In this Chapter, I will show you guys some ASL Apps I've been using that are truthfully helpful when starting. I hope you find them fun and cool as well.
1) The ASL App: Free
This App includes some videos where they have different sections to begin. They're easy to follow and it's been a great help. Of course, to get many more videos, you have to pay, but with the ones that are already free, it's a great way to start.
2) ASL Perpetual Words: Free
This App is actually a game. You know Candy Crush? I'm sure you remember that game perfectly. So, in this App, they give you a board filled with finger signs—here is what knowing the Alphabet jumps in!Depending on what mission they give you, you need to find words. Like, spell words with the letters they give you. They will ask you for a specific amount of letters—which the word needs to have.
For example: If they ask me to find a word with three letters or more, I start looking for letters that could make a word with that amount of letters. I'm sure it will be easier to understand once you download it.
3) The ASL Dictionary: Free
In this App, they give you many, many, many words to choose from. Each one comes with a mini video that will show a person that does the sign for that word you chose. I use this App a lot, I find it truly helpful.
Down below I will put some websites—recommendations made by a YouTuber that knows Sign Language—where you can find even more ways to learn!
