It wasn't long before I turned sixteen and I found myself spending most of my time at Peter's instead of at my own house. The house felt empty and I hate it. I hated that there was no more laughing. I hated that everywhere I went I saw Daniel and I heard his voice.
"Where did you even get that?" I asked as I watched Peter play the PacMan game.
"If I told you then I'd have to kill you." Peter teased.
I shook my head and smiled as I threw a pillow at him.
"Peter! The cops are here. Again." Peters mother yelled.
I heard footsteps and froze when I saw three men walk down the stairs. I quickly turned to look at Peter and saw him playing table tennis with himself.
"What do you guys want? I didn't do anything." Peter said before he sped to the couch. "I've been here all day with (Y/n)."
"Just relax, Peter. We're not Cops." One of them said.
"Of course you're not. If you were, you wouldn't be driving a rental car." Peter said as he picked up his drink.
I turned around and went stiff as I found Charles, Hank, and a strange man behind me.
"How did you know we've got a rental car?" Charles asked in shock.
"I checked your registration when you were walking to the door. I also had some time to kill so I went through your rental agreement. Saw you were from out of town. Are you FBI?" He asked as he stole Charles' wallet. "No, you're not cops. Hey, what's with this gifted youngsters place?"
I watched him drop both the card and wallet to the floor and I let out a sigh as he sped over to his game.
"That's an old card."
"He's fascinating." Hank said as he watched Peter rush around the room.
"Don't make his head get any bigger." I said as I put my hands behind my head.
"He's a pain in the arise." Charles said annoyed.
"He is one of those." I said as I shit my eyes and crossed my legs.
"Ouch I thought you loved me." Peter playfully teased as he put a hand over his heart.
"What, a teleporter?" Hank asked with a frown.
"No, he just fast. And when I knew him he wasn't so... young." The man next to them explained.
"Young? You're just old." Peter said with a smirk.
He let out a yelp as I threw a ball at him.
"So you're not afraid to show your powers?" Hank asked softly.
"What powers? What're you talking about? Do you see something strange here? Nothing anybody would believe if you told them. So, who are you? What do you want?" Peter asked from his game.
"We need your help, Peter." The other man explained.
"For what?" Peter asked calmly.
"To break into a highly secured facility and to get someone out."
"Prison break? That's illegal, you know." Peter said as he played is game.
"Um... Well, only if you get caught."
"So, what's in it for me?"
"You, you kleptomaniac, get to break into the Pentagon." Charles said calmly.
"How do I know I can trust you?"
"Because they are mutants." I said as I leaned against the couch.
They looked at me shocked and I smirked as I flipped the page in my magazine.
"Telepath." I said not looking up.
"So you know why we need his help?" The man asked with a frown.
"Yes, Logan I do. You need help freeing Erik Lensherr aka Magneto. You need his help to stop Mystique from killing Bolivar Trask and getting kidnapped, that way the world isn't ended by robots." I said as I rose to my feet.
"Who are you?" Logan asked as I walked up to Peter and leaned against the wall.
"MindStrike." I said as I looked up at Logan.
He nodded his head and I crossed my arms over my chest.
"So will you help?" Hank asked softly.
"If you want to help I'll let you, but I'm coming with." I thought, sending the message to Peter.
"So this would be like a date." He thought with a smirk.
I shook my head and held a laugh in.
"You are an idiot."
"Only for you."
I rolled my eyes and ran my hands thru my hair.
"We are in." Peter said out loud.
Before I knew it we were at the Pentagon and I could feel my heart racing in my chest. It had been years since I had seen Erik, would he recognize me? Would I recognize him? If he did know it was me, then would he be happy to see me? Or would I just be something from his past that he never wanted to think about again?
I let out a sigh as I stood beside Peter, my nails digging into my arms.
"Ready?" Peter asked as he sent me a smile.
I gave him a nod and he zipped us into the elevator. I knocked the guy out, before letting Peter duct tape him to the wall.
"Told you this would be easy." Peter said as he picked up the tray.
"We haven't got Erik yet, stay vigilant." I said as I hid beside the door.
"Be back in a flash." He said as he shot me a wink.
The doors open and he walked out in the guards clothes. I hid against the wall while I waited for them to make it back. I let out a sigh as I closed my eyes and scanned the minds of everyone in the building, hoping that everything was going good. I heard the alarm go off and felt a gust of wind. I opened my eyes and saw Erik hunched over, the door slamming shut behind them.
"It'll pass, it happens to everyone. You must've done something serious. What you do? What you do? What you do? Why did they have you in there?" Peter asked with a smirk.
"For killing the President." Erik said as he leaned against the wall.
"Oh... Shit!" Peter whispered as he looked at me.
"If there's one thing I'm guilty of, it's fighting for people like us." Erik said softly.
"You take karate? You know karate, man?"
"I don't know karate. But I know crazy."
Erik leaned against the wall, his eyes sliding open to meet my gaze. His eyes narrowed as he looked me over.
"Do I know you?" He asked with a frown.
"No." I said as I looked away from him.
"You okay?" Peter asked in my head.
"I'm fine." I whispered as I pushed off the wall.
"You sure?" He asked.
"Headache." I mumbled as I rolled my shoulders.
He nodded his head and I let out a sigh as I looked around the elevator.
It wasn't a headache, it was a heartache. I had wanted to tell him my name, I wanted to scream it at him and remind him of his promise to me, but I hadn't. I had pretended to not know him, I had acted like he hadn't destroyed my whole life and stole my aunt from me.
I let out a sigh as I waited for the elevator stop.
"They told me you control metal." Peter said as he leaned against the wall.
"They?" Erik asked as he turned to look at Peter.
"You know, my mom once knew a guy who could do that." Peter said causing me to roll my eyes.
Soon the elevator stopped and I let out a sigh of relief. The door opened and I saw Logan and Charles outside.
"Charles?" Erik said shocked.
Charles reared back and punched him making him hit the ground.
"Good to see you too, old friend. And walking." Erik said as he stood up.
"No thanks to you." Charles said angrily.
"You're the last person in the world I expected to see today."
"Believe me... I wouldn't be here if I didn't have to. If we get you out of here, we do it my way. No killing."
"No helmet. I couldn't disobey you even if I wanted."
"I'm never getting inside of that head again. I need your word, Erik." Charlies hissed out.
Erik nodded his head and I let out a groan as my back hit the wall behind me. I felt eyes on me and looked up to see Logan watching me.
"Is she going to lose it?" He thought with a frown.
"Are you okay?" Peter asked as he looked down at me.
"I need to get out of here!" I gasped out.
A thousand thoughts past through my head and it was putting a strain on me to keep control of my powers. Peter sent me a nod and we started to leave, but six guards walked into the kitchen and aimed their guns.
"Nobody move! Hold it right there!" One of them yelled.
"Charles." Erik whispered.
"Don't move. Hands up, or we will shoot!"
"Freeze them, Charles." Erik ordered.
"I can't." Charles said with a frown.
"Hands up!"
The metal around us started to shake as a hundred minds hit me at once.
"Quiet!" I yelled as I felt my self lose control of my powers.
The guards flew back and landed on their backs as Peter deflected their bullets. Peter rushing to my side as I hit the ground holding my head.
"I got you. Focus on my voice." Peter said as he gently took me in his arms.
"I... I can't!" I screamed as tears streamed down my face.
"What about (Y/n).... (Y/n) Xavier?"
"And this spitfire is my daughter, (Y/n). Wanna say hi to my new friends?"
I screamed as pain coursed thru me, this wasn't my memory, non of these were mine. I was in pain, but I was also curious as to why they were thinking of me.
"Yes, you did! How could you not tell me..... that you're a freak! Oh god! What if (Y/n) is like you?"
A sob left my lips as I buried my face in my knees, Peter's arms coming around me as he rubbed my back.
"Neither of us plan on going anywhere."
"Erik and Raven love you, but they had to leave. I'm sorry that you don't understand it right now, but I hope one day you will."
"Look, I'm not trying to take your dad's place. Your mother told me about how you haven't seen or even talked to him in two years and I want to be not just apart of your mom's life but yours too, I hope you'll give me a chance."
"My mother use to tell me that everyone leaves, but only those that love you, come back to you."
"(Y/n), I'm not going to promise to stay with you and your mother forever, but I will promise to love you with my dying breathe. No matter what happens, you will always be the most important thing in my life and I promise that even if I was to leave, I'll never forget about you."
"Everyone is going to love you. And if you start a fight then I'm just one call away."
"I'd be there for you. I wouldn't push you away. (Y/n) are my daughter, no matter what anyone else thinks. You mean the world to me and nothing will change that." He said as he smiled down at me. "Not even you being a mutant."
"A family of three that came to Paris with the intention of helping Paris have been attacked. Sadly there was only two survivors of the Shomron family."
"42 year old Daniel Shomron was in his apartment with 7 year old David Shomron when four gunmen broke in."
"The four gunmen along with their leader was killed when some type of blast hit them... but sadly it was too late, for one of the Shomron's."
"Daniel Shomron was killed after using his own body to shield that of his son's. Doctors say that if Daniel hadn't of done this that both he and David would have been kill- I'm sorry, this just in, David Shomron, the seven year old boy, for reasons unknown has just went into a coma."
An image of me sitting in my living room listening to the news popped up and I felt the whole building shake as a sob left my lips.
"What's going on with her?" Hank asked as he rushed into the room.
"She needs a minute!" Peter snapped.
"She needs to calm down." Logan said as he walked towards me.
"She will in a second! There's just a lot of people-"
"SHUT UP!" I screamed sending Logan across the room.
My eyes opened and I appeared in a different room. It looked like a temple of sorts, Logan was on the bed and a girl was touching his head. My eyes narrowed as I walked up to them.
"(Y/n)." A bald man said in shock.
"(Y/n)? What of (Nickname)?" Another man asked in shock.
"She's here." The man said as he stared up at me.
The room faded as he reached out to touch me.
"(Y/n)!" Peter yelled.
Tears streamed down my face as I felt him start to shake me.
"MindStrike!" He screamed.
My eyes went wide and I looked up at him. He looked at me sadly and I felt my eyes start to droop as I fell forward. He gently caught me as everything went dark.
