"La la la, the flowers are blooming "

"Oh oh oh, the sun and waves are rising"

"La la la, it's another day to start another cheer"

"Because all is well in this family of meers"

The sweet harmony of the the children's voices clustering and combining with dave's wife's voice. The singing of their's is really pleasant for the ears. if ears could eat, this cheerful wonderfull melody would be very much like an addictive sweet tasty candy.

Not much for dear,ol' dirty blonde haired David(press f for him). The man had just crave for the sweet taste of silence and peace for so long, ever since the trip started but he gain nothing like that also the fact that his family had been singing and making noise for ages isn't helping whatsoever.

It's not like that he didn't like it when his family singing or just envies that his family had a much better voice than his, he just wanted quiet and peace. In a family of ten, peace was always not very daily for the father in the family.

In fact, he had to yell on the top of his lungs maybe about 20 times yesterday due to his children misbehaving and not listening to him so much that they got noise complaint from their next door neighbors.

David craved peace and quiet so bad because he wanted to relax. So much that he tried to block his ears from the family's sing along by wearing ear phones.

Not much of a family singing along due to the fact of him being only one not singing.

He was wearing dark blue colored earphones while driving, listening to old fashion opera music to help make self relax at least even a little.

The volume was to the maximum volume setting and looks like his family's voices are too playing at their loudest. It annoyed him but the music in his ears right now is the only thing that made him not lash out in front of his nine children and lovely wife.

He just kept his eyes and focus on the road while his ears are trying to block his family's singing until his wife gently pull out one piece of his ear phone from his ears.

He took a quick glance of his wife then at the split second his focus was turned into the road once again.

In the quick glance, he realized about something. Margaret, his wife and the mother of his children. She has lovely olive green eyes and has her red curly hair, looking young and  almost exactly stunning as the day where David fell for her back in high school.

For her own age, both of them were at there early 40's. she still amazingly looks so young and still gorgeous also her body is still in shape just like back in high school while David isn't.

He started to lose some hair, his back is getting a little hunchback while his eyebrows are getting thicker and gaining a little weight more weight as the years go by. He wasn't fat as how kids imagine how fat Santa clause is or not fat as Peter Griffin.(not fat as no neck ed thooo-). He lacked sleep too but so as his wife too from her job as a doctor
so he didn't complain much about it.

His weight always bothered him, even though he was only a little overweight since his the athletic and healthy type of guy, he didnt wanted to get out of shape. He always tried to squeeze some time for himself to work even little small mintues to take a quick job or any quick exercises, the amount of 10 mintues are good enough for him but it's obvious that he needed more time.

The duty as a father, a worker and a guy trying to get some exercise is obviously tiring.

"Hun, how many mintues have we have left before we reached camp tiki? It's hard to be the creative one in the family by stalling the kids is kinda hard." she whispered in his ear, making him laugh a little since he always find things relatable easy to laugh at even if it was intended or not( A GOOD EXAMPLE OF THAT IS MOTHER FUCKING MEMES, CHANG MY MIND)

"Just twenty mintues, I'll help you out for stalling those rascals" he whispered back at her, Margaret smiled and took a breath of relief.

"hey kids!" David yelled, getting the attention of his nine kids. It was almost like when you whistle for a dog and you immediately earn the dogs for attention but with these kids. When you call for them, you got there attention in an instant.

" what type of solo activities do you rascals want when we get there? There's a lot of activites for all of you to have fun with!" David cheered with a happy tone, it was life the stress that he was hiding from his family was gone in an instant or he was just faking to help his wife.

"Like what? The old cliche arts and crafts for 12 yearolds?"  His moody 17 teenage daughter said, making David look at her in disapproval.

"Hear your father out, lynn" Margaret said before David could speak again. He cleared his voice throat but he noticed that he was getting a little too close enough to possiblely hit the blue car so he slowed down a little.

"What were you suppose to say dad?" His 14 year old son, Ben. His voice  cracking little due to puberty, Lynn laughed at him, earning an annoyed stare from her brother.

"There's a lot of activities, you kids can even go paintball, surfing, hockey, bowling, tennis. Your a tennis player,Lynn. I bet that sparked your interest a little. If your lucky enough, you might get to go compite with some competitive players. Those type of players are fun to go head on am I right?" He said, seeing a little smile during in her daughter's lips. Lynn noticed that his father has a smile on when he mentioned bowling.

"so are you with bowling dad, I hope you got lucky to get those type of players too, old age like yours and getting competitive players would be difficult to find" Lynn said with a tone of voice, making her sound like that his challenging her old man. Making  some of her sibling laugh while others look at her in a 'oh no your going to get in trouble' look.

"Most Girls teens like you, arent really interested in sports, dont you already have a struggle with tryinv to make your friends play tennis and basketball?"

"Wanna make a bet?" She said

"I would love to, let's hear it" David said

Margaret and Ben are already tired at this type of conversation and just minded their own business but still has a small amount of curiosity and interest in their conversation.

It's not like that there so tired of there cocky and competitive personality, it's that those two always do these type of things which makes them a little boring to listen but the terms of their bets and what those two have to do always made them eager to watch.

Guessing who would lose or won is always a gamble. The rest of the siblings would cheer for their dad or big sister to win while the mother and oldest son would just have a blast watching them.

"We have to get some people to play with us especially competitive ones. If I win, you would let me and the rest of siblings pick our food for the rest of the camp days. No matter how expensive it is or not matter how many desserts we have even thought it's just breakfast." Lynn said with a smirk of intrigue is on her face, whenever they make bets. They dont whine or refuse to do it, they will do it whenever or whatever happens. Margaret glared at Lynn, Lynn getting the message in an instant

"Only for one week, for obvious reasons" with that, Ben and the rest of the siblings cheered for lynn and  Lynn immediately earned support and got her side from them.

Margaret took a breath of relief when she heard her daughter that it would be only for a week and knew that her daughter got her message correctly.

"Now that's just pure evil." David said, making the others laugh and eventually making himself have a little chuckle.

"if I win....I get to have a peacefull week and when something wrong or bad pops up, go to your mother and you have to help your mother whatever what pops up." David said, earning a little unconfident stare from Margaret .

" its only a weak." He said to his wife, making Margaret sigh and rolled her eyes then casted on a brochure about camp tiki. She gave it to her son named Aaron who was nine yearold.

Aaron opened it and saw a large amount varieties of activities allowed in camp tiki his large toothy grin and eyes full of excitement when casted in one particular extreme exciting activity.

" I wanna go sky diving!" He said.  Making Ben and Lynn look at their younger brother and so as the rest of his siblings.

"Sky diving?!" Lynn and Ben said, the rest of the siblings just cramped to Aaron and looking at the brochure and looking at it with huge adrenaline building up.

"here's a list so you guys could pick an activity for each one of you to have fun with. You guys can tell us what activities do  you all want to do when we get there." She said. Making David realise that the ride could finally be quiet and he will only hear faint whispers and laughs from his kids and even a little chatter from his wife.

He smiled at peace and put on his ear phones, putting the volume at a medium rate and just happily focus on his driving.

"All is well in this family"

he sung quietly, under his breath. nobody heard it expect from himself.

"Sky diving is allowed for 16 yearolds and above" ben groan in annoyance while Lynn cheered. The rest of the kids were envious towards her. Lynn didn't care, she was more excited and more hyper than Elizabeth but she could contain it inside of her and tried to hide it so it wont be a nuisance.

Elizabeth is six yearold, the most hypest and the easily excited family member or sibling in the family. She looked at the adult section and saw.

"What's the love room?" Ben and Lynn exchanged awkward glances, David  pull out one piece of his earphone and saw his wife casted a smirk on him. Ben took the pamphlet out of Aaron's hands.

"It's 5pm, are you sure that were close to camp tiki?" Margaret asked. David nodded, he made his driving a little faster just in case if anyone is getting impatient on the drive.

_________
"Just a recap on the kid just to be sure if I got it all right." The female worker cleared her throat as she holds the papers full of activities that David's kids wanted.

"Marco wants to do ice hockey, lizzie wants ice skating, Arthur and Adam wants hiking, Aaron and Linda wants parcore and surfing, Katie wants swimming, Ben wants paint ball and Lynn wants that too and sky diving. Did I got it all right?"

"Dont forget about junior." David said then the worker typed something on the computer to add the schedule.

"Sorry, David junior wants mountain climbing, right?" David nod in approval while the worker printed a schedule or the meer family aka David and Margaret's family.

The female worker grab a small pamphlet and show it to David. At the front design of the pamphlet is a the camp's mascot, Tiki. A large cute adorable blue raven with a small pearly necklace around its neck.

The one in the picture of the pamphlet was not so close with being adorable, it's actually horrifying and it's not even blue. It's black with red lines cominh from it's been. It was obvious that the lines were resembling blood and necklace was a ruby instead of a pearl

"Jesus christ." David whispered underneath his breath. His eyes fixated on the horrifying bird, it looked realistic instead of it's original adorable cartoonish style.

"As you know, Halloween is few weeks away now. Camp tiki has a large event for the parents to sign this, a large scary version of camp tiki's mascot will creep down at night and scare the heck out of your family! It's called, haunted tiki" Her voice sounded enthusiastic and optimistic about this. It even got David thinking to sign.

He wanted to get back at his family for annoying hik earlier at the van and when they got here. Nothing happend besides loud obnoxious noises from his family and the fact that he has to carry the suitcases by himself to all the way at the other side of camp tiki because that's where all of the meer family would be sleeping.

He even had to waited in this line for almost two hours just to get ready his kid's schedules and he whole family's. There were still a large amount of parents and guardian behind him, waiting for him to be done.

It made Lynn had a head start of their bet, he wont be surprised if he lost the bet. His wife would get mad and nag at him for being childish and losing money due to the bet. It even annoyed David just thinking about it.

A simple scare on the family at night would be fun and it wont cause any harm to his family. It might even make make his day.

"You can sign it anytime until 8pm, tonight. The schedules of your kids and the whole family's. Are there any questions?" She said. David thought about what she said and about every annoying thing that happend to him today, an evil smirk crept on to his face

"Well...can i sign the hunted tiki right not?" The worker smiled and gave the pamphlet to David with a pen. David open it and saw a large white box with signatures of parents and guardians who agreed to do the haunted tiki.

He happily and swiftly wrote his signature there and gave the pamphlet back and pen to the worker.

"Hunted tiki is going to scare the family next night or this night?"

"This night."

(Okay this story by this point has 2772 words and its ganna be a long one bois so hang on tight. Here's a summery to lessen it up, I'm only doing this because I also felt lazy as fuck)

(David felt bad and guilty so he kept saying to himself that it's not going to be that bad since it's just going to be a fun scare for the whole family even him then he remembers the terrifying looking mascot and realises most of his kids are under the age of  twelve and only has two teen kids.

'What was I thinking, that damn bird even looked scary to a 40 yearold. Its ganna traumatize the kids, it's my whole fault  just because I wanted to get back to my family to have some justice was just stupid, selfish  and childish. He mentally scolded himself, feeling the guilt and shame growing inside of him.

His wife tapped his shoulder, he looked up and saw his gorgeous looking wife. She has an anxious and worried smile on her face.

"What's wrong hun?"

"You know, I should the one who's asking you that, david." Margaret said as she sits next to him and wrap her arm around his shoulders. She pulled him closer. David smiled and rest his head on the top of Margaret's head due to their height difference.

"I'm just...touched that the kids letted me have a relaxing week" he said, Margaret didn't notice that he was lying so she just kiss  David on the cheek.

"You feel guilty cause you were obviously frustrated with them in the first place huh?"

"You can say that." David said then removing Margaret's arm around his shoulders

"It's fine, come back soon for your jog" she didn't have to ask if he would go for a jog, she knows that he always squeeze time for his exercise.

"I will." He said then both of the two lovers parted ways. Margaret going inside the family's cottage in camp tiki while David takes a walk.

He looked at his
