Being at Eden Hall was going to be tough. I'm staying in the dorms because my family moved to Michigan. I had the option of either going to Eden Hall with the ducks or move with my family. My brother Jesse wanted to move, he said he didn't want to be stuck at a preppy school where they have a whole bunch of nonsense rules.

Being with the ducks was the best option for me. They kept me grounded. I'm known as the trouble maker of the group. Jesse and I fraternal twins, this means that we don't look identical, but we are pretty much alike. He has a smart mouth and so do I, but we somehow balance each other out.

Walking into Eden Hall made me feel weird, like out of place in a way. "I think this place is running very low on the brothers quotient." Russ mentioned.

"Yeah, hey I want to know who this new coach Orion is. My dad said that if I didn't like him I could come right home." Julie said which made Luis chuckle and nudge me playfully.

"That's nice. My dad said I better stay in on scholarship or he'll whip my butt." Russ replied. "Yeah, I don't think my dad would like the idea of me throwing away a scholarship, he's kinda already not very happy with Jesse about it." I added.

"You know, I heard in the dorm that the guy played for the Minnesota North Stars... and got suspended for punching out his own coach." Luis said sounding surprised.

"You mean the Dallas Stars...I heard he punched out a fan." Dwayne added. "I heard he was a Buddhist. You know, like Kung Fu or Richard Gere." Julie added on.

"Kung Fu wasn't a Buddhist..he was a Trappist monk." Ken corrected her. "Are you talking about the old Kung Fu or the Further Adventures of the New Kung Fu?" Russ asked.

Dwayne shook his head, "Y'all watch too much TV." Russ then chuckled, "Shoot, that's the safest thing to do in my hood."

As we sat down in the auditorium I noticed the people in the row behind us were giving us dirty looks. I sat in between Julie and Luis, and soon shifted in my seat as I felt eyes burning into the back of my head. "Are you okay?" Luis whispered to me.

"I'm alright." I lied, I thought I was just being paranoid. "Hey you know what? You ducks don't belong here at Eden Hall." A boy said from behind us.

"What?" Russ asked mugging the boy. "Hey, easy, Russ. They probably just think we're someone else, um I'm Dwayne. We're the new hockey team, and you are?" Dwayne greeted, extending his hand only for another one of the guys to stick chewed up gum in his hand.

"Fuckin' gross." I mumbled which caused the older boys to glare at me. "Well aren't you just a hottie, maybe we can hook up sometime." The leader of their group said. "Pervert." I growled.

"We're varsity, the only hockey team. State champs. You know my little brother lost his JV slot when they brought you yo-yo's in here."

"He probably wasn't good enough." Julie fired back. "See that's my dad, he's gonna get the board to revoke your scholarships. Just you wait." The dude threatened.

"That's your dad? Nice outfit. Did it come with a yacht?" Russ teased making us all snicker.

Our conversation had stopped there with varsity and now we were just waiting for the rest of the team to get here. Suddenly Luis had grabbed my hand and started to play with my rings that I had on. You see, Luis and I weren't dating, I have a small crush on him, but as far as I know, he only sees me as a friend. He does small things like laying on me or play fighting, but that's just his personality.

He's naturally just a flirty person so no one questions his actions with me. He's kissed me on the cheek before and stuff like that, but it's never been anything more that just friends. Connie says that she could see him and I being something, but I'm not pushing anything.

After about 30 minutes the Dean of the academy started talking. I heard some voices come from behind the curtain and out of nowhere all of the ducks crashed onto the stage, with all of them wearing their gear. "Hi. We're the ducks." Charlie nervously chuckled.

Everyone and I mean everyone bursted out into laughter as Luis and I shook our heads in unison at our friends behavior.
