FandomPrincessEve Since we both play Sylestia, I thought I'd post this information I found concerning hidden traits.

1. Hidden traits are only with visible traits. Carried traits don't have hidden traits since a hidden trait is basically a carried trait under a hidden trait.

2. You can only know if your pet has a hidden trait if it's been genetically tested. If it has a hidden trait, then the visible trait that has the hidden trait will of course be purple.

3. How do you know which hidden trait it has? Well after it's been genetically tested, rather than two letters that match, you'll see two different letters to represent the traits it has;

After you see this, you can find what the second trait is through the Generator;

The Visible trait is Demonic Essence, which is represented by the (C) on the profile.

The Hidden trait is Crystalline Essence, which is represented by the (E) on the pet profile page.

Usually the pet looks like this;

But if you viewed him with his hidden trait, he'd look like this;

4. You can get hidden traits from breeding;

This is a pet that I bred between a themed, and a non themed. He came out a two visible with both visible traits, having hidden traits. If his hidden traits were present, you'd see him like this;

*Yes, he has a hidden restricted trait*

So if you breed two pets who have visible traits and carried traits in the same slots, the offspring could possibly get hidden traits based off the traits the parents have. It's not a guarantee, but it is possible.

5. Disrupting a themed pet that has a hidden trait, can cause you to lose the trait. Sometimes you keep a hidden, other times you don't. Just depends.

6. Themes are /not/ the only pets that can be caught and have hidden traits.

I have caught multiple non-themed pets with hidden traits;

So if you catch a pretty, but non themed pet with a visible trait or two, and think having it tested would be a waste of time, remember that non themed pets can have hidden traits to, and testing them will give you the opportunity to actually know it has a hidden, and to see what it is.
