"Reece?" Marjorie said, running through the door.

Mia stopped her by holding her arm out, causing Marjorie to glare at her.

"How drunk are you?" Mia asked.
"Not.... that drunk." Marjorie said, furrowing her brows.
"I can smell the tequila on your breath." Mia said, looking at Autumn who was walking through the door.
"She's drunk, but hearing about my brother sobered her up pretty quick." Autumn said, walking over and standing next to Mia.
"Okay." Mia said, letting go of Marjorie.

Marjorie ran over to the couch, where Reece was sitting. He had his hands over his face, breathing fast, and his leg was bouncing up and down.

"Darling?" Marjorie said, gently putting her hand on his back.

Reece relaxed at her touch, uncovering his face and sighing. He kept looking straight ahead, refusing to make eye contact with Marjorie.

"I'm sorry. She shouldn't have called you." Reece said.
"Oh please. You were having a panic attack. She had every right to call me." Marjorie said.
"But you've had a rough day. I didn't want to add more to it, and you needed this time with Aut." Reece said, sighing.
"Darling, I'm alright. I think the shots of tequila I had are helping." Marjorie said, smiling. "You don't have to keep this all in, you know. I'm your girlfriend, I've got your back."

Reece looked over at Marjorie, faintly smiling. Marjorie studied his puffy eyes, and his red nose. His eyes were now a dark blue colour, instead of the bright blue she's used to.

"Do you know what caused it?" Marjorie said, slowly rubbing his back.
"No. I think seeing you like that broke me. I would take all your pain if I could. I haven't had a panic attack since I was in school. Thought I was over them. I don't know why, Mia says it's probably heightened emotions. I'm not blaming you at all, gorgeous." Reece said.
"That's alright. I'm surprised I didn't have one. You love me so much, it hurts you. And I love how much you care for me. Plus, panic attacks sometimes happen randomly. This isn't a sign of weakness, my love. It's a sign of strength." Marjorie said, kissing the side of his head.

Reece smiled weakly and sighed. Marjorie wrapped both of her arms around him, holding him tight. Mia and Autumn just watched from the door.

"It's so weird." Mia said.

"What?" Autumn said, crossing her arms.
"Did you see how she got through to him? And how he instantly calmed down the second she touched him?" Mia asked, looking at Autumn.
"Yeah." Autumn sighed. "I would never admit this to their faces, but it's cute."
"Yeah, it is." Mia said, leaning against the wall. "It's sickening, almost."
"You took the words right out of my mouth." Autumn said, laughing.

Marjorie continued to hold Reece tight, wiping his tears away when they would fall. She kissed him once more on the head before getting up to meet Autumn and Mia.

"Thank you Mia. I know this must have been tough." Marjorie said, smiling.
"No problem. He's family." Mia said, nodding.
"And thank you Autumn, for getting me over here so quick." Marjorie said.
"Anytime." Autumn said, smiling.
"You're my family too, Mia." Marjorie said. "I can't thank you enough for that, and for calling me."
"Like I said, no problem. And yeah, you're my family too." Mia said.

Marjorie pulled Mia into a hug and smiled. Mia reluctantly melted into the hug, sighing. Autumn just watched the two of them, and smiled.

"Thank you." Mia said, pulling away from the hug.

"No problem. I could tell you needed it." Marjorie said, winking. "I'm assuming you don't want one Autumn."

Autumn shrugged and walked towards Marjorie, pulling her in for a tight hug. Marjorie laughed as she did so, earning a smile from Reece on the couch.

"You good to drive home?" Marjorie asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Autumn said, pulling away.
"Alright." Marjorie said. "Love you both. Be safe."
"Love you too." Mia and Autumn said, walking out the door.

Marjorie watched as they drove off separately, shutting the door. She sighed and walked back over to Reece, who was bouncing his leg up and down.

"Let's go to bed, my love." Marjorie said, reaching for his hands.

Marjorie pulled Reece up, guiding him upstairs to their bedroom. Marjorie changed into her pajamas, and getting into bed. Reece changed into his, Marjorie just watching him.

"I love you." Marjorie said, sitting up.
"I love you too." Reece said, putting on his shirt. "Thank you once again."
"Of course, darling. Anytime." Marjorie said, smiling.

Reece finished changing, and got into bed. He rested his head on top of Marjorie's chest, wrapping his arms tightly around her body. He relaxed into her, sighing.

"You alright?" Marjorie asked, tracing circles on his back.
"I'm better now, now that I have you." Reece said, smiling into her chest.
"Just know, you never have to keep anything like this from me. I'm glad you called Mia. I am. I just hate that you feel like you have to hide your emotions. I'll tell you time and time again...... you're a human. You have emotions. You'll never scare me away. I love you too much to leave you." Marjorie said, running her nails through his hair.
"I know. It's hard. My whole life I was told the opposite, and you're helping me unlearn all of those things. I can't thank you enough Marjorie. You've saved my life in more ways than one. We've only been dating for a few months, but when you know, you know. And trust me, I know. I love you Marjorie." Reece said, planting a kiss on her collarbone.

Marjorie wiped a stray tear that fell and giggled. Reece looked up at her, kissing the tears away. He continued kissing her face, admiring her beauty.

"Thank you for saving my life." Reece said, kissing her lips.
"Thank you for saving mine." Marjorie said, pulling him closer.
