Alex was processing on what happened to him while staring at his palm written of the name Mitsuha. Alex then looked down on his body surprising him.

Alex: Wha-? Wha-? I'm already dressed!? And (sniffs) I wore these yesterday!?

Alex later looked at his phone seeing a text message with Prez and a notification of his photo gallery, also his salary spending.

Alex: Huh!? What the hell is going on!?

Comic: So you guys wanna go to the cafe again?

Alex: No, no cafes! What the heck happened to me yesterday?

Diplomat: Why are you asking? Yesterday you told the three of us that you forgotten how to fly.

Alex: What? I would never forget how to fly!

Alex became confused as he shuts his radio off and flew out of formation to land back at base.

Comic: He's acting normal today.

Prez: Yesterday he was kind of adorable.

Diplomat/Comic: Wha...

Meanwhile for Mitsuha she was in confusion of finding marker writing on her palm and left arm, as her sliding door opens and her sister speaks.

Yotsuha: So you're not touching' your boobs today? Breakfast time! Get a move on!

Mitsuha later went to school as she says morning to her homeroom that caused all of her classmates to have their attention on her, which surprised her and was wondering what's going on as she head to her desk.

Sayaka: Well since after what you pulled back there on yesterday, they can't help it.

On yesterday during in art class some students were gossiping offensive things about Mitsuha, of about the town's election or something.

Both Alex and Mitsuha started of having their bodies switched, and to really know that it's their second time. With Alex face palming and dragging his hands down on his face while Mitsuha cautious of what's below her.

Mitsuha: I'm beginning to get what's going on. Alex is a young adult living in Tokyo and his job is a pilot in the defense force.

Alex: My guess is that me and Mitsuha switch at random on each day in a week, one if it's tomorrow it happens then the next day we're back to our original bodies so this is going to be a long day.
And Two the trigger is based on: sleep, the cause: unknown.

Mitsuha: Our memories of the switch fade as soon as we wake up.

Alex: In so it's based on the one who experienced in their place, but it's definitely true that we're switching places.
The people around us makes that pretty obvious that the events happened.

Later for Alex he was playing basketball but instead of getting close up and personal to the hoop, he just throws the ball in which it went in. He then left as he shrugs with his arms.

Mitsuha: Hey! "guys'll stare! So watch the skirt! Come on, these are basics for a girl!

Alex: Yeah, Yeah I know. But I sometimes forget that I'm not a girl in your body. And stop spending my money on sweets!

Mitsuha: It's going in your body! Besides, your job is a pain... Lemme' celebrate!

Alex: Celebrate for what? On air patrols there's nothing to accomplish for, unless it's a mission then it's worth to celebrate! And you're gonna give me cavities, by eating too much!

Time went on for the two, as Alex worked with Tessie on carpeting a small cafe table which Sayaka later comes to be surprised. Mitsuha and Prez been getting close as they went to have coffee.

Mitsuha: Prez and I gotten coffee during the shift was over. You two have a good thing going!

Alex: Mitsuha... Quit controlling my love life!

Mitsuha: Speaking of Love. Alex, while I was heading home with Tessie and Sayaka. Suddenly A girl came up and confessed to me!!

Alex: Oh... I think I made you a tomboy and more popular when I'm you.

Mitsuha: Oh Why you! You're still single at 21! Not to mention you made Prez became attracted to you!

Alex: I see her as a close friend or a sister, while you have no boyfriend!

Mitsuha: Well that's... Because I...

Alex: I-I wanted things to stay, where they are which is...

Alex and Mitsuha write on their faces given of them screwing with each other's lives. Later it was another cycle for the body switching as Alex wakes up in Mitsuha's body.

Alex: (Sighs) here we go again...

Alex looks down on his body which he sees that he's wearing a bra.

Alex's Mind: Guess Mitsuha put that on given she's probably suspects that I might... Well I didn't touch them for a long time since the first time.

Alex starts touching the boobs and feeling pleasure and wants to do more as he goes for the bottom, but when he got there he felt it but stops.

Alex gets up and head for the door as it opens, which Yotsuha was about to call her sister up but didn't.

Alex: Morning Yotsuha.

Alex pat Yotsuha on the head as he went to brush his teeth.

Yotsuha was confused of what happened to her sister which she just got up instead of being waken up by her.

Timeskip

Alex entered the living room as Yotsuha asked him why he's wearing his school uniform which made him confused.
Later Alex, Yotsuha and Hitoha went hiking.

Yotsuha: Gran, why is the body of our shrine's god all the way out here?

Hitoha: I don't know myself, but thanks to Mayaugorou.

Alex: Um, who's that?

Yotsuha: What? You don't know, he's famous!

Alex then decided that he offered Hitoha to be carried by him which made it little hard, when he didn't expect her weight but manages.

The three carried on to the path to where the Miyamizu shrine as Hitoha asks Alex and Yotsuha a question.

Hitoha: Mitsuha, Yotsuha, do you know what "musubi" means?

Alex: Musubi?

Hitoha: In the old language, our local guardian deity is called Musubi. It is a word laden with meaning.
Joining' thread is musubi. Joining' people is musubi. The passage of time is also musubi, too.

Our god's power envelopes all those things. Look at the braided cords we make for example. Those are the god's art, and they represent the flow of time itself. They come together to make a shape. Twisting' and tangling', sometimes coming undone, breaking off, then later reuniting'. That's musubi. And That's time.

They then took a break and they go on further where they reach the shrine.

Alex: So it's up here. The body of the god of Miyamizu shrine. Didn't expect something like it to be in a mountain of a crater.

The three enter inside which Alex and Yotsuha would offer sakes as their offering but mostly Mitsuha's to the shrine.

They head back down the hill when it's beginning to sunset.

Yotsuha: It's half-light already.

Alex: Half-light?

Alex then sees of being amazed of the scenery, he's witnessing.

Yotsuha: Oh, yeah right. Think we'll be able to see the comet?

Alex: The comet you say?

Hitoha: Oh, Mitsuha, you're dreaming' right now, aren't you?

Alex wakes up in his original body as he was in tears.

Alex: Tears, was I'm crying... Why?
