"Shouldn't we decide what we're gonna call Siobhan first?" Reece pointed at the blonde woman.
"And what does that mean?" Siobhan asked, messing with her earring.
"Well, it's your first meeting as part of the board and you're apart of this 'family', so yeah. I was thinking Mum." Reece said, looking over at Autumn.

Autumn smirked as she looked back at Reece.

"Seriously?" Roger and Siobhan said at the same time.
"What? I thought it was fitting." Reece said, stifling a laugh.
"That's enough. Under no circumstances will you call her mummy." Roger said, looking down at the papers in front of him.

Reece raised an eyebrow and looked at Autumn who was gagging silently. Roger and Siobhan both cleared their throats.

"I'm so sorry I'm late. My car was acting up again. She takes a lot of love to get going in the mornings." Marjorie said, walking through the door.
"Lucky car." Reece said, smiling at Marjorie.

Marjorie rolled her eyes and sat next to Autumn.

"Have I missed anything?" Marjorie asked Autumn.
"Only that our father most definitely calls Siobhan mummy behind closed doors, and you can only imagine the things they're doing when he calls her that." Autumn replied, smirking at Reece.
"Seriously mutton chops? You too?" Roger raised his voice.

Marjorie shook her head to hide a slight laugh. Reece just kept staring at Marjorie, watching her every move.

"Marjorie, looks like someone at your nursery is getting a raise?" Roger asked, picking up his pen.
"Yeah. That would be Winter." Marjorie replied.
"Isn't that the drip you're dating?" Reece said, pointing to Autumn.

Autumn kicked Reece under the table, causing Reece to let out a groan.

"That so called 'drip' is one of my best staff members." Marjorie started, pointing at Reece. "You can't say anything about him when you haven't even met him."
"Right. Sorry." Reece said.

Autumn looked at Marjorie and mouthed 'thank you'. Marjorie nodded and set her purse down.

*after the meeting*

"Well, thank you guys for showing up. Our next meeting is 2 months from now." Roger said, stacking the papers up.
"No problem." Marjorie said, hiding a yawn.
"Oh Marjorie and Reece I need to speak to you guys before you leave. Autumn and Siobhan, you're free to go." Roger said.
"Bye." Autumn rolled her eyes and walked out of the office.
"Okay." Siobhan said, following Autumn.

Roger placed two papers in front of Marjorie and Reece.

"These are the new late fee policies. Both of you have to sign." Roger said, grabbing pens for the both of them.
"You're going to be charging more? Are you serious?" Marjorie said, reading the paper.
"Well, yeah. It's a late fee." Roger scoffed.
"I'm not signing that. Unless you keep it the same. You already have enough money, you don't need more." Marjorie said, shoving the papers back at Roger.
"I agree." Reece said, doing the same.
"Well fine. You two are so stubborn." Roger said, rolling his eyes.

Roger grabbed his papers and walked out of the door.

"Marge," Reece started.

"And where do you get off calling me Marge?" Marjorie turned to look him in the eye.
"Isn't that your name?" Reece asked.
"It's Marjorie." Marjorie scoffed, sitting back with her arms crossed.
"Fine. For someone who can't stand me because of what Autumn told you, you're still here. You can leave. We were allowed to leave minutes ago." Reece smirked, getting up from the chair.
"Whatever." Marjorie said, rolling her eyes and getting up.

Marjorie walked out the door and headed to her car. What she didn't know was that Reece was following her.

"What is it this time." Marjorie felt Reece behind her.
"I called you Marge, not your actual name and all you said was 'It's Marjorie, and whatever?' Something tells me you liked that." Reece said, putting his hands in his pockets.
"I— no. Why do you want to get to know me so bad?" Marjorie crossed her arms and looked down.
"I've spent years listening to the tales of the 'legendary Marjorie.'" Reece smirked. "I also know all about your villain era."

Marjorie's eyes widened. She looked off to the side, and Reece cocked his head at her.

"I know what you did Reece. Autumn told me. Is that not clear? She's my best friend and I can't do that to her." Marjorie scoffed.
"Do what exactly?" Reece said, stepping closer towards Marjorie.
"Goodbye Reece." Marjorie said, getting in her car and pulling out of the lot.

Reece just stood there and laughed as he watched Marjorie furiously drive off.

"Jesus Christ." Marjorie shook her head, driving back to her house.

Marjorie arrived at her house and sat in her car. She felt her phone vibrate and saw that Autumn had texted her.

Autumn: He's incredibly charming but such a dick.

Marjorie: You got that right.

Marjorie shut off her phone. Was she really starting to fall for Reece? I mean she didn't fight back too hard on the nickname. She referred to her and Reece as something she can't do to Autumn. Marjorie would be foolish for falling for someone who ruined her best friends life.
