The nine of you (including Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl) were trying to figure out how the bright lumination was part of the spirits' disappearance and what would awaken from the stolen spirits. You felt frustrated, "Why is this so hard to figure out?!?" You laid on the grass and sighed with annoyance. You stared at your arm and said, "Out of all people, why me? Why do I have the left wing of that dragon on my arm?" Yusei could tell that you were frustrated, but he had never seen you like this before. He sat beside you and said, "I know you want to find out who or what the cause of this is, Y/N but getting frustrated won't help." You sighed, "I guess you're right. It's not just that, I was just wondering why the Crimson Dragon gave me the mark of its left wing. It doesn't make sense." Yusei answered with uncertainty, "The Crimson Dragon chooses people it thinks is worthy of having its mark. Maybe it chose you out of coincidence." You shrugged and felt the wind caress your hair.

You suddenly felt your mark burn with pain. Yusei gave you a look of concern. You said, "Something isn't right. Something's coming and it's coming fast. Get the others, NOW!" Yusei ran to get the others like you asked. It was just you and your spirit friends. The evil spirit cackled, "Fools! You think that this will come and go? After all the spirits are absorbed, the Great One will awaken! No one can stop it, not even a mortal girl like you." The spirit faded, cackling as it went.

Yusei came back with everyone and you felt a sense of uncertainty take over. Dark Magician said, "You all just missed it." You added, "The voice from before came back and said something about 'awakening the Great One'. The spirits aren't disappearing, they're being absorbed somehow." Akiza asked with confusion, "What do you mean? Can't it be reversed?" Dark Magician Girl answered, "That's the problem. We don't know who or what is doing it." She added, "I think that you should all go back to your own world. We can't communicate normally but we can communicate through Y/N." Dark Magician nodded, "Lady Y/N is not the only way. Your friend Luna can also help us. If she is willing to." Luna said with determination, "If it helps you in any way, I'd be happy to help." You nodded, "Thank you, Luna." "Hopefully, we can figure this out soon.", you thought.

You wanted to know more about that light but decided against it. You felt annoyed at the fact that you couldn't help the spirits protect themselves from whatever was absorbing them and making them vanish.

It had been a couple of hours later, you were back in your bedroom at home, thinking of what had happened today. There was only one person you could think about right now. Yusei Fudo. You didn't understand why he wanted to risk his life for something that was not his problem. Sure he wanted to help, but you didn't want him to get hurt by something more powerful than the Crimson Dragon. You thought it was anyway.

Akiza felt a sense of anxiety overwhelm her mind. Not only was there a new threat, but it was one that no one could spot. She stared at her mark and thought back to what had happened in the spirit world. When everyone had discovered that you were a Signer, it had stunned Akiza the most. She felt her mark glow with urgency, quickly sensing that something was coming. Akiza raced out of the warehouse, finding everyone else staring at the sky again.

The sky was shining with a scarlet hue, something was coming and it seemed very angry. You were slightly panicking, running out to see what was going on, with Y/AN and Y/UN following behind you. Your Signer mark began to glow brightly with menace. Y/AN and Y/UN suddenly screamed, as they disappeared right in front of you. You screamed, "NO! COME BACK!" You then heard someone laughing evilly and the voice said, "It's too late, mortal. Their spirits are now given to the Great One!" You were angry and you asked, "Why do you need human spirits?!? Aren't duel monster spirits enough?!?" The voice answered, "It doesn't matter what type of spirit it is, as long as it's fed to the Great One, no one will stop it." The voice faded away, leaving you feeling helpless. You collapsed, crying at the fact that you couldn't save them. You screamed, "NO!!!!"

Yusei heard a scream and asked, "Did you hear that?" Akiza answered, "It sounded like someone screaming." Before Akiza could continue, Yusei grabbed his runner and drove away. Akiza shook her head, "He's always quick to take action."

Yusei drove as fast as he could to the source of the scream. He stopped when he saw you on your knees, sobbing. Yusei ran up to you and comforted you, "Shhh. I'm right here, Y/N. Let me take you back to the warehouse." You nodded, sniffing slightly. You wanted to cry again, but couldn't because of how distraught you felt.

Yusei walked in with you, as you cried quietly. Crow was the first one to see you in your current state, his eyes widening. Crow raced to your side and brought you to a couch. Akiza followed Crow, and sat beside you, trying to calm you down. She asked gently, "What happened, Y/N? What's wrong?" You sniffed again and answered, "That voice came back. My aunt and uncle's spirits got absorbed in that light." You cried, "It's all my fault!" You began to sniff and felt Akiza hug you gently. You then began to feel your eyes close with sleepiness. Akiza whispered, "Here, Y/N. Just sleep here, we'll wake you up if anything happens." You nodded slightly, feeling your eyes close with sleepiness.

Yusei sat in front of you as you slept, fists clenched with anger. Akiza sat beside him and said, "Poor thing. She seems so upset." Yusei responded while stroking your hand, "It seems like wherever we are Akiza, we end up getting innocent people involved in our mess." Akiza answered, "I'm going to make her some tea to calm her down." Yusei nodded and watched Akiza disappear.

You felt your hand being stroked gently as you slept. You felt your eyes flutter open and you groaned. You saw Yusei sitting in front of you and he asked, "How are you feeling?" You shook your head and felt him hug you tightly. You then saw Akiza come back with three teacups, setting the tray in front of you. She handed you a cup and said,"I made you some tea to help you relax." You murmured a small "thank you" and took a small sip, setting the cup down. You then said, "Thank you for the tea, Akiza. I'm going to go get some fresh air." You excused yourself from the living space and went outside.

You felt yourself sigh with sadness. You felt the wind get stronger as you stared out into space. You felt your cheeks get wet again, you didn't realize you were crying until you had touched your cheek with your hand. You didn't want to feel weak, you had to be strong. You then saw two spirits in front of you. You heard them say, "Y/N, darling. Please don't cry. Your dad and I need you to help us." You stuttered, "M-M-Mom? I-is that you?" Your mom smiled, "You've grown up to be such a beautiful girl, Y/N." Your dad said, "My little girl is all grown up now. Stay strong my little warrior." Your mother said, "I know that losing your aunt and uncle is hard but stay strong for their sake." Your father then spoke seriously, "Y/N, the beast that voice was talking about is extremely dangerous. It has enough power to destroy the Satellite and New Domino City. It feeds off of spirits in order for it to grow stronger. It feeds off of all the anger and sadness." Your mother added, "My darling daughter, I'm sorry that we had to meet this way." You asked, sniffing slightly, "How did you get absorbed by it?" Before your mother could answer, she said, "My darling, we have to go. We'll speak again soon. Just know that we love you." You whispered, "Mom. Dad."

Crow watched you draw little pictures on the window. Jack was beside him and asked, "Why can't she move on?" Crow punched his side and answered, "She just lost her relatives. Give her a break, Jack." Jack sighed, "I guess you're right."

As you were looking out the window, you felt the window become blurry and saw spots in your vision. You then felt yourself drop onto the floor, your world fading into the dark. While you were knocked out cold you felt something lift you up and place you onto a soft surface. You heard two voices talking as you "slept". The first one said, "Who's the girl?" The second one responded, "Come on, Trudge. Leave her be." You slowly opened your eyes and asked, "What's going on?" Your eyes slowly adjusted to see everyone including new a tall man, staring at you. Yusei was the first one you saw. He sat beside you and asked , "How are you feeling?" He placed his hand on your forehead and said, "You don't have a fever. Most of the colour has come back to your face." The tall man then cleared his throat and he spoke, "I think I should introduce myself to your friend here. I'm Vice Chief Trudge. I work in the Special Investigations Unit of Sector Security. Is it okay if I ask you some questions?" You nodded and he spoke once more, "Where were you when the bright light appeared in the sky this afternoon?"

You felt someone's hand being placed over yours, Yusei nodding and his eyes saying, "It's okay. You can trust him." You spoke nervously, "I was at my aunt and uncle's bakery. When we went out, the light got even brighter and I saw both of them disappear right in front of me. I thought it was an illusion and I heard a voice say, 'It's too late, mortal. Their spirits are now given to the Great One. It doesn't matter what type of spirit it is, as long as it is fed to the Great One, no one will stop it.' It's like it was talking about some kind of creature that feeds off of anger and sadness." Trudge said, "I don't believe you. How do you know all of this?" You answered, "My parents told me." Yusei said with shock, "YOUR PARENTS?!?" You nodded and continued, "Trust me, I was shocked too. According to them, the creature is very dangerous. It even has the power to wipe out the Satellite and New Domino City. The more anger and sadness there is, the stronger it will become." Jack was the first one to speak, "If it has the power to wipe out both Satellite and New Domino City, why can't we just attack it head on?" You answered with a grave tone, "If we did that then you'd just get absorbed by that light, Jack. We can't make a move until we find out where that light is coming from." You added, "It's way too risky and I don't want anyone else to disappear because of it."

Trudge looked frustrated, "How are we supposed to track something we can't even see? That light could appear anywhere and none of would know what to do." Before you could answer, Akiza was the next to speak, "We can't know for sure but I have a bad feeling about what's going to happen next." You had to agree with what Akiza said, something about this entire thing left a bad taste in your mouth.

You didn't want to think about the spirits but you couldn't help it. Your own parents even asked you to help them in some way. 'Something about this seems a bit off', you thought to yourself. You looked around, seeing that it was already late at night, you decided you would resume this in the morning. Or so you thought at the time.

You were in a world, one that seemed unfamiliar to you. You were running from something, you didn't know what it was though. All your friends were in front of the bright lumination that wreaked havoc on both cities, you tried telling them to run but you found yourself voiceless. They weren't running though, they seemed like they were being taken over by something. The only one that seemed alright was Yusei. You and Yusei were trying to get away from there as quick as possible. You then saw two figures laugh evilly and say in unison, "You will never be able to stop the Great One. It is unstoppable! Not even your most powerful duel monsters can defeat it!"

You were now watching the beast as it emerged from the light. You gasped at how large it was and how much power it possessed. The voices then said, "Now our soldiers will fight with them." You saw Akiza, Jack, Crow and the twins holding their duel disks. You said, "What have you done to them?!?" They cackled, "We've introduced them to the shadows." Yusei then said, "Y/N we can't let them get to us. We have to fight." They came closer-

You then bolted up, covered in sweat. 'What was that?', you thought. It was still dark outside, Yusei's sleeping figure was beside you and you shook him to wake him up. You whispered, "Yusei. Yusei, wake up." Yusei quietly groaned, "Come on, Y/N, it's the middle of the night." You grabbed his hand and quietly dragged him outside. You spoke quietly, not wanting the others to wake, "I just had a nightmare and it seemed too real." Yusei rubbed his eyes, "What was it about?" You answered, "I was running from something and everyone seemed like they were possessed. Well, everyone except you, Yusei." Yusei asked, "What do you mean 'except me'?" You continued, "Well they seemed like they had some kind of spirit taking over their minds. There were two voices talking about that creature again. They said that not even out strongest monsters would be able to defeat them. Everyone else had duel disks and they looked like they were going to duel us but for the wrong reasons." You pulled out something from your pocket and Yusei asked, "What is that exactly?" You stayed silent and put it around Yusei's neck. You then answered, "It's a special talisman. It will protect you from the shadow spirits. The ones that possess the human mind by force and manipulation." You continued, "The dragon on this particular one represents strength, power and good luck. I think it's perfect for you, Yusei."

Yusei looked at you, then at the talisman. He asked, "How is this going to protect me?" You said, "The dragon is a wise creature. If you're ever in trouble, this will react with the spirit of your Stardust Dragon. Your dragon will protect you from harms way and you won't be possessed by the shadow spirits." Yusei looked confused, "How do you know so much about this, Y/N?" You showed him your talisman. It was a star covered with a charm shaped like a magician that had a blue jewel in the centre. His eyes widened and he gently touched the necklace.

You had both quietly snuck in and you felt Yusei hold you close. Your heart began to race like you were running a marathon. Yusei whispered, "We'll find a way, Y/N. I'll protect you and I won't let those voices get to you. If they want to hurt my friends, they'll have to go through the both of us first." You whispered, "Yusei. Thank you." You then felt a light sensation on your cheek. You realized that Yusei had kissed your cheek. You could feel yourself blush and looked down. Yusei took your hand and said, "Hey. Don't look so down. You look better when you smile." You blushed again. Yusei took your hand and led you back to your "bed". You whispered to the blue eyed Satellite, "I'm thinking of going back home tomorrow." Yusei responded, "I don't think that you should go back alone. It's too dangerous right now." You looked at him and said, "Yusei Fudo are you suggesting that you want to keep me company?" You saw his cheeks redden, making you giggle quietly. He responded with a flustered tone, "I-I w-was just looking out for you." You giggled again, "Calm down. I'm just teasing, Yusei." You felt Yusei touch your cheek, you breathing getting faster and faster as he did so. Yusei smiled and whispered, "Good night, Y/N." You said, "Goodnight." You laid back down on your "bed" and watched Yusei climb back into his own bed. You stared up at the ceiling and lightly touched your cheek. You began to blush harder when you thought back to Yusei kissing your cheek. 'He kissed me!', you thought to yourself. You kept thinking of the past conversations you've had with Yusei. You've talked to him more than anyone else. When you were never expecting it, he hugs you to comfort or just make you feel better. You remembered how you met Crow, Jack and Yusei. The damaged runner, the unconscious Yusei and how badly injured he was. When you were fixing his runner, you took care of it, making sure it wasn't badly damaged. You were glad that you helped them that day. Your heart went warm at the memories of how you met. You had just hoped that they would not be tainted by darkness.
