I wanted to write a romance scene, since you all seem hungry as heck. And I also wanted to make it long, since now that school's started I might be busy. I also recommend listening to music!!

"Camilo, over here!" I shouted and waved at the boy. His attention went from the person he was helping to me as a smile formed on his face. He began walking towards us as Maria's face turned red.

"Hey (Y/N)! And uh... who's this?" He questioned once he stood beside Maria.

"This is my friend, Maria. She might've been acting weird the last time you met, but trust me. She was joking around." I explained as the flustered girl glared at me. But my words still helped. They shook hands and due to Camilo's extroverted self, they were able to start a conversation immediately.

I only grinned and finally slid into the shop, thanks to my distraction. I said hello to the shop owner and pulled out the list of items my cousin wanted me to buy. My smile faded when I peered through the window to see the two laughing at each others jokes, standing somewhat close.

I sighed. It hasn't even been a minute and I was already sick of them.

Later in the evening, I found myself having to tuck in my younger brother, Mateo. Not because I wanted to. He literally refused to do anything otherwise.

Just before I turned off his lamp, Mateo asked me the same question I'd been pondering for the past week.

"(Y/N)?" He spoke as I stopped to look at him. I tilted my head slightly. "When's Mama coming back?"

I was expecting any question other than that. But I shouldn't be surprised. He's barely heard of why our parents basically abandoned us. My irises softened with pity as I looked away, sighing. "I wish I had an answer to that." I turned off the light and walked to the door. "Good night, psychotic child." I teased, closing the door to let the kid sleep.

Once I had showered and had nothing but a t-shirt and shorts on, I sat at my dresser and stared into the mirror.

Why the hell did I actually try to make Maria and Camilo close? See, now they're going to actually get along and start dating or something. What were you thinking, (Y/N)?

I stood up from the chair, tiredly falling back onto my bed.

Why do I even care?

I then jumped when I heard something hit my window. I sighed and turned around, staring at the glass. It's probably just a bird that crashed onto my-

'Clank!' Another something hit the window. A pebble. I slowly stepped towards the frame, and slid it open. Looking down at the ground from my two story house, my eyes widened at the sight.

Camilo. He raised a small rock in his hand, about to throw it. But then dropped it and smirked once he saw me.

'Hola mamacita.' He mouthed. I facepalmed. You've got to be kidding me.

'Why did you come all the way here?' I mouthed back.

'What do you mean?' He raised a brow. 'You moved, so now your house is closer to mine.'

I rolled my eyes, now getting annoyed. 'Get to the point, Camilo!'

'Come outside first.' His smirk appeared again. Like he had planned something. I turned and looked at myself in the mirror, then looked back down to him.

'I just got into my pajamas. Do I have to come now?' I sighed out of laziness. Camilo only stood there. Giving up, I picked up a pebble that fell onto my floor and aimed it towards him. He didn't realize what I was doing until after the tiny rock went flying towards him and hit his forehead.

Headshot. I grinned before I threw on a black shirt, red skirt and some sandals. What would I do to prevent me from getting caught? Like anyone else would do, I made a fake clone of myself out of pillows under my blankets. Right after I quietly stepped down the stairs and to the door, since everyone was now in their rooms.

After I closed the door behind me, Camilo came out from behind the corner. Purposely startling me. "So, you ready to tell me why you're here?" I asked.

"That can wait. Follow me!" The freckled boy made a gesture for me to come with him as he turned around, beginning to walk away. He clearly planned something.

I groaned in annoyance and followed him through the streets anyway. The Encanto was actually beautiful at night. Even the way the lanterns illuminated the street and colored houses looked magical. But I ignored that and began to think of where Camilo was leading me. His house maybe. Did Isabela want to talk to me? Or was he throwing a prank of some sort?

Minutes later, we had just walked past his home and were starting to walk through the forest. Now this whole trip was beginning to get even more suspicious. Not that it wasn't already. He barely talked to me the whole time.

"Hey, this is weird. Where are you taking me anyway?" I questioned before we both stopped. He turned to face me and grinned mischievously.

"It's a secret! What, are you scared?" He chuckled and continued to walk.

"Obviously not. If one of us would get scared of a forest at night I think it would be you." I rolled my eyes. "But again, this whole thing has been really sketchy."

"Are you saying you don't trust me, hermosa?" He asked as we paused in front of a few willow trees. I sighed and looked at him.

"Of course I don't." I said. But he ignored me and used his arm to brush some of the branches away from our view. We stepped closer, and what the trees revealed was truly amazing.

This seemed to be on top of the smaller mountains, since we got a great view of the landscape from here. Fireflies were swarming around the area, but not too much to make it annoying. Several colorful flowers were planted around the ends of it. And in the middle of all of this laid a white blanket with a picnic basket on top. But best of all, there were no clouds in the sky, giving us a clear view of the constellations. Which I didn't see a lot of where I lived.

"So, watcha think?" Camilo looked to me with a beaming smile on his lips. But my eyes were still trying to process all of it.

"Camilo this is... Beautiful." I managed to get a few words out as we sat down onto the blanket.

"Yeah, so beautiful..." His hazel eyes softened as he stared into mine. I smirked.

"Are you talking about me or the view?" I responded, watching him as his hands opened the basket and rummaged through it.

"Both." Camilo quickly stated, his cheeks now flooded with blush. Pulling out some food, he extended his right hand to me. "Empanada?"

I grinned and gladly took it from his hand, munching into it immediately. "Thanks, this is nice." I spoke between mouthfuls of food.

"Mm, I'm glad you like it." He smiled, looking at the night sky.

"So, what's up with you and Maria?" I wondered, since it had been on my mind all day.

Camilo looked at me completely blankly. "Hm?" He simply hummed in response.

"You were talking to her today. For a while actually." I stated, chewing on some more food.

"That's because you clearly wanted us to. And as much as I wanted to, I couldn't just leave." He explained, running a hand through his curly hair.

"Hold up, you wanted to leave her?" I asked, turning to meet his glance.

"She was being sort of weird about me. And don't act like you wouldn't leave her too, I see the way you cringe at her." Camilo said as I laughed.

"Y'know, you're not wrong about that." I said as we both looked back into the horizon. That was until his eyes randomly lit up as he slowly smirked.

"Are you jealous, (Y/N)?" Camilo teased, now looking at me once again. It felt like a heatwave had washed over my face now that I was this flustered.

"N-no. Why would I be?" I pretended to be unbothered by his question as I crossed my arms and grinned.

"Wow, the most confident and dominant woman I know is flustered." He shapeshifted into me, trying to mock me.

"Oh my god, stop that." I nudged him as he shifted back, laughing uncontrollably.

"What's wrong? I didn't say that was a bad thing." Camilo said, before taking the last empanada. "Do you want the last one?"

"Awe, what a gentleman." I joked, rolling my eyes.

"Stop rolling your eyes or I'll give you a reason to."

I immediately froze, slowly turning my head to him, questioning the wrong comment he had made. "What did you just say?" I asked him. His eyes widened, before he began choking on the food he just swallowed.

"I-I swear (Y/N) I didn't mean it like that!" He explained himself after he finally managed to successfully stop choking.

"Noted..." I sighed and moved slightly closer to him, noticing the pinkish color on his face. After a few seconds of silence, I found my hand suddenly on top of Camilo's. I could tell he noticed and slightly gasped, but I ignored that. I could feel myself slowly inching closer to him each second. Of course, my consciousness was telling me to back off of him. But my heart said otherwise.

"(Y-Y/N)?" Camilo was now looking at me, blushing more than ever. Our faces were just an inch apart when I smirked.

"Y'know as much as I deny it, you're actually pretty cute, Camilo." I admitted. Damn, who knew following your hearts commands could make you this bold.

"W-what are you doing..." His voice faded off as he looked away, covering half of his face with his hand to hide his blushful cheeks.

"(Y/N), If you really wanted to kiss my primo, you could've just asked him. He would love that actually." A familiar voice behind us made us both pause and turn our heads. "Unless you've already done that."

"Mirabel?" I whispered/yelled as the girl came out from behind the shadows of the trees, mischievously grinning.

"Yeah, it's your girl." She stepped towards the blanket and sat between the two of us. "Sorry, I seem to be late to the party. Anyway, what's up?" Mirabel asked, looking at Camilo, then at me. But none of us dared to speak. "Oh my god, I'm joking." She stated, taking the piece of unfinished food out of Camilo's hand and throwing it into her mouth.

"I'm glad you're here, Mira. Camilo was assaulting me!" I lied as Mirabel dramatically gasped. That was a bad choice. She ended up choking on her food.
