"Fort Laxdo?" I repeated, Izana nodded, turning towards me. "Yeah, you'll be going there to investigate the incident that's currently happening," I tensed up. Fort Laxdo rings a bell. I don't know why.  "When do I leave?" I asked almost in a whisper. Izana held his chin and ambulated, "You can leave at dusk," He waved his towards me to show I was dismissed so I gave a small bow and turned to the door. "Oh and one more thing Shirayuki,"

I twisted my head to look over my shoulder at him, he was surprisingly close. "Here," He ran his finger through my hair leaving something in the by my bangs. "Bye Shirayuki, don't tell anyone about your task," He sat back in his chair and stared out the window. "Goodbye, Prince Izana," A small smile came across his lips and shut his eyes. I stepped out of the room and saw Zen standing with his arms folded. He had a clear look of anger and  frustration on his face, I stared at him with wonder in my eyes.

He clicked his tongue and stepped closer towards me, placing a hand on the door beside my head. "What did Izana want with you?" His eyes inquired mine. I felt electricity shoot up my body as he leaned even closer, placing his forehead on mine. I began to stammer over my words and I felt my face flush. Remembering the first thing from when I woke up- Zen's kiss. "What did Izana want with you?" He asked in a caring voice, shutting his eyes. I bit my lip and shut my eyes, taking a deep breath.

"He... sent me on a task," I breathed out, Zen jumped back and clenched his fists. "But you woke up from a state of unconsciousness 10 minutes ago! How can he send you on a task now?!" He stormed into Izana's office and glared at him. "Prince Izana, why have you set a task for Shirayuki although she barely got out bed?" He asked in a low voice. I stayed out the room and listened to their conversation. "If she wishes to remain in this kingdom, she will fulfill this task, no matter the costs," Izana smirked.

A small gasp escaped my lips as I slowly walked away, "I should start packing equipment," I muttered, rushing to the medical wing, when I stepped through the door, Gazelt blinked her wide eyes at me, "I see your up and about now," She smiled. I nodded and went straight to the resources room, I took a lot of medical supplies before leaving with a single wave. I ran straight to my room and went through anything that opened in search for my weapons.

Then I facepalmed, my weapons were taken from me-- as were my boots. I sighed before aimlessly sprinting around the castle grounds in search of the armory. Guards stared at me like I was a mad woman, which didn't surprise me because I wasn't wearing shoes and I doubt I look pretty at the moment. I'm stressed, tired and scared. I want to stay but I want to leave. If I don't do this task, I'll be kicked out the castle.

If I do it then I have permission to stay. Why do I want to stay? I don't exactly have connections to this place. Now that I think about it, Prinze Izana is probably using this task as a hidden way to get rid of me. He wants me to back out of it. He wants me gone. He wants me to cower. However, he might just be testing my loyalty, but to whom? If I were to leave the castle, there's no one here who would miss me.

Zen

He would miss me.  Now that I think about it, he seems to be the only one who cares about my existence. Other than Obi but he's part of the family so he wouldn't really miss me. I stopped and leaned onto a wall, what do I do?

"What do you mean 'she leaves if she doesn't do the task'?!" I tried to contain my anger but this was too outrageous! "Exactly as I said, if she doesn't do her task, she leaves, what wasn't clear?" Izana smartly answered back. "Besides, this task is only for her, you're not even meant to know about it, I could kick her out right now if you want," He smirked, a humored glint sparkling in his eye, he was playing with me.

I pressed my lips together and lowered my head, "Why send her now? What would you have done if she never woke up?" I asked beneath my breath. "Goodbye Zen," I bowed and turned around, grinding my teeth as I walked out the room, I need to help Shirayuki from the shadows on this. And I know the perfect person for that kind of job. Where would he be at a time like this? He's not one to stay in a single place for a long time.

Garden maybe? He just appears everywhere to be honest. I began wandering around the hallways in search for Obi, glancing at every tree and rooftop from the windows. Where is he?! My pace subconsciously quickening to the point that I'd explored the entire castle grounds in search for him. "Zen!" I heard someone call out to me, I shot my eyes in their direction in hope of it being Obi but it was only Mitsuhide and Kiki.

"Obi left a note," Kiki sighed as Mitsuhide panted, I took the paper from his hands and skimmed through it. 'Master, I've gone outside castle grounds for a while, I don't know when I'll be back-- later,' I crushed the paper in my hand and began to grind my teeth. "Why the hell does he leave when need him?" I growled beneath my breath. I swept my hand through my hair letting out a puff of air as my heart raced in my chest.

I just can't bear the thought that she could come back hurt.
