all he knew about them were small details. such as [name] being an absolute glutton, and that they appreciated anything that seemed cute. (like miya)
He was also aware that they had a soft spot for the boy, they didn't have an intent to conceal it as well. such little things like sharing food and physical contact proved the statement.
[name] was an enigma. a mysterious cloaked figure who would place a wall between the victim they chose to befriend for their own entertainmentโafraid that the other might gain courage to pull down the hood that concealed their true identity.
"It's about to start," He felt a tug from his sleeve, recoiling back only to realize that it was only his friend. "Are you nervous? it's alright. Reki isn't a newbie, he's been skating for who knows long."
[name] knew the reason to his constant drifting into his thoughts, faking ignorance as they were afraid of confrontation. bringing up the subject of earlier would bring [name] to an unfortunate situation.
"Can you lovebirds not infront of me?"
"Go away old man." Miya's retort was a tug to Shadow's sanity, nearly bursting into a rage of curses, but was thankfully interrupted by the loud sound emitted to gesture the beef had begun.
I'm sorry if its short, i dont really plan on writing the skating scene since its a bit difficult. i'll prolly update it when the new episode comes out, so that i'll be sure what happens after reki goes unconcious.
