"Consistency is the key to success regardless what you are doing. Being consistent isn't about obtaining fast results. Rather, it's about making incremental progress and improvements over a longer horizon."
Be it at work, personal, it demands consistency to accomplish your dreams. Essentially, consistency can be attributed to every aspect of life.
In your personal life, success is determined by consistency. A fruitful and long-lasting relationship is bore out of consistency. Every human being needs consistency in love, friendship, and every emotion. This is the reason why when you are in a relationship, you want your partner to be caring, loving, and faithful throughout the lifetime. And in the case which a partner fails in doing so, the relationship is ruined.
Likewise, being consistent in your professional life is critical. Having consistent performance at work allows you to gain trust and positive reviews from your bosses and colleagues. Consistency in performance is only possible with consistent hard work and commitment.
Thus, consistency is the key to success regardless what you are doing. In order to be consistent, it involves commitment on your part. It expects you to commit yourself to a sustained effort of action over the long-term. Being consistent is about developing small empowering habits and routines that you partake daily that keep you focused on your highest priorities and goals.
Yet, many people actually struggle with the idea of staying consistent over the long-term as they only live for the moment. They are unable to comprehend how the actions they take today and the consistent actions they take over time will impact them many years down the road. As such, such people ended up being consistently inconsistent. Unconsciously, it became a way of life to them. A way of life which they are completely convinced and will not change.
Unfortunately, little did people realize that inconsistency is the seedbed for the death of success. As inconsistency creeps in, it will not be long before complacency takes control and kills momentum. The seeds of inconsistency yield weeds of fear and doubt, resulting in a harvest of indecision. Mountains mount up, momentum loses traction, and everything goes to a waste.
To put it bluntly, forget it if you aren't going to stick with it – You started off on a good start, yet halfway you decided to throw in the towel and quit ultimately as the commitment required was more than you were willing to give.
Inconsistency is the explanation for losing teams in sports; the difference between highly successful corporations and those who struggle to make payroll, much less a profit.
At the end of the day, you cannot succeed consistently unless you are successfully consistent.
