It was a gloomy day at the Evermore for all of it's citizens, well creatures that lived there; For everyone but two people in love.

On days like these the great witch Shelby loved to practice making potions, and what's more fun than learning some cool new ones while spending that time with her love.

It began after Katherine finished all her princess duties much quicker than she thought, she was left with none for about two days which seemed like a perfect opportunity to steal a couple of kisses from her beloved witch.

Although arriving at the Evermore she was met with quite the rainy weather and a thick fog, which was the usual and she actually felt comfortable with it, it reminded her of Shelby after all.

She followed the pretty lights to the witch's house gently knocking on the door, hearing noises of stumbles "Comming!" replying the witch with a muffled "Ow" after it.

Opening the door while rubbing her head she was met with Katherine's gaze, quickly rushing to give her a big hug "Katherine!"

Returning the hug while spinning her darling around she said softly "Hey cutie."

After Katherine put her down but still holding her closer by her waist, Shelby kissed the princess "I didn't expect you here today?"

"You know just finished some tasks early and wanted to visit my girlfriend." replied the princess still admiring the witches eyes, both enjoining it.

"That's really sweet of you love but I still have to make some potions..." Shelby began to pull away grabbing Katherine's hand and slowly dragging her to her house "If you want you can help me with it?" now looking at the taller girl with a soft look, holding her hand with both of hers, a bit smaller than Katherine's, hands.

"Of course! And we can cuddle later too?"

They entered the house and Tortoise greeted Katherine "Hey little buddy." said Katherine petting him.

Shelby went back to making her potion and grabbed a spoon to stir the mixture in her cauldron meanwhile Katherine went behid her wrapping her arms on Shelby's waist.

"So what are we making today darling." said the princess as she leaned on the witch's shoulder to see what's going on. That interaction made Shelby giggle "Just a simple truth potion."

"Oooo that's interesting, I'm assuming it makes people tell the truth?"

"Yup but we have to be really careful in making it if we mess something up it could make an amnesia potion."

"That sounds scary."

"It's not really, the antidote is easy to make, even non-witches can do it besides the effects wear of if it's not on advanced stage." (hehe foreshadowing) says Shelby as she goes to check in her book what's the next ingredient.

"Hmmm....can you add the warped fungus in the mix they're over there." says the witch as she points to her counter.

"Sure thing!" Katherine then went to grab the said mushroom but instead of taking the cyan with orange dots one she grabbed the cyan with light blue ones which are known as boom-shrooms, but she didn't know that so she put it in the cauldron.

The mixture began to bubble and in panic the princess called her girlfriend over "Uhhh.....Shelby is it supposed to bubble like this!?"

The witch rushed over and moved the princess a little bit to the side to check on the potion "Oh no Katherine that was a boom-shroom it'll make the amne-" before she could finish the sentence the potion exploded right in her face, some of it falling in her mouth.

"Shelby! Are you okay." Katherine ran to help her witch out.

Shelby wiped off the rest of the potion from her face "Who's Shelby and who are you....? What's going on?"

"Oh no."

And that's pretty much what it happened. Katherine helped Shelby sit down and began Explaining.

"I am so sorry...I messed up your potion and now you have amnesia.....do you remember me?" in a sad and worried tone Katherine asked.

"Well you do feel really familiar but I'm afraid I'm not quite sure who you are?" replied the witch as she put a finger on her chin "I don't even remember who I am."

"Well you're a witch and one of the emperors in this world. We're currently in your empire called the Evermore....and I accidentally wiped your memories....But I can fix it!"

"Thank you, you seem really kind.....uhhhh what's your name again?" said Shelby with an awkward smile.

"You can call me Katherine." replied the princess gently grabbing Shelby's hand, making the shorter girl blush but she didn't know quite why.

"Okay I gotta make the antidote, can you wait here?"

"Anything for you Katherine." replied Shelby in a cheerfull tone.

"Gosh you're still so cute even without your memories." as Katherine mumbled that she went to look for the antidote for amnesia potion.

"Okay this doesn't seem hard" grabbing a few supplies, that Shelby thankfully had around the house, Katherine began making the antidote. And soon enough she made one.

"Okay this will make you a bit sleepy but that means it's working....."says the princess as she crouches in front of Shelby giving her the potion.

"Alright here goes nothing." after she drank the potion it took a minute to work she began fall a bit as it became harder to fight off the sleepiness but before she could fall Katherine caught her.

"Let's get you to bed just in case you try to fall again."

Shelby just nodded and Katherine picked her up and carried her to her bedroom gently putting her on the bed.

"Heh you're really strong...." said Shelby drowsily as Katherine sat next to her "And very pretty too."

"Aww thank you. You know me with all the secret monster slayer stuff and working out." replied the princess with a giggle.

Shelby then leaned onto Katherine and hugged her by the waist "I don't remember what happened with us, Katherine.....but I feel safe with you."

The princess gave her a kiss on the forehead "I can tell you more about us if you're curious, although you should be able to remember it in an hour or two?" now trying to remember what was in the book.

"Oooo that sounds exciting! Like did I ever tell you how amazing and impressive you are?"

"Hmmm? Yeah, you did many times." Shelby got a huge blush on her face all the way to her ears which just made Katherine giggle again "Don't I just have the cutest girlfriend in the world?" said Katherine with confidence in her voice and a smirk.

"Huh!? W-we're girlfriends! Why didn't you tell me that earlier!" in a very embarrassed and high-pitched voice said Shelby, as she jumped back a little, trying to hide her blush.

"I didn't want to startle you as soon as you lost your memories." replied the princess and stretching her arms as for a hug "Come here I'll explain it to you."

A bit hesitantly Shelby came back and snuggled next to Katherine "Soooo....How long have we been together?" now looking up at the princess.

"Around ten months and it was the best ten months in my life thanks to you!" replied Katherine with a soft smile.

"Hmmmm...." Shelby thought for a moment "How did we become a thing?"

"Officially or when we kissed?"

"Both!" really excitedly said Shelby

"Hehe alright. Well our first kiss didn't feel real to me, it was like pure magic..."

"Well I am a witch....apparently."

"Yeah my greatest witch." replied Katherine while ruffling with Shelby's hair.

"We were flying on your broom in the middle of a night and I held you close so we wouldn't fall, you hurt your arm real badly. We went for stargazing and it was amazing!"

"Wow kissing on the moonlight, I'm really romantic huh?" replied the witch with a smirk.

"Actually...." Katherine giggled "we didn't kiss that night, only after like two and a half weeks."

"Oh....well..."

"But we did have a lot of little dates and they were all wonderful in their own way.....and you always made me happy so yeah you are really romantic."

"Awwwhhh Katherine. When my memories come back I promise to take you on a date." as She finished that she yawned indicating that the potion is starting to have more of an effect then before.

"Well it looks like it'll be pretty soon, don't worry I'll take care of you while you rest." Katherine gave the shorter girl a soft smile before she snuggled next to the princess.

"Thanks Katherine, you're the best." replied the witch before falling into a few hour long slumber......after which she got her memories back and started apologising to her girlfriend for not remembering her.
