"You must be strong. I may not be with you. But you got to hold on. They'll see in time. I know. Well show them together."

Sophie's POV:

Getting ready for a sleepover with the rest of the gang. Biana thought it would be fun to lighten things up a little bit because of what happened recently. With you know who and all that. I've forgiven him for it but it's going to take a lot to become my friend again. He's not going to get it that easily. I'll get headaches occasionally, but they aren't as bad as they were. Elwin says I am healing nicely so there isn't much to worry about now. Besides I had Keefe at my side the entire time. That's all I could ever hope for. It's the best!

I'm finally ready for the sleepover and feeling a little nervous about what Biana has planned for us. I hope it's nothing too wild and there are no makeovers! I'm not in the mood for that. I just want to enjoy their company, play some games, and relax. But mostly, I just want to cuddle with Keefe and whisper sweet nothings to each other, giving occasional kisses. That sounds like a dream come true for me. I would love that. But probably not when our friends are present.

Our recent special dream was amazing because it was all about love. It made me realize that while I may not be considered "normal," nobody really is. We are all unique in our own way. The dream also felt like a promise that Keefe and I made to each other, and it revealed some other important insights, such as the idea that even though we spent seven years apart, time has brought our hearts together.

Even after our dreams ended, we held onto the belief that we would eventually find each other. We promised to love each other for a thousand years, speaking to each other through our hearts. I like to think that we loved each other long before we even met, even if that's not true. But hey, a girl can dream, right?

Arriving at Everglen, Della greets me and invites me inside. "Everyone is upstairs in the living room. That's where you guys will sleep tonight," she says. "Thanks, Della," I reply as I make my way up the stairs. As I get closer, I can hear chatter coming from the living room. Upon entering, Biana turns to me and says, "Hey Sophie. You can put your stuff over there," pointing to a queen bed. "Thanks, Bi," I say, putting my stuff down on the bed and looking around to see who else has arrived so far.

Dex, Marella, Wylie, and Fitz are here, but we're still waiting on Keefe and the twins, Tam and Linh. I bet Keefe is taking forever to fix his hair. I'm not sure about Linh and Tam, they're probably just running late. As we all sit down, I ask, "What's the plan for tonight?" Biana replies, "Once everyone's here, we'll have dinner and then play some easy games. We'll also have Ripplepuffs and Mallowmelt." I nod and say, "Sounds great."

We chatted about school, life, and soulmate things. "I love our song, I can't believe that no one else will ever know it," Biana said. "I've never thought about it that way. But I know one thing - it's your and Tam's song, and it was meant just for you two. That's why you cherish it so much," I explained. "I've never thought about it like that. I like it. Just like your and Keefe's song?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

I nod and say, "Yes, each song is given to you and your soulmate for a special reason, just like yours and Tams." Eventually, Tam and Linh walked in, with Tam sitting next to Biana. Keefe also comes in and when he sits down, he pulls me into his lap. I blush and smile, feeling warm and comforted by Keefe. It makes me feel the warmest fuzzies ever! I understand why Keefe likes warm hugs so much. After giving me a kiss on the cheek and pulling away, he asks, "How's your head?" I reply, "It's getting better. Last time Elwin checked, it's healing nicely, so I still get headaches, but they aren't as bad as they were before."

"That's a relief. I'm glad things weren't as bad as they could have been," he says, feeling relieved. "Alright everyone, let's go have dinner," Biana announces. "Yes! Food!" Dex exclaims, running out of the room. I guess someone's hungry. I stand up and help Keefe up, and we walk hand in hand down the stairs, sitting next to each other at dinner. "Okay, how about we play an easy game of 'Never Have I Ever' while we eat?" Everyone nods in agreement.

"Okay, let's play a game. We'll raise our hand if we've done something, and if not, we'll just leave it down," she explained. "Linh, want to start us off?" Biana asked. Linh nodded. "Never have I ever practiced kissing with my pillow?" Fitz, Dex, Keefe, and Biana raised their hands. "Wait, you have?" I said, looking at Dex. "Hey, you've got to practice somehow. Don't want to be a bad kisser," Dex said sheepishly. I chuckled.

"Never have I ever dyed your hair a wonky color," Dex says. Dex, Fitz, and Linh raised their hands. Keefe didn't surprise me when he didn't raise his. I figured he wouldn't want to ruin The Hair. It's his favorite thing about himself, and he wouldn't want to ruin that. "Wait, why did you try, Fitz?" I asked him. "Eh, wanted to look cool to boost my ego," he replied. I rolled my eyes. That didn't surprise me. Always wanting to do things that made him look good.

"Okay, I've never done anything really embarrassing!" I said to them. It wasn't my best, but I tried. All of us raised our hands. I figured as much; you can't really avoid embarrassment. After a few more questions, we stopped and decided to just talk. I told them some things about the Forbidden Cities, the best way I could because it's hard to explain some things without seeing it. Others you just have to experience for yourself.

Keefe's POV:

I'm glad there was no drama today. It was nice to just hang out with our friends and have a good time. We didn't feel like doing anything wild, so we just relaxed and asked some juicy questions. Eventually, we all got tired and went to bed. I was waiting for Foster to come back after brushing her teeth.

I realized it's been much longer than usual, so I got up and left the room to find her. I searched in a few places, but she's not there. I go downstairs and look around, then I glance out the window and see her looking up at the stars. I walked out to join her and sat down next to her. I turn to her and ask,

"What are you doing out here for?" I asked her.

"The stars are so beautiful tonight, and to be honest, they are like nothing I've ever seen before. I never really had a good chance to really look at them," Foster says happily, placing her head on my shoulder. "This life is more than I could have ever imagined. I'm just glad I get to live it with you by my side," she says, sighing. "Me too, Foster. I'm glad you walked into my life. Everything lit up once you came, turning the bad into good things. Reminding me that there's some good in the world. You just have to look for it."

As I turned to face her, my heart filled with adoration for this girl. Her smile lit up her brown eyes, revealing golden flecks. It was a beautiful moment, and I wouldn't change a thing. All I ever wanted was love, and I found it in her.

We leaned towards each other, and our lips met for another kiss. I love the way they feel, always so beautiful and magical. Kissing the person my heart loves is amazing. The stars are shining, but nothing is as beautiful as my sweet Foster. As we end the kiss, we embrace each other.

"I love you Keefe." Foster says

"I love you too Foster." I say happily.

We spent a little more time watching the stars, stealing cheek kisses here and there. Eventually, we headed to bed and snuggled up, embracing our warmth.

I love this girl, and I will love her now and forever.
