Shikamaru and I slowly walked to my house taking in the beautiful scenery. The stars were shining and your face was glowing. Suddenly Shikamaru broke the silence. 

"I can keep you company tomorrow. I know it's going to be a tough day for you and I don't want you to be alone."

What's tomorrow..oh. Tomorrow is a really sad day. On that day many years ago my parents passes. Why did he have to remind me.

"I'd rather be alone. Thanks Shika.", you replied trying not to look too sad.

We were now standing in front of my apartment before I walked in, I felt Shikamaru's hand touch mine. He gently pulled me into a small hug and let go a few seconds later. "If  you need anything I'll be right here." He said as he let go of you.

"I'm glad to have a friend like you Shikamaru." After saying those words you walked into your apartment closing the door behind you. 

Shikamaru stood there disappointed at the words friend.

SHIKAMARU P.O.V

'Friends'.

I've known (Y/N) for so long and I thought it was mutual when it came to feelings. Does she really deep down only think of me as a friend?.. Ever since that damn Naruto came back she's been all over him. How do I get (Y/N) back. 

"what a drag", I whispered rolling my eyes.

I turned around and walked home.

(Y/N) P.O.V

I woke up the next morning knowing this would be the worst day of my life. All I could think about was my parents. I woke up earlier than usual and got ready. I felt tears forming in my eyes as I left my apartment to walk to the cemetery. As much as I wanted to be alone I kinda wished Naruto was with me right now.

"Mom..Dad.. I miss you both so much.", I said curled into a ball sitting next to their grave. My arms were crossed over my knees and my head was buried in them.

NARUTO P.O.V

I wanted to go see (Y/N) today. It was a nice day. I felt a little breeze on my neck as I walked through the village on my way to her house.

As I was walking I bumped into Shikamaru.

"Yo" , I said waving.

"Naruto where are you going. You better not be going to visit (Y/N)."

"yeah I am why?"

"You know nothing", he said while rolling his eyes.

Shikamaru proceeded to explain the death of (Y/N)'s parents and I felt really bad. I guess that's what has been bothering her.  Shikamaru left me alone. I went to the flower shop to meet with Ino.

"hey Ino"

"oh hey Naruto what brings you here?"

"Well I know (Y/N) works here so I wanted to know if you knew what were her favorite flowers."

Ino then gave me (Y/N)'s (fav/flowers) and I said thank you and left.

I guessed she would probably be at the cemetery so I went there first. I arrived and obviously saw (Y/N) sitting their crying...a lot.

(Y/N) P.O.V

I kept crying. I've already been here for an hour. I just couldn't stop the memories of my loving parents flooding my brain. I heard footsteps and decided to keep my head down. I then felt a hand gently touch my shoulder so I decided to look up and I saw Naruto. This time he wasn't smiling. He had more of a worried look.

"hey (Y/N)..I should be leaving you alone right now but I know how it feels so not have parents and I never liked being alone so I figured you might be better with someone by your side. I can leave if you want me to of course. Also I bought you flowers." , he stated.

"thanks Naruto." ,you whispered.

I laid down on the grass looking up in the clear sky. Naruto then joined me. We both just lay there looking up. An other memory of your mom took over your brain and you started tearing. Naruto quickly noticed and rapped his arm around you while softly saying "everything will be okay."

I turned over to face him and placed my hand on his chest. I cuddled next to him with tears falling onto his shirt. He leaned his head on mine and we both fell asleep.
