"SO, Luke..." Freyja heard Percy trail off as she walked up the hill, Mirage walking along behind her.

"Percy, I didn't know the prophecy was talking about...I...I didn't know." Annabeth faltered, stuttering helplessly. "Luke and I...for years, he was the only one who really cared about me. I thought..."

She paused and Freyja sighed, hitting down the lone tendril of jealousy that snared around her heart. Turning around, she searched for Layla, who was walking towards her with her head down. Freyja knew that if the woman looked up, she'd be able to see a red rim around Layla's eyes, which was truly understandable.

They had burned Zac's body, along with the others, two nights ago and now, it was high time for Layla and Freyja to get back on the road and hunt some more of the monsters down. If they could start to cut off smaller portion's of Kronos' army, then they could lessen the greatness of the battle that was too come.

As the daughter of Hermes reached her side, Freyja touched her hand gently, cocking an eyebrow. Layla shook her head, causing Freyja to nod as she squeezed the woman's hand.

"Girls!" Layla and Freyja looked up, seeing Hera standing at the top of the hill. She was smiling down at them, her dress shimmering like a rainbow, despite everything that had happened.Β

The pair hurried to the top of the hill, tying their pegasi to a tree as they waited for Hera to give them their next assignment.

"Here's where you're going next." Freyja nodded, taking the scroll from Hera's hand as the goddess turned her gaze onto Layla. Behind her grandmother, Percy and Annabeth had a shared look of annoyance plastered across their features. "His soul has found rest in Elysium, of that I can assure you."

"Thank you." Layla's voice was harsh, choked from fresh tears that were threatening to escape. Freyja turned, as the others did, so the goddess could turn into her true form and beam back up to Olympus.

"Well, we should get going then." Freyja muttered to Layla, placing the scroll in the pack on her leg. The woman nodded, saddling up as Freyja turned to Annabeth and Percy, who were watching her with wide eyes. She didn't know what Annabeth was feeling, as the girl had been notoriously silent since their argument in the Labyrinth.

"You're leaving? Already?" Percy questioned. It felt like she had just got back, and she was already going. He needed her here. He needed someone to be able to help!

"I have to. I've got to get back to work." Freyja stated simply. "But if you ever need me, give me a call and I'll get to you as fast as my responsibilities allow me to."

Annabeth's eyes narrowed, and she looked like she was going to shout at Freyja for a moment, but instead she turned and stormed back towards the camp. Freyja watched her go, waiting for the teenager to turn and look at her, but Annabeth refused.

"She'll come around." Percy grinned down at his older sister, who nodded and wrapped her arms around him.

"I know. Stay safe, understand?" He nodded, a smile on his face as she paused and grabbed something for her pack, holding it out to him.

"What's this?"

"It's for your birthday. That's in two days, if I recall correctly." Percy nodded, before going to unwrap it before a hand stopped him. "It's not mortal customs for you to unwrap a present before your birthday."

"Fine, fine. Thanks Freyja." The young goddess smiled, ruffling his hair gently before wandering back over to Mirage as they prepared for flight. She tightened all of her gear, before vaulting upwards. "Did you know?"

"About what?"

"Annabeth having a crush on Luke?" Freyja's heart tightened at the sound of her boyfriend's name.

"I knew." Freyja nodded. It wasn't hard to pick up on. Annabeth used to follow Luke around all the time, and it had clocked Freyja onto the possibility that the young girl had a crush on the man. "He never felt the same. He loved her like a younger sibling, just as I do. Plus, she was five or six years younger than Luke and he was dating me. We never said anything."

"I'm sorry, I just..." Percy looked down, Freyja wheeled Mirage around until he could face Percy.

"I understand." Percy looked up at his older sister, who struck an opposing figure in the sunlight, her silver parka glinting. "When I get back, you can I can talk through this. I'll tell you everything you want to know, just ask the questions."

"Thank you." Percy moved out of her way, watching as Freyja spurred Mirage onwards, soaring up into the air as Layla joined them. He watched them until they disappeared into the sky, before a car horn sounded at the bottom of the hill.

The coordinates that Hera had gifted to the pair came into view, as Freyja spotted a huddle of silver tents far beneath them. Steering Mirage down, Freyja ducked close to his neck as an area was cleared for the two pegasi to land.

Mirage hit the ground first, his hooves slamming to the floor as he came prancing to a stop, snorting loudly. Layla landed soon after, jumping off her own pegasi as Freyja patted Mirage's neck before turning back to the rest of the girls.

"Who are you?" The sharp point of a sword hit Freyja's chin, as she turned to look at the girl who held it, "and why are you wearing a lieutenant's circlet?"

The teenager was older than some of the others, with electric blue eyes and cropped dark hair, that was going blonde at the roots. A lieutenant's band wrapped around her own head, and Freyja realised that this must have been her mother's choice for Zoe's replacement.

"Get your sword away from her." Layla hissed, batting the blade away with her dagger as she joined Freyja's side.

"You're new." Freyja tilted her head, still confused about who this girl was. "Who are you?"

"Freyja!" The young goddess looked up, her face splitting into a grin at the sight of one of her mother's elder huntresses. Brushing past the young lieutenant, Freyja wrapped her arms around the woman.

"Sierra. It's been too long." Sierra clung onto the woman's armour. She was one of the few Huntresses to know Freyja's true identity. Most of the others had died in the nine years since Freyja had trained with the Hunt, and only four of the original Hunters remained.

"I see she finally gave you the lieutenant's circlet." Sierra tapped the silver crown. "It was only a matter of time."

"You know her. She always wanted me back." Freyja forced a smile onto her face. "This is Layla Tribulatio."

The daughter of Hermes stepped forward, shaking Sierra's hand, before the huntress turned to look at the dark haired girl.

"Thalia, it's fine." Sierra raised a placating hand, as Freyja's eyebrows furrowed. She knew that name. "These two are friends. Good friends of Artemis."

"I wouldn't go that far." Freyja muttered, as she finally realised who the girl was. She was the daughter of Zeus, the one that Freyja had failed to save on Half-Blood Hill all those years ago when she first met Luke. "Is she here? I need to speak with her."

"In her tent." Freyja nodded, brushing past the other Hunters to enter into Artemis' tent. It was just the same as she remembered it, and her mother sat at the other end, seemingly doing paper work. "I see paper work is more important than seeing your own daughter."

"You found your way here all the same." Artemis retorted, before looking up at her. "Daughter. What news?"

"Bad tidings." Freyja responded, and despite all efforts not to, she straightened up into a more respectful stance. "Kronos has gained a host, and an army. They think that he'll march on Olympus within the next year. They almost infiltrated Camp Half-Blood, but their efforts were thwarted."

"I see."

"We lost many."

"Pity." Freyja rolled her eyes. "Have you got an assignment?"

Freyja handed the woman a scroll, rocking back and forth on her feet as she waited for her mother to confirm it.

"You can run with the Hunt." Artemis nodded, signing off on the scroll and delivering it to Mount Olympus on the wind. "That is fine, though you may have to give up your lieutenant's circlet as Thalia is also here."

"You'd trust Zeus' child over your own daughter?" Freyja questioned.

"No, I trust her not to let her emotions get in the way. You are a different case."Β

Hiya,

It's the end of Battle of the Labyrinth and Freyja's back with her mother, and knows that Thalia's alive and Zoe's dead. Percy and Freyja are cute and Annie's annoyed with her. What's new? Anyhow, we're moving to the Last Olympian but not to a new part of the book luckily. What are your predictions for what's going to happen?

Question of the Day ; Favorite play or musical?

Also, this is very much true and I thought I should just point it out.

Let me know what you think,

Love Li xx
