A/N: Before I start, the real fight between you, Yusei and the shadow spirits will happen once more in a later chapter. I'm glad you all are enjoying this. Before you could celebrate, a dark light appeared. A dark voice said, "I'm going to make these fools our shadow soldiers! No mortals can stop us!" You yelled, "Who are you?!? What do you want with these innocent people?" The voice laughed evilly, "I want these people to become our shadow soldiers and help us rid the world of the spirits of light." Yusei then yelled, "We won't let you do this!" The voice said, "Too late! Look at your friends!" You both saw Crow, Akiza, Jack, Leo and Luna, they had a look of anger. You whispered, "The nightmare....its coming true!" Yusei's eyes were deceiving him. You said, "Yusei we have no choice! They won't listen to a word we say! Their minds have been taken over by the shadow spirits. The only way to snap them out of it is by dueling them, it may sound crazy but that's our only hope right now!" You heard a possessed Akiza speak, "Its too late mortals! Your friends are now the servants to the shadow spirits! Now we will eliminate those who get in our way, like you and your mortal friend!" Yusei was the next to speak, "Y/N, is duelling these freaks the only way to get everyone back?" You could tell that he was crying. Yusei screamed, "Give us back our friends or else!" The spirit spoke once more, "You can't do anything now! You can't even communicate with them! What will you do now, mortal? You have no miracles to save you now!"

You were both at a loss for words. You felt so guilty that you had dropped to your knees. You whispered, "This is all my fault." Yusei said, "Y/N, it's not your fault. It surprised us both." Yusei continued, "We can't give up, Y/N. Believe in yourself." Your eyes widened and you realized that Yusei had said this before. When you were nervous about entering the Duelling Cup, he told you to believe in yourself and in your cards. You got up and said, "You're right, but how are we going to face them if it's five against two?" You suddenly became startled, which made Yusei concerned. "Are you alright?", he asked. You replied, "I thought I felt some spirits here." You then heard, "Y/N! It's us!" Your eyes widened once more when you saw some familiar faces. "Akiza? Jack? Crow? Leo and Luna?" You thought your eyes were deceiving you. Akiza's spirit looked at their possessed bodies, "Y/N, I know it's hard to believe but it's us. We may not be here with you and Yusei physically, but we're always here in spirit." You and Yusei suddenly saw that both your decks were glowing. Crow's spirit was the next to speak, "Yusei, Y/N. I know you're both up against something powerful so we're going to help you, through the cards that are in your decks." Jack's spirit added, "Y/N, you can't give up just because there are more people fighting against you! You have to be calm and you have to be strong!" You then heard Leo's spirit say, "Kick some butt, Y/N!" Luna's spirit said, "You and Yusei have to hurry! If you don't then we may never even see the real world ever again." Their spirits began to fade quickly and you blinked. Yusei asked, "What is it?" You calmly answer, "Our friends. Their spirits are still pure, they haven't been tainted by the shadows. They said that they're going to help us through the cards in our decks." Yusei looked at you, "That glow was our friends' spirits trying to help us?" You nodded.

You both stood in front of the shadow spirits. You had to come up with a strategy to defeat them. How though? They would probably know every move you make. Like they had some kind of psychic power. Yusei looked at you again and said, "We're partners, right? We need to stick together." "Yusei." Yusei added, "Ready to show these spirits what we're made of?" You nodded, "Let's do it. For all our friends." You quietly prayed, "Spirits of light, please help us."

*******In the spirit world*******

Dark Magician stopped and quickly motioned his student to follow him. Dark Magician Girl asked, "What is it?" He motioned her to stay quiet. "Spirits of light, please help us." Dark Magician Girl said, "That's Y/N's voice!" Dark Magician said gravely, "It seems the shadow spirits have taken over the minds of her friends. Their spirits have been ignored." Dark Magician Girl said, "We have to help her!" Dark Magician shook his head, "Yes but not at this moment. We must strike when they are least expecting it." "Like a sneak attack?" Her teacher nodded.

********In the normal world********

You told the dark spirit, "You may have our friends and their decks, but you will never know how to duel with the heart of a true duelist." The spirit replied, "I don't need heart! All I need is powerful monsters and a duel disk!" You didn't say anything and just processed a plan in your mind. You and Yusei looked at each other, wanting to say something, but nothing would come out of either of your mouths. You and Yusei said in unison, "Let's duel, shadow spirit!" You both got your duel disks ready and were ready to fight.

You both saw something that made both your eyes enlarge with fear. Yusei said, "Why are all our friends dragons on the field?!? Don't they have to be Synchro Summoned?" The dark voice answered, "They don't need to be if they are under the control of the shadows. Now I'm going to get them to attack you both directly!" You saw all the dragons aiming at you and Yusei. You were both pushed back by the force of all the dragons' attacks. You brushed the dirt off of your body and ran to help your friend. You glared at the spirit, who in return, snickered at the both of you. You asked with concern, "Yusei? Are you okay? You're not hurt are you?" Yusei said, "I'm fine, Y/N. We need to think of something and fast." The dark spirit said, "Luckily for you, pathetic mortals. I end my turn." You look at Yusei and ask, "Do you want to start?" Yusei shook his head, "I think you should. You know more about these things than I do. I think that's more of a safer option at the moment." You said, "Alright. I'll try my best." Yusei replied, "As your partner and your friend, I trust your judgment." You respond with determination, "Let's do it!" You said, "My move!" You drew a card and saw the type of card it was. You continued, "This one's for Crow! I summon Blackwing -Shura the Blue Flame in Defense mode. Now I'm going to activate the Spell card, Lightning Vortex! By discarding one card, I can destroy all your monsters!" All the dragons disappeared and you both looked at his LP. The spirit said, "I forgot to mention, my LP starts at 16000, while you pathetic mortals both start at 4000. You added, "With this monster's ability, I can summon another Blackwing with 1500 or below ATK points. I choose Blackwing- Damascus the Polar Night. I'd also like to add you just lost a large amount of your life points since all those dragons were in Attack mode. 12,600 to be exact!" The spirit growled in anger. The shadow spirit's LP goes down to 3,400. You add, "I place two face downs and end my turn." Yusei said, "Its my turn! First, I summon Sonic Chick in Defense mode, then I summon Junk Synchron, which lets me summon Quillbolt Hedgehog from my grave and special summon it. They won't be there for long because Junk Synchron is going to give them a tune up! Junk Warrior, let's rev it up! I place a face down and end my turn." The dark spirit spoke from Akiza's mind, "I play the Spell, Dark Hole! I can destroy all your monsters!" Both Blackwings were destroyed, making your LP go down to 2700 and making Yusei's LP go to 1700. The spirit continued, "I end my turn." You said, "I should be thanking you because I can counter your Spell with my own! With Cracking, if a monster is sent to the grave due to a card effect, I can inflict 800 points of damage to you." The spirit growled, "WHAT?!?" Its points go down to 1600. Yusei said, "I skip my turn." The spirit says, "I also skip my turn. I want to see what you mortals have to save you." Yusei glared at him. Yusei then adds, "Y/N, I think that you can handle it from here." "Yusei, I-" He said, "Whatever happens, I've got your back." You nod, "Alright then." You close your eyes and say to yourself, "If I don't draw a good card, Yusei and I will become spirit food." You drew a card and saw it. That spirit was in for a surprise. You said, "First I summon Magician's Valkyria in Attack mode, then I summon Effect Veiler, Arcane Apprentice and Flamvell Magician! Effect Veiler is going to give them a tune up! Now when Spellcasters combine, a new force is created! I Synchro Summon, Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon! I'm not done yet! Now I summon the Majestic Dragon, who's going to give Azure-Eyes a well needed tune up! I Synchro Summon, the Majestic Silver Dragon! I now activate my dragon's special ability, for every Spellcaster I used to Synchro Summon, it gains 1000 ATK points." Both Yusei and the dark spirits said, "1000?!?" Majestic Silver Dragon's ATK goes to 8000. You said, "This one is for my friends and for the lives of the innocent people you hurt! Majestic Silver Dragon, attack with Shining Silver Strike!" You thought that it would finish the army but then you saw that they were still standing. You said, "How?!? That was supposed to finish you!" You then sensed a large amount of spirits coming. You then saw Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl coming. Dark Magician Girl said, "We're here to help you kick some butt! We need you to get your dragon to attack once more and then we'll add our attacks as well!" You nod, "Alright then! Hey, Majestic Silver Dragon! Teach this dark spirit a lesson with Shining Silver Strike!" You then heard all the spirits say, "ATTACK!" The dark spirits cried, "NOOOO!!!" You then saw your dragon's attack turn into a large beam of light, destroying the dark one over the stadium. You saw the spirit say, "This fight is only beginning, mortal! We shall return!" Yusei said, "That was amazing!" You answer, "I don't know about that. I'm just worried about everyone else. The people that were taken by that light aren't safe yet, Yusei." He asked, "What do you mean?" You said, "The spirits won't be released until we fight the shadow spirit leader. The leader has control over the spirits." Yusei replies, "I think we can worry about that later. For now, we need to find our friends and see if they're okay." As Yusei spoke, you both heard several groans, making you both turn your head. You heard Crow first, "Ugh. It feels like someone rode over me with their duel runner forty times." You said, "Welcome back." Akiza rubbed her head, "What happened to us?" Yusei looked at them and answered, "Your minds were being controlled by the shadow spirits." Yusei added, "Y/N and I defeated them for now. Y/N was amazing though." You felt your cheeks flush, "C-Come o-on, Yusei. You helped too. If I dueled alone, then I would've never been able to face them like that." Leo whined, "Aw! I wanted to see Y/N's cool synchro summoning! It was probably really cool." You all heard the MC say, "Tomorrow's match will be postponed and broadcast the day after tomorrow. That's all for today! Thank you for joining us and have a fantastic day!"

After the entire shadow spirit thing, you felt like you wanted to sleep forever. You were all back at the warehouse, you were currently staring at the card that saved both you, Yusei and everyone else, Majestic Silver Dragon. It was powerful and it had a lot of abilities. You were amazed at how powerful it was. You put the card back in your deck and saw everyone outside. You walked out to see Akiza, Crow and Jack arguing over something. You spoke up, "What's going on, you three?" They all jumped at the sound of your voice. Akiza said, "Isn't Black Rose Dragon strong, Y/N?" Crow and Jack interjected, "Our dragons are better!" You sighed. You had a feeling something like this would happen. You were quiet for a moment before you answered, "I-I think that they're all powerful in their own way. I don't think there's a clear answer." You then saw Yusei come out and you gave him a 'save me' look. Yusei asked, "What's going on?" You quietly told him, "They're arguing over which of their monsters is the strongest." Yusei asked you, "How did you respond, Y/N?" You quietly whispered, "I just said that they're all powerful and strong in their own unique way." Yusei looked at his friends and said, "All of your monsters are powerful. It depends on the person and what their definition of strong is." Jack said, "I guess your right." You stayed silent and didn't realize that everybody was looking at you. Yusei nudged your shoulder, making you realize what was going on. "Oh, um...i-it's nothing." Yusei knew something was up, so he decided to make up an excuse, "I think Y/N is just tired. I'm going to keep her company until she falls asleep." He practically dragged you back inside. You mentally face palmed yourself.

Yusei pulled you inside and you were confused about what had just happened, "Yusei?" Yusei then replies, "I know something's up, Y/N. You've been spacing out ever since we got back. You're usually more talkative." You stayed silent and heard Yusei sigh. You could feel yourself burst into tears, letting out the bottled emotions you've kept in since defeating the shadow spirits for the first time. Yusei instantly pulled you into his arms and whispered, "Y/N, you don't have to smile all the time. You can cry and get angry too. You're only a human being." You didn't know how long Yusei held you for but you didn't want him to let go. You pulled away, looking into Yusei's sapphire eyes as he wiped away the stray tears in your blurred eyes. What was this feeling in your heart?

Akiza, Crow and Jack were confused about Yusei's actions. It seemed like he needed to get out of the argument. They knew that Yusei was the type to speak his mind when he needs to. Akiza proposed, "Let's go find Yusei and ask him what happened." The two boys agreed with Akiza, who followed behind her as they went to find Yusei. They had come back inside to see you asleep in Yusei's lap, with Yusei gently stroking your hair, his eyes a soft cerulean. None of them had ever seen their friend like this before. It was a new sight.

Yusei heard someone clear their throat, he turned his head to see Crow, Jack and Akiza watching him. Yusei motioned them to sit down and asked, "What's up?" Akiza asked quietly, "Is she okay, Yusei?" Yusei responded, "She's fine. She just needed to let out some bottled emotions she kept in during the duel. Y/N cares about her loved ones a lot. She told me before that if anything happened to any of us, she would feel guilty and never forgive herself for it." Crow looked at your profile and said, "I think Y/N needs to rely on us a bit more. She doesn't have to go through this alone." Yusei looked at you before responding to Crow, "That's the thing. She says that she doesn't want to 'burden us with her problems'. I think you're right, Crow. For now, we should be keeping ourselves on the alert, just in case one of those shadow spirits finds one of us." They all nod. They didn't want a repeat of what happened during the Duelling Cup.

You could hear voices around you, causing you to stir. You heard someone say, "Shhh! I think she's waking up!" You rubbed your eyes, feeling them slowly open. The first thing you saw was Leo's face in front of yours. You were startled by the sudden sight, making you fall backwards. Luckily, Yusei was behind you and he caught you before you could fall. You groaned, "Leo was that really necessary?" Leo answered, "You wouldn't respond so this was the next best thing." That statement made Yusei laugh, which caused you to push him away from you. You had an idea, you kissed Yusei's cheek, which made him go beet red, causing everyone to giggle. You poked Yusei, "That's revenge for laughing at me." Yusei tried to catch you but you hid behind Akiza, who just shook her head at your childish antics.

You found yourself running from Yusei, not that you were scared of him or anything. Then again, you did make him blush. You could hear Yusei call out, "Y/N! Come out, come out wherever you are!" You quietly giggled to yourself. You were hidden behind a wall, with only footsteps separating you and Yusei. You thought the coast was clear, so you had come out of your hiding spot. You then felt yourself being pushed against a wall, wrists pinned beside your waist. You could feel someone breathe, "Found you." You were met with Yusei's baby blues as you felt your breath hitch. One hand was holding your waist while the other held your hand. Yusei whispers to you, "You're not the only sneaky one, you know." You then felt Yusei's hand caress your cheek as he held you close to him. Yusei said, "Y/N. I feel like I can let go of everything when I'm alone with you." You felt his nose sweetly brush against yours as he spoke. He gently kisses your cheek and forehead before letting you go. He took your hand and asked, "Want to go back to yours?" You slowly nod, feeling his hand hold yours. You could feel your heart racing and skipping a couple of beats.

You were both back at your own house after saying goodbye to everyone else. Your heart was still racing after Yusei spoke those sweet words to you. You then saw Yusei working on his runner, testing the engine. You saw how focused he was, so you decided to not disturb him. You sat in the kitchen, looking through an old book as you thought of Yusei. He is a kind and noble person. He always puts his friends before himself and he is calm when it came to a lot of situations. You were glad to have him as a friend but you felt like you both had a connection to each other somehow.

Yusei looked at his runner and thought about his friends from the Satellite. He wondered what they were up to, he missed them a lot. He built his runner with their help, he had used many spare parts to build the runner. He made a decision: he was going back to the Satellite to visit his friends. He decided that he would take you with him. He just had to ask you first.

Yusei found you in the kitchen, reading a book. He saw you look up and he gave you a small grin. He decided to ask, "Y/N, do you want to meet my old friends from Satellite?" You raised your eyebrow, "What made you make that decision?" You then realized, "You must miss them." He nodded. You gave him a smile, "I don't see why not. I'd love to meet your friends, Yusei." Yusei looked like he was going to jump with happiness. He kissed your cheek and said, "Thank you, Y/N." You added, "We're going first thing in the morning." You had just hoped that no shadow spirits would interfere with your trip.
