As soon as their classes had ended, Elizabeth wanted to head home. She had a day filled with embarrassment and physical pain, she was tired.
"Hey, i'm going home early today." Elizabeth told Diane, "I understand, go get some rest. Yeah?"
Elizabeth nodded, standing up and taking her bag. But before she could take a step forward, Diane stopped her. "Hey, you have someone to pick you up."
Elizabeth rose her brow at her. "It's probably my sis-- that is neither of my sisters."
"Yeah, since he's a guy and is blond." Diane laughed, looking at Elizabeth. "Why is he here?" She asked Diane. "No idea."
"I'll be going." Elizabeth told Diane, who nodded. As soon as she got to the door, she noticed that Meliodas was alone. "Hey."
He looked up from his phone and smiled at her, "Hi.", "Who're you here for? Did you have your classes mixed up? You're in 12th grade."
Meliodas rolled his eyes, "Funny, Elizabeth." He then put his phone in his pocket, "I was actually here for you." This made Elizabeth's eyes widen, "wait, why?"
"I feel bad for surprising you and this suddenly happened." Meliodas gestured at her back. "None of that is your fault, i'm just really clumsy. Even when sitting down." Elizabeth laughed.
"More the reason for me to walk you home." Meliodas chuckled, making her face palm. "Smooth."
"Alright, but only today since you feel guilty." Elizabeth smiled, and they walked out of the school.
"I still have a lingering question though." Meliodas suddenly said, making her nervous. "Why were you on our floor?"
Ah, there it is.
"Well," Let's just say Elizabeth doesn't like lying. "I was just curious, I never went up there."
"Really? Not once?" Meliodas asked, surprised. "If you count today, then today was the first. It isn't really our territory at the moment, so I didn't bother."
"And since I know your section, I looked for it." Elizabeth told him, "Ah, explains why Ban told me you were peeping in our class."
"I wasn't! I just happened to be looking inside and he was staring out the door!" Elizabeth exclaimed, embarrassed.
"Yeah, he was waiting for me." Meliodas chuckled, "Huh?" She asked, confused.
"I'm always late, if you couldn't tell." He shrugged. "I also know you don't go to school much."
Meliodas looked at her and grinned, "Someone did her research~"
"I was curious!" She exclaimed, defensive. Getting a deeper shade of red by the second. "That's normal. And I do go to school, in my own terms."
"In your own terms?"
"When i'm not late, when i'm not exhausted and when i'm not lazy." Meliodas explained. "The latter one always gets me, though."
"You were late today though?" Elizabeth asked, "Was I?"
Elizabeth rose her brow in confusion, "Who did you bump into this morning?"
A sudden flashback of her running towards school started playing, and there, she remembered the boy she bumped into and simply said sorry. "That was you?"
Meliodas nodded, laughing after seeing Elizabeth's surprised reaction. "You didn't look at me."
"I'm so sorry, this is so embarrassing! I've been embarrassing all day!" She apologized, groaning. Meliodas just laughed at her antics, "It's fine, i'm friends with Ban and King, they're embarrassing too."
"That doesn't make it any better." Elizabeth gave him a look, "At least you're not alone?" Meliodas suggested with a grin. She rolled her eyes and smiled. "Whatever, Meliodas."
Elizabeth looked up and saw her house nearby. "How's the whole bandage situation?" Meliodas asked, Elizabeth touched her back and shrugged. "It still hurts but at least it's not bleeding anymore."
"That's good to hear," Meliodas told her. "Does Ban really curse every time he says something?" Elizabeth suddenly asked, making Meliodas laugh out loud.
"Yes, yes he does." He said in between laughs, "He's trying to control it a bit, though." He added.
"Mind telling me more about your friends? I might find more staring at me with a glare." Elizabeth asked, making him chuckle.
"Not every friend of mine will glare at you, besides, that's just Ban's face. Big guys a softie." Meliodas shrugged, "really?'
"Yeah, he saw a pig cross a road once, it was about to be hit by a truck but he yelled at the driver and the truck stopped." Meliodas told her, making Elizabeth laugh.
"So he saved a pig?" She asked, he nodded. "So heroic." Elizabeth joked, making Meliodas chuckle.
"I guess the first time didn't really go the right way, the second time, he cursed like a sailor." Elizabeth explained.
"That's true. You'll get to see his true colors after some time. He hides them well under all that mean demeanor. " Meliodas shrugged, "I mean we gotta hide a few things, don't we?"
"I see your point, but what's funny here is that I didn't know you existed until I entered that cafe." Elizabeth told him, "Oh, right. You're the I give zero fucks type."
"Mhm." Elizabeth nodded, "Quite proud too."
"So, am I supposed to owe you a question session?" Meliodas rose his brow, Elizabeth knew where he was getting at and smirked. "Not right now."

It didn't take long until they got to Elizabeth's house, "Ah, second time this week." Meliodas chuckled, making Elizabeth roll her eyes.
"Yeah, sure." Elizabeth turned around, opening the gate.
"Will there be a third time?" Meliodas asked with a hopeful tone but with a joking face. "I'm not quite sure you're serious, Meliodas?" She asked with a smile.
"I am." Meliodas laughed, making her shake her head. "It'll come, Meliodas."
"So that's a yes?" He asked again, Elizabeth looked at him before entering. "Sure."
Meliodas did a tiny fist bump that Elizabeth saw, "Thanks for taking me home." She waved before finally turning around and walking inside.
Meliodas on the other hand, waited for her to close the door for him to leave with a grin across his face.
"So that basically approves of a second date." He chuckled to himself. He then headed to the cafe that they first met it.
Amour et café
"Afternoon, Meliodas." Natalie greeted, Meliodas gave her a smile. "Afternoon, boss."
