********Three months later********

It had been three months since you had seen Yusei. Since then, you had gotten out of the hospital and you were fully recovered. Where was Yusei? Did he forget you?

It was a normal day at L/N bakery, well you thought it was anyway. You were packing some sweets that someone had ordered earlier and gave the customer their change. You went on to bake several other items and put them in the display case in the front. You missed Yusei a lot. You wondered what he was doing, and what he was thinking about. Your mom notices the dazed look on your face and asks, "Are you alright, hun?'' You quietly say, "It's nothing. Just spacing out, I guess." More like spacing out over Yusei. Your mom said, "Go up to you room and rest, honey. We can take care of everything here." You thank her and go up to your bedroom. You flop on to the bed, staring at the ceiling in the process. Three months without Yusei was like torture to you. You knew that he had been busy, but you wouldn't think that he would be this busy. Oh well, you guessed that it would be a while longer until you saw your sapphire eyed boyfriend.

Yusei, Crow and Jack were staring at your duel runner. Yusei had the idea of modifying your duel runner, since it was almost destroyed by the blast from before. He hadn't seen you in three months and he was desperate to hear your voice or at least see your face. The modification of the runner kept him from doing so. Yusei told himself, "Just a bit longer and then I can see you, darling." Crow pointed out, "Uh Yusei, you've turning the same bolt for the past ten minutes." Yusei looked at his hands and said, "Oh. I guess I've been spacing out." Jack added, "I swear you and Y/N are so similar. It's kind of scary." Crow chimes in, "Great minds think alike, or at least in your case Yusei, you both think the same thing without realizing it." Jack asked, "Why are we even doing this?'' Crow answers, "Probably because Yusei wants to surprise Y/N somehow. Then again, it has been three months since she was admitted into the hospital. She's probably been released by now. I'm sure Y/N wants to see Yusei as much as Yusei wants to see her."

You kept staring at the ceiling for about an hour now, your thoughts clouded with the thought of seeing him again. You kept thinking of what you heard Yusei tell you back at the hospital. "There's so much I want to say to you. Thank you for everything you've done for all of us. Thank you for being so considerate about everything and everyone. I think that's all I can think of right now." Yusei. You wanted to hear him, hold him or at least see his face. You stare at your dresser, debating whether or not you should change into something else. Your heart raced at the thought of seeing Yusei again, it was like he was something that intoxicated your mind 24/7. He made you go crazy, in a good way of course. What was he going to say when he saw you? You stared at yourself in the mirror. A magenta dress adorned your body, and you felt like you were about to scream with happiness.

You went downstairs, expecting to see someone downstairs to greet you, but were disappointed when you were greeted with silence instead. You saw a note on the coffee table, "Went out for a couple of hours, won't be back until later. Love you, mom." You hear something outside, your feet leading you out to the back of the bakery. You saw your duel runner laying in the middle of the yard. What was it doing there? It looked different though. You hear someone ask, "Do you like it?" You turned around, your eyes filled with tears when you saw who it was. Yusei. You ran to him, prompting him to spin you around in happiness. Yusei held you and his eyes sparkling with glee. Yusei hugs you and remarks, "God, I missed you. I'm sorry about not visiting you in the hospital, I wanted to surprise you." Yusei wipes away your tears and hears you say, "Please tell me that I'm dreaming." Yusei awed at your reaction, "You're not dreaming, Y/N. It's really me." He touches your cheek and brings you into an embrace. You heard him tell you, "You make me so happy, Y/N." Yusei's baby blue eyes melted into yours, making you turn away in embarrassment. He lifted your chin and said, "Hey now, look at me." His lips sweetly pressed onto your own. He pulled away, kissing your forehead with equal sweetness.

You feel Yusei pull your hand, leading you to your newly modified runner. Yusei asked, "What do you think?" He hugs your from behind, nuzzling his cheek with your own. You were amazed at what he had done. Your runner was now a dark shade of silver, there was an extra compartment in the back that had two helmets in it, two wings were attached to the side and you saw a small mural of a dragon surrounded with several rose-like vines. You were stunned at the transformation. You exclaim, "Yusei, this is amazing!" You ask, "Did Jack and Crow help you?'' Yusei answers, "Yeah they did. The dragon mural was Jack's idea and Crow added the wings. He thought that you would need them for something." You kiss his cheek, "Thank you, Yusei. I absolutely love it!" Yusei gives you a grin and then says, "You look so beautiful." Your cheeks turn pink and you respond, "You always have a way with words, Yusei." You ask, "What else did you do to it?" Yusei replies, "Well, we made the engine run a bit smoother than before and we made sure that everything else was okay." Yusei asks, "Want to test it?" Your eyes sparkled with curiosity, "Can I?'' Yusei laughed, "I can tell from that face that you're excited." Yusei adds, "Let's go visit Leo and Luna." You nod, "I haven't seen them in a long time." You both get on your runners and head to the twins' apartment complex in the Tops.

Luna and Leo were sitting in the living room, bored out of their minds. Luna asked, "Leo, haven't you been staring at your duel disk for the past twenty minutes?" Leo moaned, "I'm bored, Luna!" Luna heard someone knocking on the door, she went to see who it was by checking the peep hole. Her eyes widen with happiness, "Leo! Yusei and Y/N are here!" Luna opened the door to greet you both. You greet her with a small smile, "Hello Luna, hi Leo." Leo and Luna tackle you to the ground, making you giggle. You respond, "Woah now! It's only been three months you two, not three years." You mess up their hair and ask, "How have you been?'' Luna responds, "We should be asking you that. You were in the hospital for a long time." You answer, "I'm okay now. I'm healthy and fully recovered." Leo asked you, "Are you and Yusei ready for the Duelling Cup match with that other team?" You look at Yusei, who responds, "We're almost there. We still have a few things to figure out." Luna expressed, "That other team is super powerful, so be careful." Yusei reassured her, "We'll be careful, we promise." You spoke with excitement, "You should see my duel runner!" Luna gave you a puzzled look, "Why? What happened?" You respond with a 'you'll see'. You drag them outside and show them the newly modified duel runner. Leo was fascinated, "That's so cool! It looks so different." Luna saw the mural, "That looks like your dragon, Y/N!" You answer, "According to Yusei, he, Crow and Jack modified it for me." You add, "To be honest, I thought that I was imagining things when I saw Yusei. I thought that I was in some kind of dream." Yusei chimes in, "I wanted to surprise her and my plan had worked." You had left Tops about an hour later, with Yusei following behind.

You were about to drive to the front of the bakery, but Yusei said, "Can we make a detour?" You were about to ask but Yusei then adds, "Just trust me, Y/N." He continued, "If you want, you can ride on the back of my runner.'' You smile, "I'd love to. Besides, it has been a while since we both rode on your duel runner." You leave your duel runner in front of the bakery, your heart racing. Yusei hands you the extra helmet and says, "Hold on tight." You hold on to Yusei as he revved up his runner. Yusei asks, "You okay?" You respond, "I'm fine, Yusei." You feel Yusei stop after about ten minutes, prompting you to ask, "Yusei, what's going on?" Yusei answers, "I need you to close your eyes." You close your eyes and remark, "You're planning something, aren't you?" You feel Yusei take your hand as he responded, "You'll understand when we get there, darling." You approach something but then feel yourself nearly stumble. You squeal and realize that Yusei had picked you up. You scream out, "Yusei!" Yusei answers, "You can open your eyes now, Y/N." You slowly open your eyes and recognize where you were. It was the flower field where Yusei had confessed his love to you and stole your first kiss.

Yusei asks, "Do you remember this place?" You smile at the memory, "This is where you first told me you loved me." Yusei adds, "This is where I first kissed you too." He placed you down on the ground, putting himself beside you. He brushed his nose against yours, making you bite your lip. Yusei was about to kiss you but then you feel him fall on top of you. You both burst out laughing at what had just happened. You feel your heart melt when you look into Yusei's eyes, he kisses you sweetly as you both laid in the field of flowers. Your breath hitches when Yusei's body hovers over yours, you were surprised when Yusei had kissed you again. The kiss was something that you had never felt before. Yusei smirks, "I can feel your heart racing." You respond in a flustered tone, "Y-You c-caught me by surprise. You're usually gentle when it comes to kisses and romantic stuff." Yusei raises his eyebrows, "Aren't I usually like that?" You blush, "You know what I mean, Yusei!" Yusei chuckled, "I know. I just like seeing your reactions." You smack his chest, "You're so mean! You make me go crazy!" You lay on Yusei's shoulder and hear him reply, "I would say the same thing about you. You're like an addiction to me." You were speechless and didn't respond. Yusei just held your hand as you laid with him.

You pick at a flower that you had seen on the ground earlier, it's colour reminding you of Yusei's eyes. For the first time, you felt like you didn't have to hide your feelings towards Yusei. You thought that Yusei loved Akiza, so you had kept quiet about your true feelings towards him. It was when you saw how he spoke to Akiza, that made you realize that he only saw her as a friend. Whenever you spoke to him, it was like a volcano had erupted with something that you had never felt before. When Yusei was with everyone else he was one person but when you were alone together, it was like he switched personalities or even turned into a different person entirely. You didn't mind though, it just made you fall deeper in love with him. The day he had brought you to this flower field changed everything. Yusei told you how he really felt about you and you were happy inside. You still had a cloud of doubt inside your heart though.

You quietly ask, "Yusei? What do you think of Akiza?" Yusei gave you a puzzled look, "Why do you ask?" You shake your head, "No, never mind. It's nothing." Yusei said, "Something's up if you're suddenly bringing up Akiza into this conversation. What's wrong?" You sigh, "I was just thinking of what would happen if you liked Akiza instead." He gave you a weird look, "Since when did you think that I like Akiza?" You respond, "Well, I don't know. I guess it's because you're really close with her and she really likes you." Yusei responds, "So you're thinking that if I told Akiza how I feel instead of telling you, that I would be happier?" Yusei tilted your chin up to meet his eyes, "Akiza isn't you though, Y/N. Even if I told Akiza the same thing, she would look at me like I was crazy or something. Besides, even if I told Akiza how I feel about her, she wouldn't return those feelings. Even if we hadn't met the way we did, we would still meet somehow and I would still feel the same way I do now." Yusei adds, "You're the only one I love. You make me so happy. You always seem to make my heart race somehow, without even realizing it. Y/N, you're the only one who can make me feel this way." He gave you a passionate yet very gentle kiss. As Yusei pulled away, he continued, "You'll always be the one on my mind." He admits, "When we were modifying your duel runner, Jack and Crow were saying how I was always spacing out just like you when I was deep in thought." You giggle, "Old habits die hard, I guess." Those words he spoke to you made you want to melt with happiness.

The only thing you knew though was that Yusei would always love you, no matter the situation and no matter the cause at hand.
