A few days passed since Naruto confessed his feelings to me at the hospital. I haven't seen him since then. We have both been really busy with missions which prevented us from seeing each other. 

I haven't talked to Shikamaru either. We pass by each other sometimes but he pretends I don't exist. He's still mad at me for kicking him out.

In all honesty, I really miss Shika. I just miss my best friend. 

The days passed by and I felt really lonely. Tomorrow is my day off so I'm really looking forward to rest..alone:( 

~Time skip~

I woke up the next morning excited to sit in bed all day and watch movies. Although after a while I got really bored and decided to do something else.

I was the type of girl to dress down and not wear any makeup. Not because I didn't want to, just because I didn't know how and no one ever taught me.

Since today was my day off, I gathered all my makeup and products and tried something. "not bad", I said to myself.

I looked a little different and I kind of liked it. I put on a tight dress that really complimented my body. It was (favorite/color) and stopped just before my knees. I've never worn this dress before but I really liked it.

I was about to take off all the makeup and clothes before I heard a knock at the door. Oh no... 

I ran do the door and when I opened it I saw the one and only Naruto Uzumaki.

"uh uh Hi Naruto?", I stuttered. 

"I- oh you look- are you going somewhere..?", he responded.

"Oh umm no I just wanted to try something new. Come inside and stay there I'm just gonna go change."

"no wait.. umm stay like that you look...stunning."

I look what? Naruto called me stunning?

My face turned red while I looked at the boy in the eyes. He slowly started blushing before hiding his face to the side.

"would you like something to drink? or eat?", I broke the silence.

"Oh no thank you."

"Do you... wanna watch a movie?", I said.

"yeah sure that would be fun."

We watched the movie snuggled up together. Before we heard a knock on the door.

We both got up and walked to the door. 

And there stood Shikamaru.

" (Y/N)! ...naruto.. ", he spoke.

"Hey Shikamaru..", I replied.

"I was actually wondering if maybe we could have a chat...alone"

"oh ok..Naruto stay here I'll be back"

Naruto nodded and walked back to the couch while I followed Shukamaru out of my house.

We walked quite far in silence before he stopped in front of me and said "(Y/N). What do you think of me?"

That was an odd question to ask. "You're my best friend nothing more nothing less."

SHIKAMARU P.O.V

Nothing more.., nothing less. Nothing more...

"What do you think of Naruto?", I said holding back my tears.

"Umm well I'm not sure. I guess I think of him as more than friends. I do really like him."

My heart stopped at her words.

She like Naruto. Not me.

I need to prove her wrong. That she should love me not him.

(Y/N) P.O.V

He fell silent for a few seconds before he looked up at me with determination in his eyes. Before I could ask him what's going on he grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to him. In less than one second he lifted his hand to my cheek and went in for a kiss...
