Jasey's POV
"You're a good for nothing loser and you don't even deserve to live!" My mother screamed.
I fought the tears threatening to spill. "Mom, I'm trying. I just can't seem to pull my grades up. College is difficult." I calmly spoke, running my hand through my bright blue hair.
"Well, Jasey, it doesn't seem like your hardest is the best you can do! Can you even do anything right? I'm sure you can't even die correctly. Why don't you go find out!" She screeched, clawing her freshly manicured nails into my cheek.
My lip began to tremble, and I could feel tears creeping down my cheek. My mother stomped off, to which my father took the opporunity to grab my arm, twisting it. "Dad, stop." I whimpered. "You don't cry in front of your mother. Do you understand? You've put us through enough crap, don't make yourself seem more innocent than you are."
I managed to punch him in the gut, and as I ran into my room, I decided locking it would be the best option. I slowly sat down, my body shaking as I sobbed.
"Maybe I don't. Maybe I shouldn't be here anymore. I'm through." I whispered. I looked at my poster above my bed, staring at Austin Carlile. "I'll never get the chance to meet you. It's not like you'd even care about me anyway." I sobbed,.
"SHUT UP IN THERE YOU PIECE OF GARBAGE! GO CRY SOMEWHERE ELSE!" My father roared.
I slowly sat up, wiping the tears from my eyes. I grabbed my phone and headphones before sneaking through my window.

Austin's POV
I glanced at my phone, checking the time: 7:45. "Great." I muttered. I was absolutely bored out of my mind.
The guys were all out at the bar, but I decided to stay home. I had been getting drunk every night... I knew I was going to cause problems for myself so I stopped. I sighed, heaving myself off of the couch.
I bounded up the steps and grabbed a Slipknot shirt and threw on a pair of black skinny jeans with my vans. I grabbed the keys and hopped in my car. I had no idea what I was doing or where I was going, but I was out of ideas to cure boredom.

Jasey's POV
It was colder than I had expected. I sighed, wishing I had brought a jacket. 'Doesn't matter,' I thought. I'd be dead by morning.
I ran over to the spot I wanted to end it all at. It was a large bridge, but nobody ever used it; it was on the other side of town. I climbed through the railing, standing at the edge, tears falling down my face. "Is this what you want?" I shouted at nobody. "Was I truly supposed to die this young?" I sobbed. I moved closer to the edge, my toes weren't on the platform anymore. I looked down, silently praying that it wouldn't hurt. As soon as I was ready to go, I heard someone yell "Please! Stop! It gets better, I promise!" I turned around, seeing a man I could never forget the name of... The man who had helped me so many times although I had never met him: Austin Carlile.

Austin's POV
I drove my car in silence, hoping for anything to break it. I decided to drive to the other side of town, and boy I'm glad I did.
I drove toward a bridge. It's a shame nobody uses it anymore; it used to be so beautiful. Now, it's very run down and grungy. Once in a while I heard that you can find some druggies down here. Anyways, I was driving down the bridge when on the side, I saw a girl who appeared to be ready to jump. I quickly got out of my car, yelling "Please! Stop! It gets better, I promise!" hoping she wouldn't jump. I wouldn't be able to live with myself.
I ran over to her, and grabbed her wrist. She tensed up, and I realized why. Up her entire arm there were cuts, both old and new ones. My vision started to blur, and slowly tears began to drop on her arm. "Please. It gets better." I whispered. She looked up at me, her eyes filling with pain, sadness, and regret. She nodded, wiping away her tears. "Come on, let's get you all warmed up, it's cold out." I led her to my car, opening the door for her. She looked so sad, and I didn't know what I could do to help her. I just knew I wanted to see her smile, and I'd do whatever it took to make it happen.
Hey guys!
This is my first real chapter, and sorry if I made some errors... I'm typing this on my phone.
I'm sorry I'm not the best writer in the world, I'm trying. After all, this is my first book.
Anyways, thanks for reading. I appreciate it. Believe me.
We'll carry on, my little mitchypoos c;
