3 Years Later...
Author POV:
"We are B Komachi!"
Thousands of fans waved their pink, yellow and white lighsticks, screaming frantically as their favourite idols ended their concert with a fun, upbeat song and a pose that sent everyone wild.
The girl in the center, the red-headed one with pretty eyes and a lovely smile. The girl on the left with beautiful blonde hair and sparkling pink eyes with the cute demanour. The girl on the right with her exclusive YouTube fans, her cute haircut and viral smile.
The perfect trio- the new evolution of B Komachi.
"Thank you everybody!" The red-head center shouted into the microphone. "We'll see you next time! This is B Komachi, signing out!"
She made a heart sign, winked and slowly the backed off stage, while the fan's uproar shook the stadium.
Ruby POV:
"Great job, guys!" I high-fived MEM and Kana. "That was great. We'll get a ton more fans now."
"It's so strange to think we've come so far," MEM sighed, "Just a few years ago we were a noob idol group with only 1k subs."
"I think some ruffle fell off my dress," Kana remarked, inspecting the hems of her outfit, "Well, at least there's time for it to be mended before we perform Star T Rain again."
"Our next destination is... New York City, right?"
B Komachi was on a world tour.
Right now, we were at Paris. B Komachi had grown so popular over the years that we now had over 50 million YT subscribers, 52 million TikTok followers and 54 million Twitter, Instagram and Facebook followers. Atop of all that social media achievement, we had also earned lots of fans, with a fandom for each of us. Twenty-one music videos and twenty-six songs were released throughout the years and each and every one of us had a solo.
It was so hard to believe just three years ago, everything had been different. We now officially had our own studio and recording room, with lots of fancy equipment. We were the star of Strawberry Productions and Miyako was delighted with our success, bringing up the popularity of her company.
"Our flight leaves at midnight," Kana said, checking her watch, "Which leaves us only three hours to pack our things at the hotel, get to the airport and get on the plane. Oh, why do we have such a tight schedule?!"
"Let's go quickly," MEM suggested, wiping the excessive makeup off and throwing on some casual clothes. "The rest of the team will take care of the equipment here."
"Wait. Mom called." I said. "She said our luggage is already taken care of, and so's our sign-in at the airport."
"Phew," Kana sighed. She was always the responsible one.
"Let's go to the hotel and have a shower and change into clean clothes," I said, "The plane is the private one."
"Good," MEM laughed. "Remember last time we had to go on a public plane to Singapore and everyone kept reconigsing us??"
"That was horrifying," Kana agreed. "Let's get going."
We rushed to the hotel with our driver and took turns showering. I changed into a loose pastel yellow sweater, runners and jeans. MEM wore a fuzzy white jacket, baseball shoes and black cargo pants. Kana put on a oversized navy hoodie and white sneakers.
Our hair had grown a lot since three years ago, though MEM still liked to keep hers short. Mine was cut to shoulder-length and was curled while Kana's had grown really long and rippling with pretty waves. Upon Miyako's insistence (to differ my appearance from countless other blonde idols), I had dyed a thick strand of my hair pastel pink to go with my cute face. Kana had kept her iconic red hair and MEM still had her brown-yellow hair colour.
Kana tyed her long hair up in a high ponytail and I bundled mine up in a bun. "I really don't know if the curls help," I remarked while staring at my reflection in the bathroom mirror, "Doesn't it make me looked a little snobby? Like one of those popular girls on the TV shows?"
"Your hair is fine," Kana rolled her eyes. "I think mine makes me look too mature and not cute enough. Meanwhile you look like a schoolgirl diva queen."
MEM was slowly braiding her hair into two french braids. "I think my hair's grown out a bit. I actually quite like being able to braid my hair."
"I can help you," I said, and went to help MEM braid her hair. We were both finished packing.
Kana shoved the remaints of her things into her duffel bag after finishing MEM's hair, we were off in a taxi to the airport.
Dealing with long flights and busy airports had come naturally to us after completing half of our world tour. We just kept our heads down, wore sunglasses and the secuirty guards took care of the rest.
"We've got fifeteen minutes until the plane is ready," MEM said, "Let's go get something to eat for a late dinner."
So a secuirty guard went and got them each a salad, and they ate it eagerly. Dieting and rationing was different now that they were top-rank idols. Fat-shaming came so easily to haters.
Finally, we were allowed to board after a few minutes of scrolling on our phones. The mob of secuirty guards hustled us to the small plane and we took our seats- the two five-person rows. We took the first row as always (we sat one seat seperate from each other), and just like everytime, we argued about who would get the window seats.
"I didn't get it last time," MEM argued.
"I didn't get it twice in a row!" Kana objected.
"But you had it last time," I pointed out.
"You two have had more goes, though," Kana said.
"Still, you had it last time," MEM said. "You and Ruby. It's fair that I should get one of the window seats."
"Fine," I subsided. "But I'm not backing down for the other one."
"Neither am I." Kana retorted.
"ROCK PAPER SISSCORS!" MEM shouted. It was how we always settled things.
So me and Kana did rock-paper-sisscors. "Rock, paper..."
I held out a paper and Kana held out a sisscor. Crap.
"Kana gets it," MEM declared. "And Ruby can have it next time."
I groaned and took the middle seat. There were adjustable placques in front of us for a large foldable table and movie screen.
"I want to watch Love Now," MEM declared.
"The dating show you did when you met us?" I asked.
"Yeah. Brings back memories." MEM grinned. "I also like making fun of how stupid I was back then."
Kana laughed and took out her headphones as the plane started going down the runway track.
"This part is so fun," I proclaimed as the plane slowly slid into the air.
"Even though it hurts your ears?" Kana grumbled as the plane flew higher.
"Excuse me!" MEM called out to a staff lady. "Can you please get me a lollipop?"
"Of course." The woman smiled and got them a watermelon lollipop. "Here you go, Miss."
"Thanks..." MEM inspected the lady's badge. "Miss Lola."
"It's not a problem," The lady's smile was so nice and motherly. "My daughter loves your group. I'm very priviliged to be working with you."
"Aww," I cooed. "We'd love to meet your daughter someday."
Lola blushed. "I know this isn't very seemly of me, but would you mind signing these photographs? My daughter has been nagging me for your signature."
I took the photo as Lola handed out the other two to MEM and Kana. It was a printed photocard of me performing my solo. MEM and Kana's were similair.
I flipped the card to the back where it wasn't laminated and used the marker from my backpack to sign it with my signature, making sure to add the iconic heart.
"Here you go." I handed my photo back to Lola, who looked absoulutely thrilled to have our signatures.
"Thank you so much," Lola gushed. "My daughter will be besotted with these."
"Might I ask," Kana said, "What is your daughter's name?"
"Oh! It's Annie. Annie Yamamato."
I stopped dead-cold.
A/N: WE! ARE! STAR! T RAIN!!
Such an addictive idol song. If B Komachi was an actual idol group they would have no problem getting over 50 million followers.
