You and Yusei arrived at the warehouse a couple of hours later. You've felt a sense of alarm ever since you both dueled those shadow soldiers. You both walked up to the door, only for it to be opened, meeting with the eyes of Crow. Crow grinned, "Hey strangers!" You and Yusei smiled with glee. You both felt yourself being pushed down by two small figures. Leo spoke, "Y/N! Y/N! You came back!" You ruffled Leo's hair and replied, "Hello, Leo. How have you been?" Leo asked, "Can we duel soon, Y/N? I want to show you how strong I've gotten." Yusei interjected, "How about you and Y/N duel later, Leo?" Leo pouted but made no objections. You then went quiet and quickly left. "Y/N, wait!" You ignored the cries and pretended you did not hear anything.

Akiza asked, "What was that about?" Yusei answered, "I don't know but this is not like Y/N." Yusei added, "Apparently, we were duelling two shadow soldiers. They didn't seem that powerful but when we dueled them, they nearly destroyed us." Crow said, "Maybe Y/N is scared that the nightmare she told us about might come true." Yusei said, "I don't know Crow but that might be one possibility. The one thing I do know is that we have to find Y/N before another shadow soldier does." Everyone nodded. Yusei, Crow and Jack went one way towards the bakery. Akiza, Leo and Luna went another direction. They were all determined to find you.

You couldn't take it, the shadow soldiers and everything else. In a way, you felt like you couldn't do anything. You didn't want the nightmare to come true. What if it did though? Did it mean that you had to fight your own friends against your will? You were currently walking around, trying to clear your mind. There was too much going on at once, and you couldn't think straight. Could you really defeat these shadow spirits? All of these questions raced through your mind.

Crow, Jack and Yusei were still looking for you, with no success. Crow said, "I'm going to look this way. Maybe she went to see a friend." Jack added, "I'm going towards where Akiza went." Yusei nodded, "I'm going to keep looking this way. If you find anything, tell me right away." They both nodded.

You wanted to cry. You wanted to be strong but you knew that you couldn't do it. You felt your heart sink at the fact that you couldn't save your aunt and uncle. If you lost your friends to the shadow spirits, you didn't know what you would do. You then saw a cloaked figure and they asked, "Are you okay?" You felt scared but you felt a good aura around this person. He took down his hood and looked at you. He said, "I'm not going to hurt you. The name's Blister. Who are you?" You stammered, "Y-Y/N. I'm a friend of Yusei's." He raised an eyebrow, "Yusei?" He then said, "Come inside." You came into his house, feeling awkward. He asked, "So why are you wandering the streets alone?" You gave him a brief summary of what happened the past couple of weeks. You said, "These shadow spirits possess innocent people and turn them into their army. Kind of like soldiers. Yusei and I had to fight two of them this morning." You added, "I had never felt so scared before." Blister asked, "How do you know so much about this?" You exhaled, "I have the gift of speaking with spirits. It's kind of freaky but it's useful at times." You and Blister spoke until Blister froze. Blister said, "Someone's here."

Blister walked out of his house and was met by a familiar gaze. He spoke, "Oh hey Yusei." Yusei looked panicked as he spoke, "Blister, have you seen a girl walking down the streets?" Blister sighed, "Actually yeah. She's inside." Yusei breathed out, "Thank goodness. Is she okay?" Blister replied, "Just a bit shaken up but other than that, she's just fine." Yusei was so happy to see you that he almost tackled you.

You saw Blister come up with Yusei following behind him. You froze. You felt guilty, and you didn't know what to say to him. Before you could say anything, Yusei went up to you and embraced you tightly, not wanting to let go. Blister murmured, "I'm going to go out." You looked down, not wanting to see Yusei's face. He lifted your chin, his baby blues gazing into your (e/c) eyes and said, "Don't ever scare us like that, Y/N. We were all so worried something bad had happened to you." You felt your cheeks get wet, "I-I-I'm sorry." You clutched on to Yusei's chest as you sobbed with guilt. You felt him sigh, stroking your hair as you cried. After your crying session was over, you buried your head into Yusei's chest. Yusei looked at you once more, before embracing you with all his might. You felt a light sensation on your forehead. Yusei had gently kissed you there. You felt your cheeks flush with embarrassment, making Yusei laugh. You smacked him, flustered, "W-What w-was that for?!?" Yusei responded with serious yet gentle tone, "I wanted to make you feel better." You blushed once more. Yusei then added, "I'll let the others know that I found you." You nodded slowly, still feeling a sense of guilt.

You had both come back together, you were sitting behind Yusei as he drove. Yusei noticed how quiet you were and asked, "Why did you run away?" You hesitated but replied, "I just..I-I couldn't stop thinking about that nightmare. I didn't want to talk about it to anyone, I don't want to burden all of you with my problems. If it came true, I wouldn't know what to do." Yusei replied, "You're not being a burden to us, Y/N. We're your friends, we're here to help you. You can always talk to us if something's wrong." You said, "Thanks, Yusei." Yusei gave you a grin, going faster than before.

You both arrived at the warehouse. You hid behind Yusei, not wanting to see anyone. Yusei sighed, "Come on, Y/N. They're our friends, they won't bite us." Crow asked, "Did you find her, Yus?" You slowly peeked out from Yusei's back and saw Crow's eyes widen with relief. Before you could speak, everyone (including a stubborn Jack) tackled you into a hug. Akiza looked upset and she said, "Don't scare us like that. You had us all worried." Jack spoke next, "Yusei looked like he was going to have a heart attack when you disappeared." You turned to see Yusei's cheeks redden. Luna decided to speak next, "At least she's okay now. With that aside, shouldn't we all be getting ready for the duelling tournament? It's coming up soon." You finally broke the awkward silence, "I guess so. Besides, they announced that all the duels would be tag duels so we would have to partner up with someone." Everyone looked at you for a second, then you all looked at each other. You quietly said, "I'm kind of excited for it, to be honest."

You were all perfecting your techniques for the Duelling Cup (the duelling tournament). You were currently practicing with Leo, to make up for not dueling him. Leo said, "With Morphtronic Data-tron, you get dished with 600 points of damage." You replied, "Not if I play the Mirror Force trap card." Leo pouted, "Aw come on!" You giggled at Leo's childishness.

Crow and Yusei watched you duel Leo with a slight smile. Crow said, "She's finally smiling after all that." Yusei answered, "She must've been through a lot. When I found Y/N, she was with Blister. When she saw me, it's like she couldn't move." Yusei then added while watching you, "I think all the shadow spirit stuff is stressing her out. It's been the only thing on her mind ever since that light appeared." Crow asked, "Are you going to enter the Duelling Cup, Yusei?" Yusei shrugged, "I don't know yet. I haven't decided." Yusei sighed with uncertainty, "Its Y/N I'm worried about. She's good but I think she needs more practice. She isn't confident enough to duel in front of a thousand people, let alone dueling alone." Yusei kept looking at you as you began to tickle Leo, hearing him laugh happily.

You could feel someone looking at you as you tickled Leo. You saw Yusei looking at you, making him quickly look away. Leo looked at you, he then tackled you once more, making you squeal with surprise. Luna said, "Ok Leo. I think Y/N has had enough of tickling for one day." Leo pouted at his sister, who shook her head in response. Yusei said to Crow, "I think Y/N needs to be more confident in herself." Crow raised his eyebrow, "Why do you think that?" Yusei replied, "Well, I think that if she duels with someone, she doesn't want to let them down. For instance, when we dueled together, she kept asking me if I was okay." Akiza heard and came over. Akiza responded to Yusei, "I think that's just how Y/N is, Yusei. She doesn't want you to get hurt, she's the type of person that has the natural tendency to help someone when they need it. I think Y/N is afraid that she might have to hurt her friends in order to help the spirits." Akiza continued, "This shadow soldier thing could happen to any of us. We have to be careful." Yusei quickly objected, "That's the thing, Akiza. We won't know when it could happen. They could randomly take over our minds without us realizing it." Akiza was speechless, she didn't think that they would do something like that. She was scared of what would happen next.

******A week later******

The Duelling Cup was about another week or so away. You had been staring at your deck for the past twenty minutes, trying to figure out what cards to use. You ran your hands through your (h/c) (h/l) hair with frustration. You saw something set in front of your eyes, you looked up and saw Yusei smile. Yusei sat beside you and you laid your head on his shoulder. Yusei said, "Don't stress about it too much. You need to think clearly about this entire thing, Y/N." You sighed in response, "That's the thing! I don't know who I want as my partner yet, Yusei!" Yusei was the one to sigh, "Don't get me wrong, you're a good duelist but you need to be more confident in yourself." You answered, "You think so?" Yusei nodded. Yusei added, "I think that I will enter the Duelling Cup after all." You squealed, "Really?!" Yusei laughed at your reaction, making you laugh too.

You and Leo were outside together. You decided to give Leo his long awaited duel. Leo jumped with excitement, "I can't wait to duel you, Y/N!" you responded, "Let's give it everything we have." Leo began to speak, "Ladies and gentleman, the amazing Leo is about to duel one of his best friends for ultimate victory." Luna spoke from behind, "He likes to narrate his duels. Just to let you know." Leo continued, "Leo then summons Morphtronic Celfon in attack mode. Now with Celfon's ability, it dials and whatever number it lands on, I can reveal the same number of cards, if one of them is a monster, I can summon it." Leo added excitedly, "The dialling begins now! It's a two! Leo then summons Morphtronic Clocken in Attack mode. Then a Morph Token appears, making Clocken gain 500 Attack points." Clocken's points go up to 1100. Leo continues, "Now I can tribute this card to inflict 1000 points of direct damage to you." Clocken attacks and your LP goes down to 3000. You said, "Nicely played but it's my move! I draw!" You stopped and looked at your hand. Three monsters, a trap card and two spell cards. You added, "I summon Blue Dragon Summoner in Attack mode! I then place three face downs and end my turn. Your turn, Leo." Leo grins, "Im going to get Clocken to attack your Dragon Summoner!" Your LP goes down to 2600. You then said, "I activate Blue Dragon Summoner's ability! If it's destroyed, I can add a Dragon, Warrior or Spellcaster type monster from my deck to my hand." You then added a random card to your hand. Leo then says, "I activate the Gadget Box spell card! I can summon a gadget token once per turn." You thought to yourself, "Stay calm. I need to find a way to get rid of Celfon, Clocken and that gadget token." Leo says, "I end my turn." You thought once more, "It's now or never!" You closed your eyes and drew a card. You smiled. Akiza said to Yusei, "Something tells me that Y/N has something up her sleeve." Yusei watched quietly. You said, "I hope the amazing Leo is ready for some real action." Leo said, "Bring it on!" You continued, "I activate the spell card Sorcerous Spell Wall. Every monster I control gains 300 ATK points during my turns and 300 DEF points during your turns." You continued, "I discard one card from my hand to the grave in order to summon the Dark Eradicator Warlock. With its ability since I can inflict 1000 points of damage to you when you play a normal spell." You said, "Warlock attack Clocken! Dark Magic Hurricane!" Leo's LP goes to 2900. You then continued, "I activate Monster Reincarnation to bring back Dark Magician. I then activate the Trap card, A Hero Emerges. You choose a random card from my hand and if it's a monster, I can Special Summon it!" Leo picked the third card. You smirked to yourself, "Sorry Leo, you just picked a monster card." You showed him what it was. Leo said, "Ladies and gentleman-" You said, "Hey Leo! I hope the amazing Leo is ready to see this! I tune Dark Magician with the Arcane Apprentice in my hand! Now when Spellcasters combine, a new force is created! I Synchro Summon, Tempest Magician!" Tempest Magician gains 300 ATK due to Sorcerous Spell Wall. You said, "Hey Tempest Magician. Let's give Leo's Celfon a warm welcome with Dark Magic Mayhem!" Leo's LP goes down to 500. You added, "Now it's my Warlock's turn to attack!" Leo's LP goes down to 0. You then said, "That's the duel!" You walked towards Leo and said, "Good duel, Leo. It was great practice." Leo said, "You're so awesome!" You scratched the back of your neck, "W-Well I-I wouldn't say that." Leo responded, "Are you kidding?!? That monster you synchro summoned is awesome! You're not good, you're amazing!" You replied, "I appreciate the praise, but I still need a bit of practice. I'm not the best at everything, you know."

Leo, Luna, Jack, Crow and Akiza had gone back inside to relax. Yusei watched you wipe some sweat off of your forehead placed your deck back into your belt. Leo is a good duellist but you thought that he still needed some practice. You then felt a force send you flying, you laid on the ground. Yusei rushed to your side, "Are you okay?!?" You got up and brushed off the dirt, "I'm okay." Both you and Yusei saw something stand in front of the both of you. Both your marks began to glow, emitting a sharp pain throughout your arm. The shadow spirit cackled, "You think that you'll defeat us that easily mortal. My partner and I will meet you again at the Dueling Cup." They both disappeared, Yusei's arm stopped glowing but yours did not. Akiza ran outside, "What happened?" Yusei replied, "A shadow spirit appeared. Not only that, but Y/N's mark is still glowing." You said to Yusei, "I think the Crimson Dragon is trying to lead me somewhere." Yusei told Akiza to tell the others what was happening and that you all had to leave immediately. Leo and Luna rode with Jack on his runner. Akiza rode with Crow on his runner while you and Yusei got on your respective duel runners. You didn't know what was going to happen next.

The Crimson Dragon had led you all to an abandoned temple. You got off your runner and gazed at the sight in front of you. You didn't recognize this temple, it looked like something out of an old legend. Yusei and the others followed behind you. You all looked around for a clue, that is until everyone's marks began to glow (yours was still glowing from before). You felt your feet lead you somewhere, Jack calling out, "Hey! Wait for us!" Your feet stopped at a shrine, you tilted your head in confusion. Yusei was panting, "Y/N, don't run away like that." You murmured an apology. You then realized, "This temple is full of old carvings. Maybe this will shed some light on this whole situation." You then added, "I think I feel something." Luna said, "I think I feel that presence too." You continued, "There are three people here." You then saw your mother, father and a man with spiky hair, whom you didn't recognize. You whispered, "Please tell me I'm dreaming. Mother, Father?" Yusei's eyes widened as you spoke, "Father?" You looked at your parents as they spoke, "Y/N, the shadow spirits have taken control of innocent people and turned them into shadow soldiers." Before you could speak, Yusei said, "Y/N, the man that's beside your parents is my father." Your eyes widened, "Y-Your father?" You heard the spiky haired man laugh, "No need to be in shock, my dear. I think its time we get acquainted. My name is Dr.Fudo. I am Yusei's late father." You gulped and asked, "If you don't mind me asking, how did you um......pass?" Yusei looked at his father's spirit and spoke, "My father was the lead developer of the Ener-D reactor. Long story short, there was a large amount of negative energy that caused the Zero Reverse and killed everyone that was there at the time. He put me in a capsule and sent me to the Satellite." Your mother could see that you were speechless and spoke for you, "Please excuse my daughter, Dr. Fudo. She's just in a state of shock." You quietly spoke, "There is something that you need to know, Dr. Fudo. I-I think that you're very noble, um...you care deeply for Yusei and I think that you're very kind. E-Even though I'm speaking with you as you are a spirit." Dr. Fudo replied, "I should be thanking you." You stuttered, "T-Thanking m-me? W-Why?" Dr. Fudo answered, "I've been watching over you and my son for some time now. Thank you for helping him when he was hurt, if you never did, he would've become a spirit like me." You mumbled, "Its nothing really. I was just doing my best to help him." You then said, "Mother, Father there's been a strange presence around the light that appears. I think that whoever it is, somehow is connected to the shadow spirits. I may be wrong though." Dr. Fudo said, "We have been sensing something as well. Yusei, my son. You must figure out a way to stop them." Yusei looked like he was about to cry. You then add, "I had a nightmare several weeks ago. It seems too good to be true. Everyone except for Yusei and I become possessed by the shadow spirits." All three spirits looked at one another in concern. Your father spoke strictly, "Y/N you mustn't rush any of this. If you do then you might face severe consequences." Dr. Fudo nods, "Your father is right. These shadow spirits show no mercy towards the innocent." Akiza spoke from behind, "How do we protect ourselves from becoming possessed?" Suddenly, something hit you square on the shoulder, making you fall backwards.

You no longer felt the presence of your parents or Dr. Fudo. You all saw seven pillars emerge, all of them began to glow with a bright luminesce. Yusei walked towards the first pillar, everyone else followed suit. You quietly got up and saw a carving on each of the pillars. They were the marks of the Crimson Dragon! You felt another spirit, a good one but it wasn't your parents. You spoke, "Everyone. Look at the carvings on each of the pillars." Everyone looked shocked. Yusei started, "This mark-" Akiza finished his sentence, "Is the mark of the Crimson Dragon." Both yours and Yusei's talismans began to glow. Everyone's decks began to react as well. Jack said, "What's happening to our decks?" One card emerged from each of your decks. Stardust Dragon, Black Rose Dragon, Black Winged Dragon, Red Dragon Archfiend, Ancient Fairy Dragon, Power Tool Dragon and Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon. You then felt yourself being pulled towards the pillar. Luna yelled, "Y/N!" You placed the card on the pillar and heard something speak, "Help us." You were startled. Yusei asked, "Did you hear that?" You nodded. Everyone put their dragons on the pillar, hearing the same thing. Luna asked her dragon (who appeared in spirit), "What is it, Ancient Fairy Dragon?" The spirit spoke, "Luna, the shadow spirits are getting closer to possessing
