Kayla's POV

three weeks later.....

It's been three weeks since I have seen, Michael or chance. After New York they ended up just continuing the radio tours that they have been doing.  I still text them , but lately I have been busy with writing new songs, and practices, and I decided after all to put Jayden in little league football. So he's recently started practices and then we've just been spending a lot of time together. We've also been spending a lot of time with our uncle josh and aunt Melissa, she's coming up on being four months pregnant. So it's almost coming up on the time to find out the gender of the baby, it's exciting stuff.  Anyways right now I am just sitting at home, scrolling through my social media accounts.Jayden is at school and then afterwards has practice. Nathan wanted Jayden for the weekend so he'll be the one picking up Jayden. So basically I am alone this weekend. I am pulled out of my thoughts when  I suddenly hear my phone ring. I see that it is shawnee so I answer. right away.

" hey shawnee! " I say answering the phone.

" hey Kayla , are you doing anything this weekend by chance?" she asked me.

" um no, it's just me this weekend, Nathan has Jayden and emeraude , Matt and ,harry are busy filming this weekend so it's just me why?" I asked her.

"well because I was thinking of taking Brooklyn to go see chance, since she hasn't seen him in 3 weeks, but something came up with aspen and I can't after all, so I thought of asking if you if your weren't busy, if you wouldn't mind taking the trip to surprise chance, so he could see her." she says and I smile.

"yea, I would love to take Brooklyn to surprise chance, but I don't even know where they are right now." I tell her.

" oh no worries, I was just talking to him this morning and he said they are in Florida and they are going to be there for a couple days and you would leave tomorrow morning which is Thursday and be back by Monday. I already have the tickets and everything." she says and I smile.

"alright, yes I'll take Brooklyn to surprise chance." I tell her 

" thank you so much, and the guys manager already knows your coming and I told him not to tell any of the guys. so you should be good." she says and I laugh.

" heh , ok sounds good, I guess I will come pick up Brooklyn in the morning then?" I ask her.

"nonsense , I will pick you up and take you to the airport, " she says 

" are you sure shawnee I can drive us." I tell her.

" don't worry sweetheart, I will drive you all and then pick you up when you return. I insist " she says and I finally say ok. we say our goodbyes and hang up. I get up and start packing a small bag of clothes for the trip. once I am done I get a FaceTime call from chance. I smile and answer.

"Hey, what a surprise, to what do I owe this honor." I say , then I start laughing.

"heheh, nothing really, I was just bored, all the other guys are in the store buying groceries for the house and I didn't feel like it so I stayed outside, thought I would see how your doing." he said

" well thats very sweet of you , you actually saved me from boredom.  no ones home, and it will be like that for the weekend." I tell him pulling my knees to my chest.

" oh really where's Jayden ?" he asks.

"um, well right now he should be at football practice but afterwards Nathan wanted him for the weekend.so ergo I am home alone." I say.

" aw, well I am sorry , well hows everything been for you, I know with the band being busy we haven't gotten a chance to talk " he says and I give him a smile.

"everything is good, just you know been doing some songwriting and had practices for dance and cheer, and I actually signed Jayden up for football." I tell him.

" oh you did now huh? how is that going?" he asked chuckling.

" heh, it's going good, he likes it a lot, and it's nice to see him enjoy it." I tell him.

"that's good, how's Melissa and josh?" he asks.

"they're good, Melissa is coming up on four months so soon enough we can find out the gender. so its exciting stuff." I tell him.

" thats great, I'm happy for them." he says and I agree. 

" so what are you're plans for the weekend?" he asked 

" um, you know just. probably Hang around here, go visit Melissa and josh, what about you?" I asked 

"just do the radio tour tomorrow and then were off for a few days. We get to just chill her for a while." he says 

"well thats cool." I tell him. We continue to talk more, until the rest of the guys came out of the store. I said bye to chance and then we hung up the phone. I went and showered and changed and then I set an alarm for the morning and then I call and say goodnight to Jayden then I fall asleep.

The next morning.....

my alarm went off at 6:30 in the morning  shawnee would be her at 7, the flight is at 8:45.i got up and got dressed into:

then I got my bag and went downstairs to eat some breakfast. I went on my phone until I heard the door ring. I  went to answer it and I saw shawnee there.

" hey shawnee!" I say hugging her.

" hey Kayla you ready we gotta leave now." she asked and I nodded. I grabbed bag and locked the house and walk to the car. I see Brooklyn is still asleep and I smile at the sight. Shawnee then drives us to the airport.

once we arrive at the airport, shawnee gives me the tickets and we get out and go to check in. once that is done, she says her goodbyes to us and now we are left waiting for our flight to be called.

"Brooklyn you ready to see daddy?" I asked her, and she giggles

" yes, I want to see daddy." she says and I smile.

" I know I'm excited to see him also." I tell her smiling. Soon enough our flight is called and we board and head to Florida. 

once we landed I situated Brooklyn on my hip and grabbed our bags. apparently the guys manager was coming to pick us up.

" Kayla so nice to see you again." I hear John say and I smile.

" hey John." I say giving him a side hug.

" here let me take those for you.So the guys are home now so we're good. you ready?" he asks and I look. down at Brooklyn.

"you ready to see daddy Brooklyn?" I ask her.

" yea." she says and we get in the car. John drives us to the house and we went inside. Brady and drew were in the living room so they saw us instantly. I motioned for them to stay quiet.

" hey guys, I missed you all." I say giving them hugs.

" what are you doing here ?" they asked 

"well I came with Brooklyn and thought I would surprise chance , where is he by the way?" I asked them. 

" he is in his room it's upstairs 2nd door on the right." Brady says smiling. I nod and with Brooklyn make my way up to his room. I knock on his door and I hear a faint ' come in' I decide to make this more fun and I open the door and tell Brooklyn to run in there first. once she does I hear 

"Brooklyn! what are you doing here cutie ?" he asked her and I took that as my cue.

" well I figured she had gone too long without seeing you, so I brought her." I said and he smiled and got up and hugged me tightly.

"I can't believe you did this, it's amazing" he said hugging me again I just laugh.

"well it was your mothers idea, so thank her too." I tell him and he goes back to Brooklyn and I smile at the sight. then I remember something.

" hey where is Michael?" I asked chance.

"oh he is in his room, it two doors down." he said and I nod

" I will be right back then." I say making my way to his room. I knock on the door.

"come in" I hear him say. I open the door and see his back turned towards me. He is on his computer. I smile and sneak up on him and when I reach him I wrap my arms around him and kiss his cheek.

" Hi." I say and he turns around and smiles and hugs me tightly .

" Kayla what are you doing here?" he asked

" well shawnee asked me if I would bring Brooklyn to surprise chance , and I figured I would surprise you too." I say and he smiles.

"it's a nice surprise, I missed you." he said kissing my lips.

" I missed you too." I said. we sit on his bed and continue to talk and catch up, then we go downstairs and continue to hang out with the other guys and chance and Brooklyn. we sit on the couch and I sit next to Michael who is on my right and chance and Brooklyn who is on my left. we decide to order pizza and watch a movie. that's what we do for the rest of the night.
