Elizabeth looked back to see her mother, Caroline Liones.

"What are you doing here?" Elizabeth asked, turning around. "I'm staying at a hotel nearby."

Elizabeth nodded, "Alright, see you around." She then turned around to continue walking back home but Caroline stopped her. "Wait!"

She stopped, "I have something important to tell you."

"Then say it already." Elizabeth faced her, arms crossed. "Can we at least talk at a decent place? Can we go to my hotel room to talk?"

Elizabeth sighed, "Alright, but not for too long."

The two of them entered Caroline's room and sat on one of the chairs. "What did you want to talk about?"

"You're probably suspicious, since I've just started talking to your sisters then now i'm here with you." Caroline calmly started.

"That's correct." Elizabeth shrugged, "What do you have in stored for me, mother? A shopping spree? Support for one of my games?"

Caroline shook her head, giving her a small box. "What's this?"

"Open it." Caroline told her. Elizabeth cautiously opened the box and it revealed a blue earring.

"Where's the other pair?" Elizabeth asked, Caroline chuckled. "There is no other pair, it's just that."

"What's this for?" Elizabeth questioned, "Are you bribing my trust?"

"Heavens, no!" Caroline exclaimed, "I bought that for you when I was in Switzerland. I wanted to give my daughters something when I would come back, but, that took longer than expected."

Elizabeth took a good look at the earring and looked at Caroline, "You planned to come back?"

"Of course, I knew it was wrong. I knew that you wouldn't accept me immediately, I know I hurt you. So, I planned to come back but so many things came up." Caroline explained.

"Don't you have a family out there?" Elizabeth asked refusing to look at her mother.

"No, how could I ever replace my angels?" Caroline told her, she just continued to look at other things.

"I know I did all those things, I regret everything now. I always wanted to see you and your sisters to grow up, but since I had already left, I couldn't bring myself to comeback." Caroline explained.

Elizabeth tried to fight back the tears that were threatening to leave her eyes. It got a lot harder to keep it in because Caroline proceeded to hug her.

"I'm so sorry about everything, I know you can't forgive me immediately, but please give me another chance to be with you and your sisters again." Caroline hugged her tightly, tears already streaming down her face.

Elizabeth still fought back the tears, she didn't know if she was supposed to giver her a chance or not.

"I'm sorry I couldn't be there when you got injured on that run, when I couldn't even help you when you were recovering, I'm so sorry that I was never there." That was what made Elizabeth hug her back and cried.

"I never thought that i'd get to hug you again." Elizabeth told her, muffled through the tears.

"Meliodas is your.. boyfriend?" Caroline asked, as soon as they were ready to talk.

Elizabeth shook her head, "Not yet."

"I like him for you." Caroline gave her a smile, "Don't be mad at him, but he helped me realize what I should do."

Elizabeth rose her brow, she never heard anything like that from him. "He probably didn't want to tell you while you were mad. But, before we ended our talk, she told me that he didn't want to see you stressing about me."

Caroline noticed as Elizabeth started to smile, "You're growing up like the other two. At least now, I can be there when you have a boyfriend."

And through the night, Caroline and Elizabeth took their time to catch up and tell stories until 2 am. Caroline knew more about Elizabeth that she'd never think her daughter would become and Elizabeth knew things about her mother that she'd never expect.

Nonetheless, Elizabeth's anger disappeared and Caroline was able to feel like she was connected with her daughter again.

It was as if they were never separated.

"Ban, what did you tell Elizabeth?" Meliodas asked the next day.

Ban went to hang out and get a cup of coffee from Amour et café before going to work. "Nothing, she'll tell you sooner or later~"

"That's the problem, she hasn't texted or called or anything ever since she went to your house." Meliodas told him. Ban rose his brow, "Elaine and I watched her leave~"

"What if something bad happened to her?" Meliodas asked, his hand on his chin. "Chill~ I'm sure she's fine. Did you text her?~"

"Yeah, but she hasn't replied." Meliodas answered, getting a bit more worried.

"Maybe--, oh~" Ban suddenly grinned, facing the door. Meliodas rose his brow, facing the door.

The two of them saw Elizabeth with her mother, walking towards the cafe. "I guess she was busy making things work~"

Meliodas sighed in relief, "Good thing she's fine."

As the two entered, they were greeted by Meliodas. "Good morning!" Elizabeth exclaimed,  happily.

"I'm so sorry I wasn't able to text last night, we were catching up." Elizabeth told him. Meliodas just chuckled, "It's alright. So, what would it be?"

"Iced latte and Iced mocha." Elizabeth told him, then went to look for a chair with her mother.

"She's really happy~" Ban chuckled, finishing his coffee. "Good job~" He put the mug in front of Meliodas and waved as he left the cafe.

Meliodas proceeded to go make their drinks and in a few seconds, they were made. He went on to serve them their coffee, "Here are your orders."

Elizabeth and Meliodas had a few seconds of eye contact until Caroline broke it. "Oh, Meliodas! I have something to tell you."

"What is it, ma'am?" Meliodas asked, bowing down a little. Caroline laughed as his customer service act. But for Elizabeth, she found it attractive.

"As a thank you, I planned a dinner party next week, since my husband is coming back. I would love for you to be Elizabeth's date on that night." Caroline smirked, making Meliodas blush.

Meliodas glanced at Elizabeth, who also looked surprised. He cleared his throat, "Sure thing, Mrs. Liones. If you'll excuse me, I have more orders to do."

"Alright~" Caroline waved at him as he left.

"Mother? What was that about? What dinner?' Elizabeth whispered, confused.

Caroline chuckled, "I know I've just entered your life all of the sudden, but i'm sure you've heard from your father that I loved match-making."

Elizabeth completely forgot that her mother was indeed in love with playing match-maker, and since Veronica and Margaret were already in relationships, they were free from their mother's shenanigans.

"It's a more interesting way rather than just giving you gifts all the time." Caroline waved her hand, chuckling.

Elizabeth wasn't even mad at her, she was actually excited.

"You have one more date, right?" Caroline eyed Elizabeth, making her avert her eyes to Meliodas, who was swiftly making drinks.
