Toriel froze, her heart beating fastly and her eyes widening in shock. She's speechless. Her mind didn't get any time to process her actions yet process in wonder. 'How does he know that I'm here?' Toriel asked in her mind.

Papyrus, Undyne, and Alphys looked at each other, confused about what's going on. Neither of Toriel nor them know about the current situation.

The house was silent. Nobody managed to speak, taking in all the information, trying to find some kind of logic behind all of these.

Toriel gathered her courage and stepped down the staircase, revealing part of herself. She has to stand up if she wants her questions to be answered, even if it is in an indirect manner.

Toriel gulped then continued to step down the stairs, her footsteps weighing much more than before; the tension in the air thickening at every second. Toriel gripped the railings tightly, hoping that this won't end anything or affect anything.

As Toriel reached the ground floor, she looked at Sans reluctantly, attempting to hide her fear in her eyes.

The three watched quietly, unsure about how to react to the situation at hand. They are in utter confusion.

"Yes, Sans? You were saying?" Toriel asked in her normal voice, regaining confidence and courage.

Sans chuckled. This chuckle was somehow familiar to the goat. Then it all snapped into her mind.

She mentally slapped herself. 'Of course this is all a play'. Slightly feeling broken-hearted...I'm sorry, I mean: MASSIVELY in a state of devastation, Toriel still managed to plaster a toothy grin on her face to hide the fact that she's disappointed and sad.

She still did played along with his little act. Sans winked at her as she winked back.

Undyne looked around confused then back at the, someday, couple. Her face is highly perplexed. "What the fu-"

Alphys cupped Undyne's mouth with her hand. "O-Okay! Let's just g-go.. Let's g-give th-them some time a-alone.."

Papyrus and Undyne agreed as they left, leaving Toriel and Sans in the Living Room. As soon as they're footsteps are unheard, the two shared a victorious high-five with each other.

After that, they didn't exactly know what to do. Toriel decided to sit on the other end of the couch where Sans is sitting, the air becoming awkward as the two struggled to think of a proper topic at the moment.

Sans sighed. He doesn't feel right even though his 'goal' is to let the three out of the room to leave him alone and stop teasing him about Toriel. He does like her very much but, he still feels very anxious and paranoid whether Toriel is just playing along with Sans and pretending to like him back, or she just feels it for a quick time and the feeling won't last long, and many more thoughts flood through his mind.

He secretly averted towards Toriel and found her chin resting on her palm, looking elsewhere with an unreadable expression. Though, he managed to think about what she is feeling, until he came across noticing her eyes.

Her eyes that are beautiful and sparkly are now looking wetter and teary. It all came to him; his eyes widening in shock. 'Of COURSE she would feel that way! Oh, I am such an idiot..!' Sans thought, mentally facepalming.

He collected his strength to speak up and succeeded. It's time he breaks the sadness she is feeling and convert her feelings from sad to happy, because that's what he loves about her.

Her smile, her happiness...everything.

Sans spoke, "H-Hey..."

Toriel stopped her pondering and looked at Sans, not really showing that much interest.

"What is it?" Her sweet voice sounded less enthusiastic. At this very point, he just knew he screwed something up.

"I know you hear what I said about loving everything about you." Sans started.

"Yes, I did." The goat fixed her posture and sat on the couch decently, looking more decent, wanting to know his point.

"W-Well..." Sans scratched the back of his neck nervously, an obvious blue blush on his face. He avoided eye contact as he stammered out his confession. "All of those were true."

Toriel's eyes widened in shock, a blush coming across her face as well. She was struck by his words, regaining her enthusiasm in her heart - her heart starting to beat faster.

"I am being honest about my answer that I, indeed, love everything about you." Sans held Toriel's hands lovingly into his, smiling at her with sincere eyes.

Toriel's eyes started to tear-up, but in joy.

"Oh, Sans!~" The goat hugged the skeleton, very joyful. She couldn't express what she's feeling by now with words so she acted it out.

And at this point, she can tell that this is a start of something entirely new.

"How many times do I have to tell you that I am in this state..?" She chuckled darkly, her red eyes glowing demonically. "This state of disrupt."

She laughed as she lifted up her knife, laughing endlessly and loudly. Her bloodthirsty eyes searched around the darkness of the void and she began walking to the only source of light that could change everything.

And by that choice, she can tell that this is also a start of something entirely new...

...and worth enjoying.
