1. As a selected, you are now considered property of Illéa.

2. You must take one vitamin provided by the palace every day, you were given a bottle before you arrived. Any health problems, mental or physical you may have, tell your maids immediately

3. You cannot leave the palace of your own accord. You have to be dismissed by the royal you were assigned to. Even the kings and queens cannot force you out. They can tell their children they do not approve of you, but the selecting royals make every decision on who stays and who leaves.

4. There is no set timeline for the Selection. It can be over in a matter of days or stretch into years.

5. You do not arrange your times with your royal. They will seek you out for one-on-one company if they want it. If you are in a larger social meeting and they are present, that is different. But you do not go to them without invitation.

6. While no one expects you to get along with the other contestants, you are not to fight with them or sabotage them. If you are found laying hands on another contestant, causing them stress, stealing from them, it doing anything that might diminish their personal relationship with their selecting royal, it is in their hands whether or not to dismiss you on the spot.

7. If you are found breaking any of Illéa's written laws, you will receive the punishment tied to that offense. Your status as one of the Selected does not put you above the law.

8. You must not wear any clothes or eat any food that is not specifically provided for you by the palace. This is a security issue and will be strictly enforced

9. On occasion, but always with warning, there will be cameras or photographers in the palace, and you will be courteous and allow them to see your lifestyle with your royal

10. You are not to go outside under any circumstances. During the day, there will be times when you can go into the garden, but not without permission. This is merely a safety restriction.

11. The third floor, where all the royals' private quarters are, is off limits at all times unless you were specifically invited there

12. For each week you stay at the palace, your family will be compensated a sum of $5,000.

13. Should you not stay at the palace, an aide will help you adjust to your life after the Selection. Your aide will assist you with final preparations before you leave for the palace, as well as help you seek new housing and employment afterward.

14. Should you make it to the top five for your royal, you will be considered and Elite. Once you reach that status, you will be required to learn about the particular inner workings of the life and obligations you would have as a prince or princess. You are not permitted to seek out such details before that time.

15. From this moment on, your status is a Three (if you aren't already a Three or Two) but the rest of your family remain in their caste. Should you win, you and your entire family become Ones as members of the royal family.

16. If you make it to the end, you will marry your prince and become a princess of Illéa and take on all the rights and responsibilities of that title

17. Not exactly a rule, but when you are invited to do something with your royal, it is unwise to refuse. No matter what it is. Dinner, outings, kisses, more than kisses, anything. Do not turn them down.

18. Speaking along the lines of rule seventeen, all selected must be a virgin. If they are otherwise, then they aren't allowed to compete. Intercourse before marriage is considered illegal in a large handful of provinces, so it's only expected that this rule is enforced

19. As pretty as some piercings may be, any piercings a selected may have need to be taken out unless they are on the ear. No gauges, no nose piercings, no bellybutton piercings, nothing.

20. Adding to rule nineteen, tattoos are not permitted at all either unless they were required after a surgical operation. This was a rule made generations ago, to maintain the purity of the future princess's skin. If you are able to get one after the prince's permission, then it is alright
