The next morning, you had woken up early to start making breakfast. You thought of the conversation you had with Yusei the other night, he seemed like a good person. You suddenly heard a crash upstairs, thinking it's something bad, you ran up the stairs. You saw Yusei on the floor and saw his friends laughing at him. You put out your hand and helped Yusei up. You saw that he was blushing, and you couldn't help but laugh. Yusei pulled on your arm and you fell on your behind. Yusei smirked, "That's payback for laughing at me, Y/N!" You blushed and mumbled, "I'm going to get breakfast ready!" Yusei tried calling after you, "Y/N!" You didn't hear him though.

After you had left, Yusei glared at Jack and Crow, who just kept laughing at him. Crow then realized something, "We should ask Y/N if she wants to duel one of us." Yusei shook his head, "We just met her, Crow. We can't ask her to do that." The boys heard another crash and raced down the stairs. What was that sound?, they thought.

You had been trying to reach for something on the top shelf. You mumbled to yourself, "Why do have to be (Y/H)? Why can't I be a bit taller than that?" You thought of when Yusei pulled your arm and you had fallen beside him. You blushed at the thought. Suddenly, the bakery door slammed open and you saw three people rush in. Before you could say anything, Yusei, Crow and Jack arrived. Crow said, "Akiza, Leo, Luna. What are you doing here?" The red haired girl answered, "We got worried since you never came back last night." You were about to speak up when Yusei spoke instead, "We were on our runners last night when there was a massive explosion." Crow continued, "We weren't all badly injured but Yusei was knocked out cold." Crow looked at you as he spoke, "We ran into this girl as we were looking for Yusei. She brought us back here to treat our injuries and fix Yusei's duel runner." You spoke timidly, "I just wanted to help out. I would never leave a fellow duellist alone when they're badly hurt. I smelled smoke while I was driving and I knew something was wrong." The aqua haired girl sighed in relief, "Thanks for taking care of Yusei. My name's Luna by the way." She pointed to the boy beside her, "This my brother Leo. The girl beside Leo is Akiza." The red haired girl, Akiza asked, "So who are you?" You answered quietly, "My name is Y/N. Y/N L/N." You added, "I should be getting back to the kitchen. Excuse me." You ran off as fast as you could.

Ancient Fairy Dragon appeared by Luna's side and said, "Luna." She answered, "What is it, Ancient Fairy Dragon?" She replied, "The girl you met has the same gift as you, my dear. She speaks with Spellcaster spirits." Akiza interjected, "What is it, Luna?" Luna spoke, "Ancient Fairy Dragon is telling me that Y/N can see spirits like I can. She mostly speaks with Spellcasters." Jack remembered, "When we were first talking with her I thought I heard her mumble something with Dark Magician in it." Yusei didn't want to say anything, he was thinking that he should ask you first.

Akiza was trying to find out where you had disappeared off to. She saw a glimpse of your hair and watched you for a little bit. You were startled, almost falling, when you saw Akiza. Akiza caught you before you fell, for the third time, you added mentally. You thought that Akiza didn't like you, just from her aura. Akiza's chocolate orbs stared into yours with doubt. She finally broke the silence, "What really happened last night?" You sighed and told her what happened. From when you went on your evening drive to when you heard the explosion and to how Yusei was badly injured. You added, "The explosion was random though. There are never any explosions in this part of town. I think that someone is targeting your friend." Akiza asked, "Why do you think that?" You shrugged, "I guess it's a hunch. I tend to overthink things a lot. I don't know. Maybe I'm just worried about him. Yusei, I mean." You then asked, "How did you find the bakery anyway?" Akiza answered calmly, "Crow must have called and told us. We were worried." Akiza asked, "Want some help?" You nodded gratefully, "You don't mind?" Akiza shook her head, "No and to be honest I want to get to know you." You smiled, "Alright." You decided to tell Akiza, "Hey Akiza? I need to tell you something." She looked at you with concern, you said quickly, "It's nothing bad." You then said, "I can see duel monster spirits like Dark Magician and Black Rose Dragon. I always thought it was some kind of curse but it helped me when these thieves were trying to take over my aunt and uncle's bakery."

Flashback

You were serving your usual customers when suddenly, the door was almost broken in half due to a mysterious force. Then you saw them, the thieves everyone was talking about. You had recently found out that you could talk to spirits. You thought to yourself, "What do I do?!?" You went up to them and said, "Leave now!" The thieves laughed and said, "Duel us!" You said, "If that's what will get you to leave then bring it on!" The thief said, "If you win, we'll leave but if we win, the bakery is ours!"

***Thirty minutes later***

Your life points were at 50 and the thieves had almost triple what you had. You said, "Hey, Dark Magician Girl? Let's show them what happens when they try to hurt (Y/AN) and (Y/UN)! Dark Magic Attack!" Their life points went down to zero and you then added, "That's what happens when you mess with me and my Spellcasters." The thieves, according to your aunt and uncle were caught several days later. Your aunt exclaimed, "Wow, honey! I didn't know that you could duel so well like that!" You answered, "I guess I went a bit overboard."

Flashback over

Akiza asked, "Wait. So what did they tell you? The thieves, I mean." You answered sadly, "They wanted to turn the bakery into their hideout and kill my relatives." You continued, "They said that if I wanted to save Y/AN and Y/UN, then I had to duel them. I had never been so scared until that day."

Yusei was wondering what was taking you so long but hid when he heard your's and Akiza's voices. He then heard you say, "I can see duel monster spirits like Dark Magician and Black Rose Dragon. I always thought it was some kind of curse but it helped me when these thieves were trying to take over my aunt and uncle's bakery." Yusei heard you continue, "They said that if I wanted to save Y/AN and Y/UN, then I had to duel them. I had never been so scared until that day." Crow came up beside him and Yusei signalled him to keep quiet. He then heard you add, "Even though that was the first duel I won, I had still been afraid of being myself and being afraid of what other people think of me." Yusei whispered sadly, "Y/N." Crow then tripped and fell on top of Yusei.

As you spoke with Akiza, you thought you saw two people peeking behind the wall. You went closer to investigate, there you found Crow and Yusei groaning in pain. Akiza followed your footsteps and laughed at the sight. Yusei's cheeks were a bright crimson when he pushed his friend off of him. Yusei then asked, "Hey, Y/N? Can we talk alone?" You looked at Akiza and she nodded.

Yusei led you to a quiet place and suddenly embraced you. You felt your heart race and your cheeks turn as red as a cherry. Yusei looked at you, ocean eyes filled with sadness and said, "I overheard you talking with Akiza. Why didn't you tell me about the thieves?" You sighed, "It was a long time ago and I didn't want to burden you with the past." He looked at you and said, "I care about you, Y/N." Yusei took your hand and asked, "Want to go for a drive?" You smiled, "That depends. Are we both taking our runners or are taking yours?" Yusei said, "You finally smiled." You said, "What do you mean?" Yusei answered, "You seemed so tense before. So I wanted to get your mind off of things." You added, "Let's go. I don't think they'll miss us too much." Yusei laughed at your silliness. 

You both went on your duel runners and felt something approach the both of you. You said, "Yusei, something or someone is coming up from behind." You then heard your duel runner say, "Unknown runner approaching from behind." You heard two voices say, "We meet again, little brat."
