"And who might we be? Those that dare to enter Jueyun Karst?!" An unknown voice boomed, making me shudder.

"We were sent here." Lumine told the voice in a calm manner.

"A sigil of permission... Many a season has passed since one was in presence in such an item." the voice said. "Speak, Travellers. What business do you have here?" They questioned.

"Well, actually..." Paimon was going to respond, but a loud voice interrupted.

"The assassins! How dare they flee here to Jueyun Karst!" Presumably the Milelith Sergeant.

"Hypocrite..." I muttered.

"Sir, we stepped too far into this territory ourselves..." one solider said.

"Great, the Milelith." I thought. Lumine sighed and Paimon disappeared. Equipping your blades, you engaged in battle.

Turning into a giant slime, you swallowed some soldiers and burned them alive.

At that moment, everything stopped, In front of me said: 

"NEW ABILITIES: "FIRE SPEARS" AND "MILELITH""

THROW SPEARS ENGULFED IN FIRE

TURN INTO A MILELITH SOLDIER FOR CAMOUFLAGE

Everything turned back to normal. "What the heck was that?" I said, "what the hell was what?" Lumine asked. A milelith took the opportunity to plunge his spear through Lumine's leg while she was distracted. She fell to her knees. Paimon appeared out of nowhere and ran over to Lumine, shaking her. "Lumine!" Rapid blood loss caused her to faint. Transforming back to a human, swiftly made my way over, the milelith were closing in on us.

"It's my turn to protect her."

"Think, think!" I shouted to myself. Grabbing bandages out my side bag(I don't know what's called) and gave them to Paimon. Paimon tended to Lumine's wound.(Paimon's actually useful here, lol.)

Taking deep breaths, I concentrated firepower in my arms, and pointed them at the enemies and released it. Fire spears were shot at the milelith killing some instantly, they were nothing but ashes.

"Wow..." Paimon's eyes lit up.

After the battle, Paimon and I explained what happened at the Rite of Descension.

"PREPOSTEROUS!" Mooncarver's voice boomed once again. "Travellers, the unjust accusations that have been placed upon you, one has become aware. Take your sigil of permission and find the Guardian Yaksha, conqueror of demons; carry with you with a message."

"Where should we find them?" I asked

"At Wangshu Inn. There you shall seek him." Mooncarver replied. "Let your dear friend rest here."

A frown appeared on my face. "No worries, she will be fine in my care. Once she recovers, I will tell her where you are." The adepti reassured us.

"OK, thank you very much, we will be on our way now!" Paimon told the creature, "don't worry Y/n she'll be fine!" Her saying this lifted your spirits. "Thanks Paimon." You flashed her a smile. "Once she recovers, you could tell her that you like her~" Paimon said in a smug tone. "Huh?!" My face flushed a bright red.
