'WRONG NUMBER'

chapter twenty-nine

the boys left for the meet and greet so i went back to daniel's dressing room and chilled. when the meet and greet was over we all went back to the bus. we were all sitting on the couches in the bus talking. my phone went off and all the guys looked around to see whose it was.

"it's mine." i said to them.

it was a call from paige.

"hey, what's going on? why did you call?" i ask once i answer.

"a lot is going on! literally the fandom knows you and daniel are dating." she says.

"what! how?" i say raising my voice a little, causing everyone to look at me.

"i don't know. there are videos and pictures of you guys getting off the bus and then on girl on her account said that it was you and it is spreading really fast." she says.

i let out a sigh and remember all the things that the guys were telling me earlier.

"look, i have to go, i'll talk to you soon." i say.

"bye." she says.

"bye." i say and end the call.

"who was that?" he says with a confused look plastered across his face.

"it was paige." i answer.

"oh okay." he says.

i then explain to them what she had said. i opened instagram to try to find some accounts to show them. when i got on the app i was flooded with new follows, and dm's.

all why don't we fan accounts. after showing them an account we all talked and tried to think of solutions and other stuff. after a while it was really late so we all headed off to bed. before getting into his bunk daniel came over to mine and opened the curtain a little.

"i just wanted to let you know that i love you." he said with a smile.

my heart stopped for a second. my face reddened at what daniel had just said. a smile then formed on my face.

"i love you too." i said back.

"but now that a lot of people know about us they're going to say stuff, stuff they don't actually mean, they just want to get to you, and they are just jealous." he says to me.

i just nod. he gives me and quick peck which makes me smile. he then brushes the hair out of my face.

"goodnight." daniel says.

"goodnight." i say with a small smile.

a few days later

a few days had passed and we were now in philadelphia. the boys had just finished their show and they were off to the meet and greet.

daniel's pov

being able to get to spend all this time with lexi is great, so i was thinking of getting her a promise ring. i've never felt this way about someone before and i just wanna get her a little something because she is just an amazing girlfriend in general.

my cousin makes jewelry so i asked her a couple days ago to make one for me so that i could give it to lexi. i had texted her a couple days ago and she said she was gonna start making one.

i was snapped back into reality when the next fan was brought over for the meet and greet.

about twenty minutes the meet and greet ends and i go back to my dressing room to grab lex to bring her back to the bus.

it's kinda become a routine, when it's time for the meet and greet lexi goes into my dressing room and chills. and then when the meet and greet is over i go back and pick her up. then we head back to the bus.

lexi's pov

we were all back in the bus and i decided to head off to bed because i was really tired. i grabbed my pj's and my bag of skincare and stuff like that. i then headed into the tiny bus bathroom.

i changed and quickly did my skincare routine. when i was done i walked out, said my good nights to everyone, and then headed to my bunk.

i got all nice and comfy and drifted off to sleep. i woke up the next morning and we were in the pittsburgh area. at this point most of the fandom had known that me and daniel were dating. most people, like 70% were nice about it and supported us, but the other 30% hated it and didn't support it.

i tried not to look in my dm's and i only focused on the good and nice comments. i would reply to some here and there like i usually do.

i had gained a lot more following on instagram and me and gemma had gained a lot more on youtube, i guess that's nice, but i feel like people are only following me because of daniel, or only subscribing because of daniel. it just feels like i didn't actually earned those fans and all.

daniel's pov

my cousin said the ring would be ready in 3 days which was perfect because she lives in chicago and that's where we are going in a couple of days so i would just pick it up then. ahhhh, i'm so excited to give the ring to her.
