By dinnertime, everyone was very much settled into the house. They were all seated at the dining table eating the delicious dinner that Yoko had prepared. There were eight chairs at the dining table, and since there were only seven people in the house, one of the chairs remained empty.

Or at least it did remain empty until Core jumped onto it and sat there expectantly. Yuya giggled and put some of his grilled chicken on the table in front of his beloved cat.

"Yuya!" Yoko exclaimed. "Don't feed him people food! He'll get fat!" But Core snatched the chicken up and chewed it happily.

"Yusho, tell him! He's gonna get Core fat if he keeps feeding him like that!" Yoko said, looking at her husband. But her husband just replied, "Huh? I didn't see anything!"

"Yusho!" Yoko scolded. "Don't pretend you didn't see him feed the cat grilled chicken!" Core finished his chicken and meowed at Yuya, who gave him more chicken. Yoko tried to grab the chicken, but Core snatched it up and bolted, running through the kitchen and down the hall with his treat.

Yoko groaned. "Yuya. Stop feeding him people food." Yuya looked up at her with wide eyes, "But he likes people food!"

Yusho quietly remained out of it. No sense in getting involved. Sometimes having two animal lovers in the house could be a bit chaotic.
