เชโโด While this chapter is short and I don't have anything creative planned for the next chapter, enjoy the complex relationship of [Name] and Misa and a little sneak peek into [Name]'s past!

"Damn..."
Was that all you could muster up to say at this moment? Probably. Your team kinda just...Destroyed team X.
'6 - 2...How did that happen again?' that line pretty much sums up the match. After the goal Ejiri scored, it seemed like the rest of the team went on a rampage and suddenly got the urge to score their own goals.
You were able to steal one too of course, after you realized Chiaki's weakness, it was pretty much safe sailing from there. You just had to steer clear of her and the ball would be yours.
'Ai scored a goal, Fujioka scored two goals, I scored one goal, Misa scored one goal and Ejiri also scored one goal.' You acknowledged Fujioka's massive contribution to the team, 'The more I learn about her, the more I'm starting to respect her.'
You wiped the sweat off yourself, looking in the mirror you made a face seeing your whole appearance was a mess.
'If I remember correctly...Our next match is with team Y right?' You stripped down from the tight uniform and stepped into the showers, "Nothing beats the feeling of a nice hot shower after an intense game."
You let a groan, suddenly remembering the pain Chiaki had caused to your shoulders, 'Whatever that happened...I'm glad it's over now.'
But a thought hit you, didn't you just ruin a girl's chance of playing soccer forever? This type of question would keep certain individuals awake at night, including you, 'I sort of want to go and apologize to her now. '
You wiped the water from your skin, 'I'll say it if we meet again.' rubbing the moisturizer on your face and blow-dried your hair, 'A robe will do fine for now...' You lazily threw it on and walked out.
Strangely, you didn't enter the room and walked to the cafeteria, 'Maybe my stomach is leading me here.' You confirmed that when it growled, catching you off guard.
"Oh, Misa?" You voiced out, "[Name], you're finally here." The ravenette asked, "Hey, I was hungry..." You shrugged and took your food, "What about you?"
"Same reason. The rest already had their fill but I was waiting for you...When you didn't come to the room I just came here knowing you." She started to eat her food but all you did was blank stare at yours.
"Suddenly...I don't feel hungry now." You plopped your head onto the table, "You have to eat y'know? Starving yourself is a model thing." You chuckled lightly at the joke.
"Don't tell me you starved yourself?" You questioned but went silent seeing an empty look in her eyes, "Uhm...Sorry, I didn't know." You excused yourself and sat up.
"It's not like you didn't when your mom was admitted to the hospital for a small reason." Misa teased, "C'mon, you still remember that?" the two of you sneekered.
I know nothing about her
That guilt washed over you. How come you don't remember your own best friend starving herself? You didn't even look into Misa's eyes as the two of you chatted, finding it unbearable to see that same look.
I feel like an asshole
You scratched the back of your neck as if a small time-ticking bomb was set off in your heart and that any next emotional trigger would make you burst into a thousand pieces.
She hates me for not remembering something that important
Your voice sank back into your throat, as a gateway opened for you, ready to swallow you open for your action but you tried to claw your way back into a happy memory.
What have I done.
That wasteful moment came to an end, "[Name]? I'm gonna go now...I'm getting pretty sleepy." Misa got up and left. Her silhouette and words were the only thing left behind for you to throw your regret on.
What do I do?
Fuck.
Here it was, that same feeling you felt every time you broke out of your perfect cycle, you wanted to get up and run away from there but the darkness swallowed you as if it was ripping you apart into a thousand pieces.
And again, you were back there, standing in front of the old rundown house you had almost forgotten about.
You heard a small kid giggle and immediately turned to it. Of course...It was a child version of you. Your soul drifted apart as recognized the atmosphere with a heavy heart.
'I want to go back...' But you couldn't. You were stuck in the same place. Your feet were shackled on the ground as you couldn't do anything but watch the little you and the small figment of hope that remained with her.
It was tormenting, watching and remembering everything horrible as everything started flowing in front of your eyes. There it was again, the same scene replaying in front of you, tormenting you.
You closed your eyes, scared for a moment but opened them again yet it was hopeless, you were forced to watch the events that took place as you held your screams in.
You closed your eyes again but this time daring not to open them. you could feel yourself spiraling into madness, 'Am I lucid dreaming?' This damn dream that kept haunting you for the past several years kept attacking your vulnerable spots.
You didn't want to remember this empty feeling. Always being the prey in this bullshit game. Suddenly everything was silent, you were back to the empty void but this time you were falling as the never-ending labyrinths of abyss sucked you in.
It's all your fault.
"[Name]!" Your eyes flew open, "Oh my god, are you okay?!" Ai shook your shoulders, bringing you into a tender hug, "You were just standing in the hallway like you had seen a ghost." You sighed and broke the hug.
"It's nothing...Don't worry about it too much." You walked past the strawberry blonde-haired female, rendering her speechless, 'I can't let this get to me here out of all places.'
You returned to the room without sharing another word with Ai and covered yourself with the blanket, tugging the soft part to your sides.
The morning came rather early to your dismay, "Let's give it our all in practice today guys for the upcoming match with team Y!" The others agreed and got ready, you rubbed your eyes groggily.
'I want to sleep more.' You could feel Ai's gaze on your back but ignored it, "Good morning [Name]!" Misa greeted you with a cherry look, "Good morning." You bowed, not matching the energy of the raven-haired female.
Misa stared at your face for a moment, specifically your eyes but turned around without saying a word, 'Is there something on my face?'
You were a little perplexed by her behavior but shrugged, 'I should go to the washroom before it gets crowded...' You shivered thinking how heated it gets when everyone's trying to get ready at the same time.
"Hey, Misa." Ai called out to the girl, "Can we talk outside for a minute?" Misa blinked at the strawberry-haired female but nodded along, "Sure."
You looked at the two girls exiting the room together from the corner of your eyes, 'What are they up to?' You raised a brow but dragged yourself to the shower room with a sore body.
"So...What did you want to talk about?" Misa cocked her head to the side, Ai sighed and averted her gaze away from the ravenette, "You and [Name] have been childhood friends right?"
"Yeah? Why do you ask?" Ai sucked in a little breath, "I don't know what's happening exactly...But I think some things have been bothering [Name]." Ai admitted that Misa was taken a little back by her opinion.
"Why, what happened?" Now the female was serious, she inched closer towards Ai, "Yesterday...When I was walking back to the room I saw [Name] standing in the hallway so I approached her."
"But then I realized something was wrong, I called her name out but she didn't respond so I tapped her shoulder and took a look at her face." It was as if Ai's voice got stuck in her throat for a second.
"She was standing still with a painful expression on her face." Misa's eyes widened, "What?!" She rubbed her forehead.
"I know what's happening to her...But Ai I can't tell you." Misa huffed out, "Oh, is it something related to her past?" Misa nodded.
"I understand then, I won't meddle any further but I'm telling you since I can see you care for her a lot and that you should keep an eye on her here and there so something like this doesn't happen further. " Ai voiced her concern, looking directly into Misa's eyes.
"Mhm, I will try my best." She smiled brightly but deep inside the the raven-haired female was troubled to her core, 'Why didn't she tell me that it coming back again?'
Doesn't she trust me?
Misa bowed to Ai, showing gratitude for telling her about what was happening. Ai did the same and left the hallway.
Am I a bad friend?
Misa covered her eyes, leaning against the rough white walls. The hallway provided her with silence as she thought in solitude.
What's the problem [Name]?
...
Fuck.
She let the anger take control over her and punched a gaping hole in the wall, her knuckles burst open and bleed out. The dark red blood slowly dipped down on the neat blue carpet, staining it.
Am I not enough?
Misa then realized what she had done and looked around. Fortunately, there were no cameras to be found in that spot. The raven-haired female hung her head low, her bangs covering her eyes.
'There's no point in crying over this now.' She thought and stormed off. Maybe a few tears did fall out of those beautiful golden eyes but all she could do was ignore them.
And as the girl could only furrow her brows over her troubled friendship, she didn't know the worst would come to make the two of you hate each other slowly.
Get ready...
For the absolute hell, the two of you will go through.
