Kashi, the ancient city of temples, was glowing with the soft rays of the morning sun. The streets were still and quiet, except for the distant sound of temple bells and the soothing chanting of the temple song that echoed through the air. The city was bathed in a golden hue, and it seemed as if the very air was charged with a divine energy.

As Srishti stepped out of her house, she could feel the calm and serene atmosphere of the city. She took a deep breath and looked around, taking in the beauty of the city that she had grown up in. The temples and ghats, the winding lanes and alleys, the sounds of the river Ganga flowing by - everything seemed so familiar and yet so magical.

Srishti walked towards the temple of Mahadev, which was just a few steps away from her house. As she approached the temple, she could see that it was already crowded with devotees, all eager to offer their prayers to Lord Shiva. The fragrance of incense and flowers filled the air, and the sound of bells and cymbals added to the festive atmosphere.

Srishti joined the queue of devotees and waited patiently for her turn to offer her prayers. As she entered the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, she felt a surge of energy that filled her with a sense of peace and calm. She lit a diya and offered flowers and sweets to Lord Shiva, thanking him for all the blessings he had bestowed upon her.

After completing her aarti and taking the blessings of Mahadev, Srishti stepped out of the temple feeling lighter and more content. She looked around and noticed that the city had come to life, with people going about their daily chores and vendors setting up their stalls. The morning sun was now shining brightly, casting a warm glow on everything around.

As Srishti arrived home, she saw that the workers were already hard at work, preparing for her mehndi and sangeet ceremony. Even though it was still early in the day, there was a flurry of activity, with people rushing here and there, arranging flowers, setting up tables, and making sure everything was in place for the big event.

As she watched the workers move around, a sense of nervousness settled in Srishti's stomach. She knew that the mehndi and sangeet ceremony marked the beginning of the celebrations leading up to her wedding, and the realization of the momentous occasion made her feel a mix of excitement and anxiety.

SRISHTI POV

Today is my Mehndi day and Aahan and I have been talking every day whenever he gets free. Over time, we have become quite close to each other and talk about a variety of topics. However, I have noticed that he tends to only ask me the same basic question every time: "Hi, how are you?" But what I find beautiful about our conversations is that he always gives me his full attention and patiently listens to whatever I have to say. Despite his seemingly limited repertoire of questions, his kind and attentive nature is what truly makes our conversations meaningful and special to me.

"Saru, today is your Mehndi," I whispered to myself as I gently patted my arm, lost in self-realization. It was a moment of introspection, a time to reflect on how far I had come

As I stood in front of the mirror, lost in my thoughts, my mother entered the room and announced that the Oberoi family would be arriving soon. "Saru, why are you not ready yet, beta? It's already 11 am," she said, suddenly hugging me. "Don't worry too much, everything will be alright," she whispered, trying to console me.

"Mumma, will you miss me?" I asked, tightening my grip on her waist as tears streamed down my face.

"Saru, chup bacha. I will miss you, not only me, but we all will miss you," she replied, looking at me with love and kissing my forehead. "Come on, let's go. It's not time for your Vidai, and we don't want to cry now," she added with a little chuckle, trying to hide her own tears.

Just then, Sneha entered the room, trying to cheer me up. We all laughed and chatted, enjoying the last few moments of my unmarried life. However, our happiness was short-lived as a message from an unknown number left me horrified. As i read that letter it states

hey,
ishu how are you. and how can you marry aahan . i will not make this happen.you don't deserve this all you will never

-H

but there is something something is not correct from last this is second time in row when this mysterious person is writing this type of threat message every letter states that I don't deserve all this.

As I held the letter, my hands trembled with fear. Sneha was still standing beside me, her eyes fixed on my face as it shifted through a range of emotions. "Saru, what happened?" she asked, placing her hand on my shoulder. Her touch was reassuring, and I knew that she was there for me.."sneha- sneha vo ye"i said as i cant able to breath because of the panic. "Sneha, someone is sending me these threatening letters again," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. Panic was starting to set in, and I struggled to catch my breath.

"Saru, look at me," Sneha said, gently turning my face towards her. "Take a deep breath, in and out, one.. two.. three." Her calm voice helped me regain my composure. "But it had stopped four years ago, right?" she asked, trying to make sense of the situation.

"Yes, it had stopped, but now it's happening again back then they were motivating but now ," I said, tears streaming down my face. Sneha hugged me tightly, offering her support. "It's okay, Saru. We'll figure this out together," she said, trying to comfort me.

"Saru, did you receive any more letters recently?" Sneha asked me, her concern palpable in her voice. Her question made me remember the flower sequence I had been receiving for the past four weeks. At first, I thought they were from Aahan, but then I received that letter in the hospital. "Yes, not basically letters, but someone was sending me flowers for many days. And last week, someone sent me a letter, but that letter didn't have a threat. Instead, the person was congratulating me. Sneha, this is the second time I have received this type of threat message," I said, my mind racing with questions and fears.

"Saru, don't be afraid. Nothing will happen to you, okay? Forget about this thing. We will find a way to figure out who this 'H' person is. Firstly, don't panic. That person wants you to panic and cancel this marriage. But don't let this person achieve their goal. I know my jaan is too strong, haina?" Sneha reassured me while hugging me tightly. I hugged her back before nodding, but I still had a feeling that something was going to happen. For now, all I could do was ignore this thing.

After trying to call the mysterious person, Sneha's phone revealed that the number was switched off. We both sat down to eat something, but my mind was still preoccupied with the threatening letter. I felt a strong urge to tell Aahan everything about it. He was my rock, my support system.(accha ji)' my conscious said as I just brushed her off. I knew that he would help me find a solution to this problem.

As we got ready for my mehndi function, I felt a mixture of excitement and anxiety. My heart was racing as I thought about the letter, and I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was about to happen. But I tried to push those thoughts aside and focus on the happy occasion.

As we left for the function, I held on tightly to Sneha's hand. She looked at me and gave me a reassuring smile, reminding me that she was there for me. We arrived at the venue, and I scanned the crowd for Aahan. When I saw him, my heart skipped a beat, and I felt a rush of emotions.

AAHAN POV

I woke up to the mesmerizing morning of Kashi. The rays of the sun were slowly peeking through the ancient buildings, and the sound of the temple bells was filling the air with spirituality. The aroma of the sweet delicacies was already making me drool, and I knew today was going to be a memorable day. As I got ready for the mehndi ceremony, I couldn't contain my excitement. I was going to see Srishti today, and my heart skipped a beat just thinking about her. The beauty of Kashi was perfectly complementing the beauty of the day, and I felt blessed to be a part of this grand celebration.

"Shab aajayegi, itna toh obvious mat kar ki tu Srishti ko dhoondh raha hai," Aditya, my brother, said, making me blush. "Ohh Aahan, when did you start blushing?" He said in a loud voice, which made many heads turn. I felt embarrassed and coughed, saying, "Who is blushing? No one. So shut up!" before moving towards Bhabhi. Now it's my turn to make Bhai embarrassed. "Bhabhi, bhai bol raha tha unhe bhi couple dance karna hai," i said, which made both Sarika and Aditya blush as Abhi jumped in between their conversation.

"Chachu, me too! Mujhe bhi karna hai," Adhi said without knowing what type of assignment was going on. In confusion, Aahan asked, "Kya? Couple dance?" Abhi just nodded innocently. "Haan toh apni companion ko dhoondho," Aahan said with a small chuckle.

"Companion kaise banega?" Abhi asked innocently. Aahan sat down to match Abhi's height and said, "Jo yahaan tumhe sabse sundar ladki lage, use companion bana lo." In response, Abhi said, "Haan, toh main Angel se puchh kar aata hu." He tried to run from there, but Aahan held him. Both his parents started laughing, and Aditya said, "Aahan, yahaan toh competition hone ka halat hai."

"Nahi, Abhi. She is mine. Aur kisi ko dhoondho," Aahan said in response. Abhi pouted and put his small hands on his hips, saying, "Chachu, aap kisi aur ko dhoondho. She is mine!" He mimicked Aahan, which made Aditya laugh so hard that people started looking at him as if they have seen a ghost. Sarika gently slapped his hand to signal him not to embarrass himself.

After having a small fight about Srishti and the topic of "Srishti kiski hai," Aahan emerged victorious, showing his hand in a victory gesture towards Abhi as if mocking him, saying, "Look, I already told you." Abhi was on the verge of crying and ran towards his mother. Sarika just laughed at her son's performance.

AUTHOR POV

As Srishti gracefully stepped onto the sprawling lawn, her emerald green anarkali dress billowed around her like a gentle breeze. Sneha, her best friend, chatted away beside her, but Srishti's thoughts were elsewhere. She couldn't help but feel a flutter in her chest as she saw Aahan standing in the distance, looking handsome in his green shirt and white trousers.

As he caught sight of Srishti, Aahan's heart skipped a beat. She looked absolutely stunning, and he couldn't help but feel drawn to her. He strode towards her with purpose, his eyes never leaving hers. Srishti felt her heart racing as he approached, the world around her fading away until all that remained was Aahan.

As they stood face to face, the air around them crackled with electricity. Aahan reached out to take Srishti's hand, and she felt a jolt of warmth spread through her body. They gazed into each other's eyes, their connection growing stronger by the second.

In that moment, the world stood still, and all that mattered was the bond between them. The gentle rustling of the leaves in the breeze, the distant sounds of laughter and music, all faded into the background as they shared a magical moment together. Srishti felt her heart fill with joy as Aahan leaned in closer, his breath warm on her cheek.

As they stood there, lost in their own little world a cough was heard

"Ahem ahem, kal kar lena ye romance. Romance kya, tumhe room hi de denge. Ok JIJA JI," Sneha said, making them both blush. As she moved towards the other side of the lawn, Aahan leaned towards Srishti's ear. Since the height difference wasn't significant, it was easy for him to whisper, "Koi puch raha tha kya mujhe chand pasand hai, ab kya btau usko mera to khubsurat hi itna hai." He then started walking somewhere else, giving Srishti a wink.

At first, Srishti was confused, but after a few seconds, a small smile appeared on her lips as she blushed. She remembered one time on their call at night how she had asked Aahan about the moon, saying, "Aahan, aaj chand kitna sundar lag raha hai na?" and he had just hummed in response. At this moment, she knew she had just been played.

After Aahan had given Srishti a wink and walked away, she stood there for a moment, still feeling a little flustered from his flirty comment. Finally, she took a deep breath and headed towards the mini tent where the mehndi artist was sitting. As she approached, she could see that there were a few other ladies already seated and getting their mehndi done.

Srishti greeted the artist and then showed her the design she had in mind. After a brief discussion, the artist got to work, carefully applying the intricate henna design onto Srishti's palms. As the minutes ticked by, Srishti tried to relax and enjoy the process, but her mind kept wandering back to Aahan's flirty remark. She couldn't help but wonder if he was just teasing her or if he was really interested in her.

Just as Srishti was lost in her thoughts, Sneha came up to her in a teasing tone. "Ooh, Srishti, lagta hai kuch kuch ho raha hai," she said while humming a tune, gesturing to Srishti's flushed cheeks. Srishti tried to play it cool, but she knew that Sneha had noticed something was up.

The two friends chatted for a few more minutes before Sneha decided to get her own mehndi done. As she sat down next to Srishti, she continued to tease her about Aahan's flirtatious behavior. Srishti couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed, but she also knew that Sneha meant well and was just trying to have some fun.

Sneha, being pregnant and sensitive to the smell of mehndi, requested the artist to create a small design that would dry quickly. Two hours later, Srishti's mehndi was finally completed, and she felt exhausted and hungry. She scanned the area in search of someone to help her with her food.

First, she searched for her brother, who was holding Devu and attempted to feed her. Second, she looked around for her father, but he was nowhere to be found. With only one option left, she tried to locate Aahan among the many guests. Eventually, she spotted him sitting in the mini-bar area. When she looked at him, she noticed that he was already gazing at her while taking a sip from his glass.

As he noticed her eyes on his glass, he gave her a wink. After a few minutes, he walked towards her, already aware of why she had been searching for him with her eyes. Upon reaching her, he playfully asked, "Kya hua, Mrs.?" In response, Srishti simply rolled her eyes, and Aahan playfully mirrored her gesture.(what happened?)

"Kya aap kyun roll kar rahe ho aankhein?" she retorted. Aahan just shrugged his shoulders. Since Srishti was hungry and didn't want to beat around the bush, she confidently stated, "Humein khana khana hai," sounding more like a request than an order. Her voice betrayed her, and Aahan chuckled, saying, "Haan toh kha lo, koi ruk thodi raha hai," teasingly. Srishti was taken aback; this person had professed his love for her, and now he had the audacity to act this way.(why are you rolling your eyes?)

"Kya soon-to-be Mrs. ho tumhari, khana khilao mujhe. Mere haath mein mehndi lagi hai," she said slowly, emphasizing the "soon-to-be Mrs." part. Aahan raised his hands in surrender and replied, "Ji, Mrs." With that, he went to fetch her food.

As Aahan settled beside Srishti to feed her, he couldn't help but gaze at her with immense love in his eyes. She appeared incredibly beautiful with the mehndi on her hands and her blushing face. Offering her a bite of chapati, she suddenly bit his finger playfully and burst into laughter. Aahan couldn't resist her infectious laughter and joined in, captivated by how cute she looked with her eyes crinkled up and her lips stretched wide.

After a while, Aahan leaned in closer to her ear and whispered, "Jaan." The sound of his voice sent shivers down Srishti's spine, and she turned to him with a curious look. But before she could inquire about his words, he slowly nibbled on her earlobe, causing her to freeze in place.

Srishti's heart pounded in her chest as she struggled to catch her breath. Aahan couldn't help but chuckle at her stunned expression, but he was also thrilled to see her so entranced by his touch.

"Gotcha," Aahan said with a grin, relishing the moment.

Srishti blushed even harder at the teasing tone in his voice. "You're such a—such a... psycho," she said, attempting to sound annoyed but failing to hide her smile.

Aahan just laughed and continued to feed her, savoring the closeness between them.

As they were talking, Isha approached and sat beside Srishti. Aahan took the plate and stepped away, glancing at Srishti to see if she needed anything else. After confirming that she didn't, he moved toward the bar section, giving them some space. Srishti stared at him again, and Aahan just gave her a smirk.

Upon seeing Isha, Srishti began to question her, "Isha, where were you? I was trying to contact you for so many days."

"I'm sorry, Srishti. My mom's health was not good, and I was unsure of what to do," Isha replied.

Srishti followed up, "Is aunty okay now?"

"Yes, she's perfectly fine now," Isha said with a smile. After some more conversation about various topics, Isha told Srishti how stunning her mehndi looked. Srishti responded, "Well then, you should go get mehndi applied as well, and beware if I don't see you at the sangeet."

"Mention not, darling. Oberoi family ko aaj harayenge hum kyun, Isha?" Sneha asked as she approached them, directing her questions towards Isha.

As they continued their conversation, Srishti's mother joined them and noticed that Srishti's mehndi was starting to dry. She suggested that Srishti take a break and asked Sneha to assist in applying a solution to make the mehndi color darker. Isha, on the other hand, headed towards the mehndi artist to get her own mehndi done.

Overall, they all had a wonderful time, and the mehndi ceremony was a resounding success.
