The anger after meeting the elders had not left Hitomi, as she had thought. It had stayed, seeped them into her bones and had exploded when the next hospital visit took place. The argument with her dad had put her in an even worse mood.

She could just feel the cursed energy simmering beneath her skin. Having said that, Hitomi took a deep breath as she entered the classroom. Yaga would notice if she was in emotional flux and stop her from going on this mission. She couldn't let him do that; exorcising curses would be the perfect way to vent her anger out.

But the second Hitomi stepped inside, her expression dropped. Because, of course, her luck was that bad. And of course, Gojo and Geto would be on this mission too. She didn't mind working with Geto, but Gojo...

"You're late," Gojo said in a sing-song voice, as he lowered his sunglasses.

"I'll punch those sunglasses off your face," Hitomi spoke plainly as she took a seat next to Geto. The boy in question looked at her with slight concern, but she waved him off.

Yaga lightly shook his head, far too used to the constant bickering between Gojo and her. "Now that all of you are here, let me give you a brief of this mission and tell you how important it is."

The urgency in his voice was quite evident as he briefed them on the mission. A semi-special grade spirit (not quite a grade 1, but not a special grade either; somewhere in between) had appeared in an abandoned, half-constructed building next to a park. Sorcerers had been able to detect its energy at first, but then it had completely disappeared from view.

"Well, that sounds easy enough," Hitomi leaned in her chair, crossing her arms at the back of her head. "Me and Geto can handle this with ease."

"Hey!" Gojo looked outraged at being left out.

"Satoru needs to learn discipline, and his tendency to destroy things without any regard needs to be curbed. That's why I'm sending you both with him. Keep him under control."

"I don't do that!" Gojo childishly slammed his hands on the table.

"Really?" Hitomi and Geto said, almost at the exact same time, sharing similar expressions. Gojo's tendency to go all out, while much appreciated in fighting against special grade and grade 1 curses, was completely unnecessary in all other instances.

"Instead of beginning an argument, why don't you all begin preparations to leave?" Yaga's voice held a warning.

"On it," Hitomi nodded. She felt a little calmer but, at the same, she felt like she was teetering close to the edge of explosive anger. Hopefully, Gojo would not annoy her further.

Oh, who was she kidding? He probably would.

Shaking her head slightly, she got up from her seat following Geto and Gojo as they did the same. Turning to her as they walked, Geto looked at her with concern.

"Are you okay?" He whispered.

Hitomi nodded, smiling slightly. She was not going to admit it out loud. "I'm fine."

But she definitely was not.

"So where the hell is the curse spirit?" Gojo loudly asked, twirling his sunglasses between his fingers. The park was huge, but utterly empty except for the three of them. It was full of greenery and scattered bushes, with a few benches here and there. It was an average-sized park, nothing too big or nothing too small. There was nothing special about it.

The curtain, casted by a reluctant Gojo, had shrouded the park to a certain extent. The golden hour of sunset was not visible at all. Hitomi was sure the park would look much more beautiful without the curtain, but safety and keeping their presence hidden also mattered.

"Speak louder, Gojo. I'm sure the curse did not hear you," Hitomi spoke sarcastically as she started to wander away.

But it seemed like the sarcasm hadn't sunk in, as Gojo started talking even louder.

"I don't think he understood that you were being sarcastic," Geto commented with a half-smile.

"Goes to show he's an idiot," Hitomi replied. She glanced at Gojo, silently laughing at how he was literally calling out to the cursed spirit. Like that would work. Nodding to him slightly, she wandered off in a direction completely different to the boys.

The park really was beautiful, she thought. It would be fun to hang around here, but given how things worked in the Jujutsu world, Hitomi didn't think they'd get a chance just to relax and have a carefree day without the burden of responsibilities weighing down on their shoulders.

Shaking the thought from her mind, she forced her attention back to the mission on hand. 'I can sense the remnants of the cursed energy of the cursed spirit. But where exactly would it hide?' The park was completely open-air and there were barely any places where things could be hidden. Unless the spirit was using a technique that was helping him camouflage against the greenery of the park.

'Where...' Hitomi looked around, trying to figure out where the cursed spirit was located. As though sensing her doubt, Izuki quickly awakened. As she tried to push him down, he said, 'Did you check the ground?' Just as quickly as he had appeared, he went back to hiding in her soul.

She scanned the ground of the park, which was so very ordinary looking. It was just grass and mud and small rocks. Nothing special. She crouched down, ready to brush her fingers against it when the ground rumbled.

Instantly, Hitomi was on alert. The cursed spirit was definitely close by. Just as she was about to call out to Gojo and Geto, she felt a tug on her legs. Black strands of energy were wrapping around them slowly. She didn't even have time to react as the strands slowly started to cover her skin. The hairs on the back of her head stood up.

The cursed spirit was behind her.

She let out a pained scream as the curse slowly pulled her into his body. The energy felt like a thousand knives being buried into her skin. The pain was manageable for now. But soon it would not be the case.

"Hitomi!"

She heard one of the boys yell out her name, but she couldn't tell who it was. But she could tell both of them were prepared to attack when she felt a spike in their cursed energy. They would easily defeat the curse, she knew it. But attacking right now would be far too dangerous because she was still in the grasp of the cursed energy.

"Don't...attack!" Hitomi yelled out in a strained scream. "It's too risky!"

As pain spread through her body, her anger resurfaced. She was not this helpless. She was supposed to be strong. Maybe not as powerful as the so-called strongest duo, but she was powerful in her own way. She could take down this curse. More pain. More anger.

There was only one thing left to do.

'Are you really ready to take that risk? It will be incomplete,' Izuki awakened and then suddenly spoke in her mind. 'You know it will.'

'Oh who fucking cares?' She closed her, pressing her mouth together. 'At least this curse will be dead. Now, stay inside.'

Izuki disappeared again, though she could still feel his disagreement with the idea. Ah, the perks of sharing your soul with someone.

Hitomi didn't waste a second. With her hands forced to her back, she quickly made the sign; the sign that would activate her domain expansion. "Domain expansion!" She cried out with fierce determination. "Expansive Corruption!"

She felt her arms burn as the red energy of the corruption spread across them. The cursed spirit hissed and let go of her. And rather than slamming on the ground, she floated gracefully. The surroundings were coated in a thin sheen of red, a mere reflection of the world that existed outside this domain. The domain gave her control. It gave her so much control that she felt utterly giddy.

Hitomi couldn't give a damn about Gojo or Geto right now. Not when she had so much power in her grasp, even when the domain was incomplete.

This was it. The true pinnacle of Jujutsu. Domain expansion. And she could do it. It was incomplete, but she could do it. A gurgle of laughter escaped her and in all other situations, it would have been fine. But after casting her domain? It only made her sound a little bit insane.

But, oh she loved it. She loved this power that flowed through her veins, the power that her father was so jealous of and the power that made her soul the perfect one to share with the all-powerful Izuki.

The shapeless, blob-like cursed spirit was hissing, smashing at the walls of the domain to escape. Hitomi snorted. Weak creature. The second the tendrils touched her, they disintegrated into nothingness. They didn't matter anymore.

"In here, I'm the strongest. Your attacks will never hurt me," Hitomi's voice sounded different, even to her ears. "And besides, I control gravity. Gravity, that keeps everything on this planet tied together. Bound to Earth."

She grabbed onto the cursed spirit's neck (or was it just a part of its blob-like structure?) "But what happens when I take it away?"

Through her white shirt, she could see the red markings on her arms glow as cursed energy poured out of her, causing an artificial breeze to flutter through her hair.

"You simply cannot exist."

She lightly flicked her left wrist as her right one continued to hold onto the curse. But within a second of her flicking her wrist, the curse was gone, disappearing into nothingness within her domain. With a clap of her hands, Hitomi collapsed her domain.

Turning around, she found herself staring right into Gojo and Geto's shocked faces. They were definitely not expecting that. Ha! She was not as strong as the 'strongest duo', but there was no way they could deny she was very near to their level. And the second she managed to cast a complete domain, it was game over for everyone.

"Oops," Hitomi said with a laugh, even as she felt her body growing queasy. "Looks like I did all the work for the day. Though I think I broke the curtain."

And then, she ran to the nearest bush and vomited out everything she had eaten for breakfast.

Honestly, Hitomi might be one of my favourite OCs to write. I enjoy coming up with her dialogue and writing her banter with Gojo and Geto. This chapter was really fun to write and yup, Hitomi can cast a domain. Though it's an incomplete domain, it is still pretty powerful. There's a reason it's an incomplete domain though and that has got to do with Izuki hehe. More stuff will be revealed in the coming chapters and I can't wait for you all to read that!

Till then, I hope you all enjoyed this chapter. Comments and votes are really appreciated <3
