3rd POV:
Rosie Monroe stood by the grand entrance of their new mansion, surveying the scene with mixed sense of curiosity and excitement. The movers were bustling around her, carefully placing antique furniture and unpacking boxes, while the mansion itself loomed like a castle in the hills, its grand columns shining in the California sun. This was there new life. The house, with its sweeping stairs, glittering chandeliers, and endless marble floors, was a symbol of everything her father had worked for.

And Rosie? Well, she was going to have to get used to it.

"Everything is looking great, don't you think?" Her mother Victoria Monroe, asked as she stepped up beside her, adjusting her sunglasses and smoothing down the edges of her white dress. Her perfect brown hair caught the sunlight, shining like a halo.

"It's beautiful." Rosie replied, offering a warm smile, though it didn't reach her eyes completely. "I'll admit, it's pretty impressive."

"I knew you'd come around." Victoria's voice was light, pleased with herself. She beamed as she looked around, clearly relishing every detail. "This is the kind of life you were meant to have sweetheart. Don't you love it?"

Rosie nodded, glancing at the sweeping lawn, the sparkling pool in the backyard, and the long driveway leading up to the front gate. The mansion was massive, and for the first time, she understood the allure of living in a place like this. There as no denying it - it was impressive, and there was a lot to do. But did she love it? She wasn't sure yet.

Across the yard, Oscar Monroe, her father, was barking orders to the movers with a precise, no-nonsense attitude. His navy suit was impeccably tailored, and his deep blue eyes never stopped scanning the property. He was the epitome of control, always planning the next step, always focused b how the world saw him.

"You think we'll be ready for a party in two days?" Rosie asked, turning to her mother with a raised eyebrow.

Victoria gave a small smile "Of course, darling. We've thrown parties like this before. You'll meet all the right people, and it'll be perfect. It's going to be wonderful. Just wait until you see the guest list ."

Rosie tried to contain her excitement. The party sounded like the sort of  thing she could enjoy - the kind of event where she could meet new people, try new things, and maybe even relax for a bit. She wasn't going to pretend like the idea of getting to know this new world didn't have its appeal.

"Yeah, I'm sure it'll be great." Rosie glanced over at the pool, watching her younger sister, Lila, bounce around with her usual enthusiasm. At only 8 years old, Lila's excitement was infectious, and she was already making herself at home. Rosie a twinge of affection for her, mixed with a touch of envy. Lila fit in with ease - she wasn't weighted down by the complexities of adult hood or the pressure of expectations. Lila was free to just be herself , and maybe that was what Rosie envied the most.

Lila suddenly sprinted over to her big sister, her pigtails bouncing with every step. "Rosie! You have to come see the pool! It's so big, I could swim in it forever!" She tugged at her sister's hand carefully.

"Alright, alright." Rosie laughed, allowing Lila to drag her across the yard. "I'm coming. I hope you're not planning on making me swim with you, though. I'm not that enthusiastic about water."

Little girl giggled. "You'll love it! It's the best pool ever!"

As they reached the edge of the pool, Rosie couldn't help but admire the sparkling water. The pool stretched for what felt like miles, its clear blue surface reflecting the sky above. It was, in a word in perfect. Everything about this house screamed luxury, and Rosie couldn't help but feel a bit caught up in it. She stood there, watching Lila dip her feet into the water, smiling with glee. It was hard not to get excited about this place.

"Pretty great, right?" Lila asked, looking up at Rosie with big wide eyes.

"Yeah." Rosie admitted, her gaze softening. "I'll give you that. It's definetly great."

Oscar, who has been standing by, watching the movers, turned towards them. "Alright, girls, make sure you're settled. The party's is in two days. Rosie, I expect you to look your best. It's important that you meet the right people." His voice was firm, but there was an underlying pride in it. It was clear that this party wasn't just for fun - it was business.

Rosie straightened up, suddenly aware of the importance of everything around her. "Don't worry, dad I've got it covered." She said with a smile, trying to sound as confident as her father. She could handle this. She could play the part.

Victoria, who has been admiring herself in a reflection from the glass doors, joined them. "The guest list is impressive, darling." She said, her voice light and full of anticipation. "You'll meet everyone who matters. The right connections will be made, and this will be the begging for a new chapter for us."

Rosie nodded, through the mention of "connections" always made her a bit uneasy. She didn't care much for superficial nature of those kind of events, but she understood why it mattered to her family. It was about more than just socialising - it was about status, about who you knew and who knew you.

"Sounds like fun." Rosie said, trying her best to convincing. "I'll be ready."

Her father's lips curved into a rare, approving smile. "Good. This house, this life - it's all about being prepared. And you're prepared, Rosie. I know you are."

She smiled back, though she could feel the weight of her father's words. Everything was about appearances, about perfection. But Rosie was starting to realise that maybe there was more to this house than she had first thought. Maybe there was an opportunity to step into this new world and make it her own. Maybe this party, this life, could be the begging of something she hadn't expected.

As Lila splashed in the pool behind her, Rosie felt a glimmer of hope. Maybe, just maybe, this new chapter wouldn't be so bad. At least, not if she could find her own way to make it real.
