The rest of the party went well. Everyone kept congratulating the newly engaged couple, sharing words of wisdom and encouragement. Everyone left, except for the Knight siblings, Marjorie, and Winter.

"Marjorie I do not think you need anymore wine." Winter said, taking the bottle away from her.
"You're no fun." Marjorie said, rolling her eyes.
"She's drinking for the two of us, my sweet." Autumn said, looking at Winter.
"Exactly." Marjorie nodded.
"That's scary." Reece laughed, gently rocking Logan in his arms.

Marjorie glared at Reece, causing Reece to laugh again. Autumn stood up and took Logan from Reeces arms, putting her back in the pram. Reece started picking up the empty wine glasses, when something caught his eye.

"Are these our wine glasses?" Reece asked, holding one of them up.
"I have no idea what you mean." Autumn smirked, scratching her head.
"Oh so that's where those went!" Marjorie giggled. "Autumn I thought I told you no."
"You were in on this too??" Reece exclaimed.
"I mean....." Marjorie said, looking at Autumn. "Absolutely not. I have no clue what you guys are talking about."
"Lord help me." Reece whispered to himself, clearing off the tables.
"What was that?" Marjorie smirked.
"Nothing dear." Reece smiled.

The crew finished cleaning up, all going their separate ways. Reece practically dragged Marjorie out to the car, Marjorie being her usual stubborn self.

"Honey, you can have more when we get home." Reece said, opening the passenger door.
"Honey?" Marjorie asked, raising an eyebrow.

"What?" Reece asked, pretending to be oblivious.
"Never mind." Marjorie huffed, submitting to Reeces will, and sitting down.

Reece laughed as he shut the door and walked around the car, getting in the drivers seat. He drove home pretty quickly, knowing how antsy Marjorie was getting.

"I was thinking of cutting my hair." Marjorie said, twirling her hair.
"Yeah?" Reece asked, opening the passenger door.
"Yeah. I need a change. Plus I can do it myself." Marjorie shrugged, taking his hand and dragging him inside.

Marjorie poured herself another glass of wine, even though Reece begged her not to. She giggled as she ran upstairs, grabbing her hairdresser kit, and sitting in front of the floor length mirror in their bedroom. Reece followed behind, making sure she wouldn't hurt herself.

"Wow. Okay." Reece said, watching Marjorie snip her hair left and right.
"Do you like?" Marjorie asked, ruffling her hair.
"I do." Reece nodded, sitting behind her and tucking her new bangs behind her ear.
"They are kinda like curtain bangs, but shorter. So I guess they're bangs. Or not. I don't even know anymore. I think the wine is getting to me." Marjorie said, going to put her comb back in the bag.

As Marjorie was cleaning up, Reece heard a noise come from the kit. Marjorie pulled her hand back and winced, causing Reece to slightly panic.

"Damn it." Marjorie said, looking at the blood on her finger.
"What happened?" Reece asked, reaching for her hand.
"My bloody scissors cut me." Marjorie laughed. "No big deal, it happened to me all the time in school."
"Well, you're bleeding quite a bit gorgeous. I'll go get the med kit." Reece said, kissing her head and standing up.

Reece ran downstairs to the kitchen, grabbing the med kit. He ran back upstairs, finding Marjorie still trying to clean up.

"What are you doing?" Reece asked.
"What does it look like I'm doing?" Marjorie laughed.
"Let me clean you up first, and then you can go back to......" Reece trailed off.
"Cleaning up, and finishing my glass." Marjorie smiled, holding her finger out for Reece to clean.

Reece cleaned up her finger, which wasn't going to be painless. She winced a couple times, which caused Reeces heart to break. He got her all situated, telling her to change and he'll take care of the rest. Marjorie nodded as she changed into her pajamas, lying in bed.

"You tired?" Reece asked, sweeping the floor.
"No." Marjorie yawned, scrolling on her phone.
"If you say so." Reece laughed.

Reece finished cleaning, taking Marjorie's glass back downstairs as well as the med kit. He grabbed some painkillers from the cabinet, along with a bottle of water to put on their bedside table for in the morning. When he walked back upstairs, he found Marjorie sound asleep in their bed, her phone in her hand and glasses still on her face.

"Good thing I love you." Reece chuckled to himself, as he placed Marjorie's phone on the charger, and gently wiggled her glasses off.

Marjorie stirred at the motion, then let out a content sigh. Reece quietly exhaled, backing away slowly to go turn off the lights downstairs. He heard her mumble something, and he turned around to try and see if she would say it again.

"I do love him. I can't wait to marry him, I love him so much. I don't know what I did to deserve such a kind man." Marjorie mumbled.

Reece got teary-eyed, slightly blushing. Marjorie would ask him all the time what she did to deserve him, and he answered every time with 'exist'. And it's true. He would give the world to her if he could. He never thought he would find someone as kind, as patient, as loving as Marjorie. And he did. He wished for change when he was younger, and he got that. He wished for a better family, and he got that. They might not all be blood, but they are family regardless, because of love. Because that's what family is. Not always blood, but always love.

Reece finished tidying up downstairs and turning off the lights. He crept back upstairs, back into their bedroom. He changed into just sweatpants, glad to get out of that suit. He ruffled his hair, looking at himself in the mirror, a huge smile painted across his face. He turned out the light and climbed in bed next to Marjorie, wrapping his arms tightly around her. He pulled the duvet over them, placing a kiss on Marjorie's shoulder.

"I can't wait to marry you either, gorgeous. I love you so much. Thank you for being, well, you." Reece whispered in her ear, before closing his eyes and falling asleep.

What Reece didn't know, is that Marjorie was slightly awake, and she heard everything he said. She placed a kiss on his arm, before smiling to herself, drifting back to sleep in the arms of the love of her life.
