"mummy!" little zakie calls. "I found your bracelet," she says. "HOW COULD YOU!?" her mother shouts. "what?" zakie asks as tears approach her eyes. Her mother slaps her hard across the face. She pushes her to the floor. "IT'S OBVIOUS YOU STOLE MY FUCKING BRACELET." she slaps the bracelet on her knee. "if you don't smarten the fuck up, you'll be out of this house.". "But-" zakie cries hard. her mother stops her within her words. "No buts, smarten up." her mother leaves the room, her keys jingling in her purse. Zakie whines, "I swear I didn't.." she whispers.  30 minutes later   "hey," Jeni calls, breathlessly. Zakie stops right in her tracks; "oh, hey."
